FireMaiden I VOLUNTEER AS THE ONE WHO KNOCKED ANGELINA OFF HER BROOMSTICK

Kelly showed promise as a Quidditch player from the first time he hopped on a broom, though in his early years he never knew where to draw the line and could be extremely reckless, as someone with a lot of restless energy and little concern for himself. I think the grudge she holds would be an interesting one, and largely warranted, with her being a devout and genuinely caring student, and him being largely disengaged and rebellious. The cherry on top is that he's prickly and emotionally guarded, he'd always feel bad about it but not know how to apologise. Too stubborn to admit he's at fault, but he'd know it. He got a bad rap and reputation early on, and this would be a very fitting cause for him to be misunderstood as someone aggressive or antisocial.
I'd love to see them mend that grudge in their final year!! It'd be an interesting arc to write.

At that point she'd be struggling to accept she has a place at Hogwarts (more than she already is). She'd try to accept it was a an accident but also maybe think it was because she's Muggle-Born, Slytherin, or both. Especially if he never actually apologized for it. It also very like would have played a role in her keeping her distance from most people. Mending the grudge will definitely be interesting to write.

He'd be anxious and defensive, and if she mentioned feeling like it was targeted due to her Muggleborn status/belonging to Slytherin, he would have reacted and blown up. Big time, telling her he doesn't care for her or her house, where she's from, the whole damn school. I feel like that incident would have shattered any chance of understanding, when really they were both struggling with the feeling they didn't belong. Would you want to include a big disagreement like that?

I'll add this all to my own CS tomorrow! and later on we can hash out some sort of chance encounter where they're forced to chat, though I think he'd realize it's her last year and go out of his way to bail her up and make a better effort to say sorry.
I'd actually love for him to go to her book club eventually!! he's also Muggle-born, but from an impoverished and broken background where he never would have known the comforts of something like books, and reading. I nearly put in my character sheet that he likes picture books because he struggled with basic literacy for so long (and still does sometimes, fuelling his impatience for classes) as he was largely uneducated as a kid. Having them bond over books, him coming to her with questions etc, would be a really wholesome way for them to finally get off on the right foot, and see a deeper (and kinder) side of eachother, eventually leading to a conversation about how they struggled to adjust to life at Hogwarts

And Kelly reacting to yell at her like that would only feed into her belief that she doesn't belong, can't fit in, won't make friends etc etc. I wouldn't ever call him a bully, though he can be mean when he's hurt. I think after that blowout, he'd simply avoid her and be very flippant or blunt in any interaction

I was thinking of adding that maybe she and Kelly partied a bit back in the day, hence the crush/friendship when he's that year younger than her. I've considered aging him up so he's in the same year as others, but I'll see if any other 5th/6th year students join up first

If anyone gets bored of waiting for the rp too I'd love to do some 1x1 threads writing out the history that has occurred!
