I am here and ready to rumble! I already have an OC in mind, but I wanted to see some other apps so I can get an idea of what we're all aiming for. Like, for instance, what age we're aiming for.

I have two character's I'd love to play (either of them or both of them, I don't mind). I've a Hufflepuff and a Slytherin; a boy/enby and an enby.

Anyways I'll be a-waiting other apps to finish before posting mine.

But... can I totes reserve Shin Taeho and/or Fo Porter as faceclaims pls??

Of course, I should have made that clear. Doubling is fine!

@ShurikenPhoenix
1. Awesome, thankyou.

2. Rad~~~ I'm totes making both my charas.

Um if you're still online @Jadea Smyth - is there a particular age range you're expecting? As in, are you expecting the characters to be mostly in fourth grade? Sixth? Third? First?? I whole bunch of different grades from first to seventh???

Its no problem.

Also, i'm English so I don't know much about grades, but between ages 15-18 probably.

@Jaye

I guess this means approx 4th year-7th year? (If Harry was 11 in 1st grade then it would be approx 11/12=1st grade etcetc until 17/18=7th grade).

Hogwarts grades are literally based on English schools. How do you not. What. ?????/ ??? ?? ?
No we don't have grades here in England, and I lived in Australia a few years back they are completely different. In England, school goes up in years. So, year 9, year 10, year 11...

I think fifth year may be the equivalent of year 10, which is 14-15. So seventh grade should be 16-17 right?

@Jaye

And yes *secretly thanks god* no first years.

...Ah. Which Australia did you go to? Because you just described how my schooling went. It goes K 1 2 3 ... 10 11 12 end right? My mistake, though - Australia uses the word years & grades interchangably. I thought England used the word 'grade' predominantly.

Though all of that should be irrelavant because we're using Hogwarts?

Argh look I'm tired and was dealing with customers all of today I just couldn't understand why you couldn't give an estimate of which year/grade in Hogwarts characters were expected to be in.

I better go sleep.

I lived in Perth, WA.

Anyway, don't worry about it. I'm not so sure it matters what grade the characters are set in, as long as they are all similar in age. I guess I just didn't know because I've never been to school in a place that uses grades before?

Have a nice one,

@Jaye

Okokok I have a boy in mind that I think would be quite interesting! I'll make the CS but I forgot that I have French summer work that I need to do... But I'll make the character first (I NEED to sort out my priorities)!

It's a totally inconspicuous Weasley quote! Well done haha

that's just my school-chosen language! I've also got Dutch and German on the side (by my choice)... I've been practicing on them WILLINGLY! But French... my teacher was born in New Jersey and Boston, never even been to France... Oh, how I hate it lol

Depends on the teacher, yanno? My mom speaks French better than my teacher...

You practice Dutch in your spare time also? Me too! My auntie lives in Holland and I'm planning on attending university there. I much prefer Dutch to French and I agree with the teacher thing. I took French for my option because I had a really good teacher and understood it perfectly. Yet nowadays I've grown to dislike it. @ItsStacysMom

You really don't, trust me! What did you take? @ShurikenPhoenix

I took Drama, Music and History, but I've always had a knack for languages so I loved French. We were only allowed three options though. Fortunately for me I am learning Swedish so one day I'll just teach there. @Jadea Smyth

Ah sweet! Yea, I've been practicing since probably April or May, so I'm not too advanced, lol! I have to be honest I don't have any relations in Holland (My mother's side is pure Irish), I in fact watched a Dutch move Jongens and was like 'Oh my god I want to learn Dutch all of a sudden" (might have to do with the fact that the main character is actually the most attractive person I've ever seen... and I may be using him for my FC) but I pick up German extremely quickly! I've only been practicing it for a few days and I'm at the same level that I am in Dutch! My dad spoke German (Grandfather was native) but he never spoke it around me, so I have no idea! The fact that Dutch and German are so similar is SO confusing though! Like, all three languages intertwined: Hell.

French: Je - I

Dutch: Je - You

Dutch: De - The (also the fact that you have to learn what is Het and what is De)

German: Die Der Das - The

German: Du - You

French: Du - of the

Not to mention the small spelling differences! Ich and Ik, Hond and Hund, en and er, JEEZ!

Sorry, I have so much to say about languages agh
