Danni looked over at the two of them. "I'm a Sophomore, Malik." She rolled her eyes at his uncanny sense of always getting it wrong. "The name's Danni. New to the school but not to music." She held out her hand for the girl to shake. "And that adorable lead singer over there is Ally," she added, nodding towards Ally. She had to admit to herself she was quite excited seeing as she seemed to have met so many people in one day. It was nice to feel like she was making friends. @Vicander

"Danni," Lucas said, finally saying her name correctly, "this is my good friend Arianna. Arianna is multitalented. She plays many instruments," he explained, obviously hinting at something and wiggling his eyebrows at the Sophomore. "Arianna, this is Danni. She spontaneously invited me into her band, and I surprisingly accepted. I met her today. That's why I was climbing into her room."

"Really?" Arianna questioned as she laughed, recalling the event from last year. Ari remembered clearly what happened and felt bad that it didn't really go as planned. "So you never climbed into a girl's window to proclaim your feelings to her before?" she continued to tease him, putting a finger against her chin. "Or was I just imagining that whole scene myself?" She smirked as Lucas pulled her to the window. "Sure, I'd love to meet your newest girlfriend" she mumbled as she climbed into the window herself.


As soon as Arianna was inside the dorm, she looked over at the two new girls and shook Danni's hand first then Ally's. "I'm Arianna" she told them both, repeating what Lucas told them. "But you can call me Ari if you want. And Malik?" She couldn't help smiling at the name Danni had given Lucas. "I kinda like that nickname for you" she said, turning toward Lucas. "I can see why she would call you that." Arianna was glad to meet two new people. She had to make sure she remembered their names though since she was usually bad with names.


"So you're forming a band?" Ari asked Danni. "That's pretty cool." Arianna was already interested in the idea. But she wasn't sure if she should ask Danni if she could be in or just to let Danni decide if she wanted to ask Arianna herself. "I can play many instruments, yes" Arianna laughed. "But it's nothing special honestly." She didn't want to seem like she was bragging or anything. Besides, everyone here is obviously very talented.

Ally smiled softly at the two people and greeted them quietly but carefully made her way to the opposite wall. She wasn't used to meeting this many people in one day, or being in this size room with new people. She was feeling a little anxious so she remained quiet and tried her best to shrink herself somewhat. @Vicander

Danni noticed how uncomfortable Ally seemed to be and smiled at her gently. "Well Ally didn't think her voice was special but it gave me chills. She's absolutely amazing," Danni said, looking at her pointedly before turning to Arianna. "Here, I have an electric piano. If you can make that sound good you can make anything sound good." Danni reached into her dufflebag and pulled out the piano, resting it on her bed and turning it on. "Play whatever you want, just wow me, Hon, and I'll make you our official piano player," she said brightly, leaning back against the wall and waiting expectantly for her to play. @Vicander

Arianna noticed how Ally retreated to the other side of the room, not saying anything since she understood that she must have felt overwhelmed with all this. Ari nodded her head, watching as Danni took the piano out. She made her way to the bed, glancing over at Lucas before she placed her fingers on the keyboard. Arianna smiled happily, the piano being one of her favorite instruments. She was suddenly in one of her happy places. Arianna quickly thought of something to play and decided on a mash-up she created of popular songs she heard on the radio from the past summer. She had a lot of free time on her hands and spent most of the summer composing which had its benefits. After she finished the quick three minute performance, Arianna smiled happily then turned off the piano. "So what do you think?" she asked Danni, looking up at her. She was hoping that Danni liked it enough to let Arianna join the band.

Ally blushed and looked down, but raised her head again when Ari began to play again. When she finished Ally clapped softly with a smile on her face. She didn't say anything as she waited for Danni's verdict she walked over to the bed where her things were slowly and sat down. Opening up a thin, green notebook she began reading from it, tracing her finger along the words as she went. She was also mouthing the words and if one looked closely they would see she was reading slowly and it probably wasn't English. @Vicander

Lucas sat down on Danni's bed, watching his friend proudly. Damn, he knew she could play strings, but he never knew how naturally her fingers moved on a piano. He clapped along with Ally, beaming at Arianna. "Go ahead, Ari," he said with a chuckle, before looking to Danni. "She'd be a great asset, and a wonderful friend," he said, supporting his friend. He leaned back on the bed, resting his head on Danni's pillow with his hands supporting it underneath.

Danni watched as Lucas oh-so comfortably sat on her bed and scoffed, looking Ari up and down. "Hmm... maybe," she said, pretending to think for a moment before laughing lightly. "I'm kidding, you're definitely in!" She said brightly, clapping before running up and squeezing Arianna tight in a hug. She practically picked the girl up off the floor before letting go. "This is fantastic. Thanks for inviting your girlfriend, Malik!" she cheered, stepping in front of him and ruffling up his hair. "You certainly know how to pick them." She pushed the piano to the edge of her bed and sat down next to Lucas, looking around at the band she had created within the hour. "Alright guys, constellation names for our band name. We're doing pop-soul music. I, Danni- the hot one- will be the drummer. Ally- the down to earth one- will be our lead singer, Malik- the pop star wannabe one- will be guitar and back up vocals, and Ari- the jack of all trades- will be whatever we need her to be. Mostly piano though, sound good?" She chirped, looking around at everyone. @Vicander @The Awakened Moon

Lucas put his hands up in an exasperated manner. "I don't look that much like Zayn! We aren't even the same nationality." But he moved his legs and made room for the elated girl, despite her obnoxious comment. "I'm all about that pop-soul life, but I'm not about that girly constellation shit. We have to be artsy, Danni. I wouldn't want to listen to a band named 'Capricorn' or 'Ophiuchus,'" he huffed.

Ally looked up surprised. "I wouldn't say I'm..." she paused, looked down at her notebook for a second then looked back up. "Síos go domhain. Thank you, but I don't think I am." she then looked at Lucas. "It's not girly. It's history. The stars tell stories of great heroes and powerful beings. Those who think them dumb or girly, such as yourself, are merely Ajax, and not Odysseus." she said with a hint of sass in her voice. This was one thing that she always prided herself on; history and mythology. If anyone ever talked down about them she would bring out her inner Greek geek and tear them a new one verbally. They usually didn't understand her, but she was satisfied. @Vicander @The Awakened Moon

"Yeah, Malik, don't be such an Ajax. Of course, I'd compare him to Francis but Deadpool is my second husband so how can I go without a reference?" she chuckled and punched his shoulder playfully. "Ally, this is why you're down to earth. You're awesome. Malik, don't go trying to get in her pants, okay? I'll break your jaw," Danni said cheerfully, despite the darkness of her threat. She looked back to Ally. "I like the way you look at it. History, champions, and all that glory shit. It's nice, you know? To hear someone with real brains." She gave a pointed nod towards Lucas, the boy who she was now considering the 'fake brains' of the family. @Vicander @The Awakened Moon

Arianna smiled as Danni hugged her, returning the hug happily. Once Danni sat down and stated everyone's roles in the band, Ari nodded in agreement and leaned against the nearest wall. "Yeah it all sounds good. But I agree with Lucas" Arianna stated, smirking at his input about the band's name. "We should have an artsy name, something that sounds interesting you know? Constellations are cool though. Maybe we could just choose a less...feminine sounding name for Lucas if he's that picky about it" she teased him. Arianna enjoyed teasing her close friends, but mostly Lucas especially. She started playing with her hair as she started to brainstorm quietly, something she did when she was nervous or in deep thought. Her eyes landed on Ally when she heard the quiet girl speak. Arianna was mostly surprised at first, smirking at the sass oozing from the girl's words. "Ally's right" Ari said after Danni. "I mean, if we find a really cool name, we could sound extremely badass" she nodded slowly.

Lucas scrunched up his face and waved his arms up in the air again, trying to focus on the girl's conversations. Their topics switched from one thing to another, and it left him confused. "Who is Ajax? Who do you prefer who to? Síos go domhain? Also, I'm not going to get into anyone's pants! Jesus!" He tried to act aggravated, but to be honest, it was humorous how fast their minds moved. He chuckled, looking around at them. Perhaps he could get used to this bunch of losers. "I know why you keep comparing me to Malik," he said to Danni, "It's because we're both tall, dark, and handsome." Lucas smirked, moving on to Arianna's comment so Danni couldn't answer. "Something really mysterious would be interesting. What if...L-A-D-A. A-D-L-A. A-L-D-A," Lucas rambled to himself, trying to arrange their initials in a hip acronym. He probably sounded insane to the girls.

After standing in a few minutes of awkward silence Darrel remembered it was probably time to head back to dorm. Her parents were always quick to tease her about how slowly she unpacked.


"I'm gonna head back Rufus. See you later." She announced curtly, gathering her belongings and pushing the door open. It was another fifteen minutes until she found the corridor her dorm was in, finding things was not her strong point. The first the she noticed was the loud chatter coming from the corridor, then it was the door flung open carelessly. Lastly, as her curiosity got the better of her, she peered inside and noticed the people inside. Three girls and a guy.


"What the hell?" Darrel muttered to quietly for the four to hear.


"What the hell is this?" She exclaimed over their voices, making herself known. She didn't recognize any of them to be Seniors so it was probably okay to shout. After the initial storm, she finally noticed the instruments scattered across the room and came to the mental conclusion that they were starting a band.

Ally eeped at Danni's words and pulled her shirt collar up to her nose to try and hide her bright red face. "Bhfuil tú ag embarrassing dom!" she whined softly. Once she had calmed down and fixed her shirt she looked around at her new bandmates. "Ajax is a hero of greek myth." she explained to Lucas before thinking for a moment. "Off the top of my head there is Cassiopeia, Bootes, Cygnus, Draco and Aquila that are constellations that aren't zodiac signs. Do you need me to explain what or who those are?" she asked playing with the hem of her shirt. "And if you're trying to use our initials as an anagram the only one that works is A LAD I think. I already tried." Ally flinched and almost dived off the side of the bed when someone yelled from the door. She slowly turned her head to look at the culprit, fear written in her eyes. "I'm sorry, were we disturbing you?" she squeaked out. @Vicander @The Awakened Moon @Garnet

"For your information I find Zayn to be the least attractive member of One Direction," she scoffed, about to throw in some more quick wit when a girl came in, her tone rather attacking as she yelled at them all. Danni noticed the way Ally jumped and stood up quickly. She was the leader, it seemed, so she would handle this situation. "Hello to you too, Sunshine!" She said brightly, sarcasm dripping through her voice. "This is a dooorrrrmmmm," she drew out the word, mocking the girl's intelligene. "D-O-R-M. Got it, Hon?" She cooed brightly, a smirk on her face as she crossed her arms over her chest and rose an eyebrow in challenge. @Vicander @PenguinFox @The Awakened Moon

"Oh my God, strawberry, sit down and stop mocking her." Lucas eyed the woman up and down, noticing her beauty immediately. Wow. He stood up and pushed the Sophomore out of the way, extending his hand to the stranger. "Lucas Hastings," he said, introducing himself with a charming smile on his face, "I'm the only mature one in this band, it seems." He looked back at the jumbled students, rolling his eyes and facing the stranger again. "And you are?"

"Malik, you can't honestly be flirting with this girl. You don't even know her name." Danni rolled her eyes, slightly bothered by the way he shoved her out of the way. She sighed, moving back to sit on her bed in the spot he had been sitting in, glaring at his back. She didn't know why but it frustrated her that he was so willing to push her aside. They were part of a band now, right? Didn't that mean childish or not they had to stand together? Besides, she wasn't the one barging into somebody else's dorm and yelling like they were all taking up her precious space. Obviously they weren't. Arianna jumped slightly and pushed herself off the wall after hearing someone yell at them from outside the dorm. Ari looked at the girl, sure she saw her before maybe last year, and then glanced at the other three in the dorm. She bit her lip, noticing how quick Lucas was to push Danni out the way and introduce himself to the girl. Arianna hated to admit it, but toward the end of her sophomore year she couldn't help actually having a budding crush toward her friend. It was difficult not to. A lot of girls did, and his talents was definitely one of the great attributes to why. "He's not the only mature one here. He's probably the least mature one" Arianna said, slightly forcing a smile as she looked at the girl. "I'm Arianna by the way" she said and nodded to the girl.

Darrel had almost regretted shouting when the blond girl had asked about her motives, obviously frightened. But all sorts of sympathy was thrown out the window as soon as the red head had spoken up. Right then Darrel knew she wouldn't like her.


"Got it, darlin'. You're a great help." She replied, mustering the most plastic smile she could, though anger was evident in her tone.


Then the guy stood up and took charge of the situation and introduced himself. Darrel shook his hand firmly. The redhead made another remark which Darrel couldn't quite catch, or rather, didn't want to.


"Darrel Maruyana." The the dark haired girl introduced herself through a slightly forced smile.


"Nice to meet you Lucas, Arianna."

Ally slid off the bed and onto the floor between the two beds so that there was now something between her and the new arrival whom everyone seemed to have differing opinions about. "I'm Ally." she said quietly but she was almost sure she wasn't heard. She pulled her notebook from the bed and opened it up again. "Tá an iomarca daoine anseo." she mumbled as she looked over the top of the notebook at Danni. She closed her eyes and began humming, softly at first but it gradually grew louder. She was humming the song she had sung for Danni earlier in an attempt to drown out her anxieties. @Vicander @The Awakened Moon

Danni smiled at Ally, taking her drumsticks and adding a beat under the song. She enjoyed trying to find the perfect sound that would help accessorize the music nicely, and it had become easy for her over the year. She tapped a little louder than she normally would, so Ally could see what she was doing. A little help to drown out Danni's own frustrations. Drumming always made her feel better, especially when she had some music to drum to. @Vicander @Garnet @The Awakened Moon

Lucas admired the slope of her eyes, the paleness of her skin, and the length of her neck. "Pleased to meet you," he said smoothly, before sitting back down on Danni's bed. He had to admit, it had been a little startling the way she entered the room. But she was a nice sight for sore eyes, and so he didn't argue. "Why did you stop by?" he asked the girl from his spot on the bed, raising his voice over the drumming.


He subconsciously began to tap his foot to the music.

Arianna sighed as she made her way over to the window, leaving Lucas with his new crush. She rolled her eyes as she looked out the window, listening to the music that Danni and Ally were making. After a few minutes Arianna went back to Danni's piano that was still on the bed and turned it on. She lowered the volume a little bit before she started to play with the keys, trying to play Ally's song based off of listening to her hum. This kept Arianna's mind occupied for the mean time while in her happy place.
