Donny dragged his friend to the dock, angry shouts and the clattering of furniture falling on it's side we're quick to follow as his suitcase flailed wildly and hit everything in it's path, human or otherwise. "Hurry, Robert!" He called to the man being pulled behind him, a big smile clear on his face before he turned his focus forward, the first footstep hitting the dock with a loud thump and a faint creak, accompanied by a panting Robert and the rolling luggage.
"I don't see why you had to-" Robert's eye caught sight of the other people and he shrank into his jacket, "...the dock isn't going anywhere..." He finished quietly, looking around and remembering what Donny had said about the murders, which made him become nervous almost immediately, "So this is..." He gripped his friend's hand as his nerves slowly crept into his mind and filled him with a sense of worry and foreboding, the idea of an island known for murders wasn't easy on his conscious. He began wondering why someone who'd had such trouble with murders that happened on an island would get married on that particular island and bring back bad memories, not something he'd expect to be welcome on someone's wedding day, even if they didn't remember much, there had to be some lingering fear. What if it happened again?
Donny seemed to forget that Harper's homed such a history, just excited about all of the things going on and the place he was currently at, it seemed rather nice to him, and this was a joyous occasion! It's not everyday that one of your family gets married... Though Donny was destined to marry the coming December, both he and his fiancé had a love for the month, the colors, the decoration, the celebrations, the gatherings of families, the weather, it'd be perfect and he knew it. The man's ears gained a tinge of pink at the thought and his cheeks blossomed in a rosy hue, "Harper's, yes, isn't this exciting?" He looked at Robert with energetic, sparkling eyes, both from the earlier thought and his natural optimism.
Robert couldn't help but grin a little in response, the man's smiles were oddly contagious, he always seemed to be the life of the party, and it felt good to know that someone so full of life was his best friend. "Oh, so... Mm, I have yet to meet your cousin." He felt a bit awkward at this realization but it wasn't as if he'd had much of a chance with Donny dragging him around like his suitcase.
(Sorry for the crap post and that it's so late, I'm on mobile, bluh.)
