Ren opened her book to the pages that explained what certain shapes in the bottom of their cups could mean. She was really nervous about giving a reading to Alec. What if she gave him the wrong reading, and messed his day up? Oh great, now she was feeling anxiety stab at her chest. She exchanged cups with him, and started to look through the pages of her book for a shape that at least kind of matches what was in the bottom of his cup. "Why does this make me so nervous"? She had meant to just THINK it, but it quietly slipped her lips as she flipped the page.


~KRAD~


The teacher had left from his spot in the front of the room, and disappeared into his little office up the stairs at the back of the room. Krad sighed with relief that he was not going to picked on for being late. It was a rare moment indeed. For whatever reason, he was Snape's favorite student to harrass and put down. He looked over the pages of his books to Alize with an almost smile on his face.

Alec chuckled softly."You can relax Ren. You don't need to be nervous."He said softly as he looked at her, before looking through his book.


Alize quickly looked away and down to her hands quickly, blushing lightly. He had seen her looking at him. As long as he didn't chose her for a partner if they did an activity with partners, she should be fine.

But what if his reading was some foretold horror? "Yeah", she said nervously with a shaky smile as she read through the book. Then she finally vame across it. As she read through it the description she found herself paling and her heart racing.


~KRAD~


Everyone snapped to attention as Snape renetered the room with his cold malicious stare. He continued his lectre on the intro to class. Then when he was finished gave everyone some homework. To read tge first chapter of their book, and practice the spell of casting light. Krad grianed wanting to learn something with more meaning and substance han trnig your wand into a flash light.

Alec tilted his head as she paled but shook his head as he read her shapes in her teacup.


Alize sighed at his words. She already knew how to that. She glanced back at Krad, she couldn't help iy. He was so cute and handsome. She wanted to introduce herself but didn't want to be shot down as the previous girl had. She shook her head softly, she would introduce herself after class, she wanted to be closer to him in friendship and maybe progress to a relationship.

When the time was up the teacher cleared her throat, and announced that it was time to read your partner's fortunes. Thankfully they didn't have to read them out loud to everyone in the class. She was feeling super nervous, and her throat had started to feel dry on her. She wondered how he would react to the news of the reading, and felt weird about her being the one to read it to him. "This is the shape of the Nova. Something bright and brilliant will burn out over time until it no longer exists; losing something of value to you". She bit down on her lower lip and gave him that guilty apologetic face. That silent, 'I am sorry'.

Snape had heard the sighing groan that escaped Krad' lips. He sat straight up and stared down at his book as he read some of the chapter. Snape had bit down on his lip as his face hardened as if he were to suddenly explode on the student. Instead he took in a deep frustrated breath and dismissed the class. He had gotten tired of staring at their miserably dull faces, and wanted some spare time before his next class. Krad closed his book, put his things away, and started to leave the room casually.

 

[Aspy Ink]

Alec thought for a bit. "Hmm.......well that's interesting."He said softly as he looked at her, smiling still to help ease her nerves."Relax Ren....."


Alize quickly put her stuff away and walked out after Krad. Once they were out of class and in the hall, she took a deep breath before saying."I'm Alize....."She said rather quietly after she had gotten his attention.

She was relieved by his words. Her posture even relaxed some as she nodded her head, and set his cup down on the table they shared. Then it was his turn to give her reading. She had no clue what he was going to say, and also held no expectations for whatever was to come. The teacher had some students read their fortunes out loud, luckily thought Alec and Ren were not one of the ones chosen for it. She braced herself now, ready to listen.

He heard the voice behind him that squeaked out it's name. Then he turned slowly on his heels to face the little nervous sound that shook above the noise of everyone walking along, and talking. "I atm Krad", he told her feeling confused by her introduction. He was not sure why she reaching out to him. Was she a fan girl? Was she a hired hit to assassinate him? Was she just a normal person in need of companionship? He really wasn't sure, and was teetering on being interested and uninterested.

Alec looked into his book, then her cup."It's a sun, which means something happy will come to you. "He said with a slight smile ss he looked at her.


Alize smiled slightly when he didn't shoot her down."Uhm........I uh........I was wondering.......what class do you have you next?"She asked quietly, a slight pink to her cheeks though she know looked at thr ground. Horribly nervous, which wss pretty obvious what a stupid question! She scolded herself mentally.

She smiled at his reading, yet at the same time felt this heavy guilt in the pit of her chest. How is it that she got this light little good, no big deal reading while he had this heavy, thick, kind of depressing and stressful reading from her. She held her wrist with the opposite hand and looked at his face while avoiding looking into his eyes. "I am sorry about your reading", she told him softly. "Alright, now class I will give you the next ten minutes to finish up your readings before we move on for the rest of class"; the teacher said with a peaceful happy look on her face.

Krad was still confused by this interesting creature that wasn't moving along. This pretty face that was following him around with a dainty blush face that was actually really adorable. Usually he would get bored and tell the girl off. Instead he looked ahead of himself and said, "I have an elective practical magic class next", he told her.

Alec shook his head, briefly placing his hand on hers before removing."Don't worry about it Ren. It's fine."He said with a soft smile as he looked over at her."Worrying might ruin your pretty face."


"Oh."She said softly as she tried to think of what to say next."I have a free period right now.......Uhm......I was wondering if maybe later tonight you might want to go on a walk......with me...? I mean, I know we technically aren't allowed too but I take a walk every night....."She said softly, stumbling on some of her words as she looked to the ground again. Shr was so nervous.

She slowly removed her hand from his as her face regained color with some blush to it. Ren couldn't help but to smile a little when he called her face pretty. The teacher was happy with how that class had gone. It was soon dismissed. Ren put her stuff away and crossed the room to the two sinks to rinse out her mug. The smell of the tea as she rinsed her cup out filled her nose. It was warm, and sweet. Made the hunger pains she was feeling go away.

Was this strange and kind of pretty girl asking him out? He couldn't help but to feel amused now. "You know...", he was about to turn the offer down with an elaborate sentence when before he knew it he said, "When do you go for the walk? I just might be interested"... What? Why did he just do that? Huh... Strange. He is such a loner, why did he want to see what this girl was about and spend time with her. It is not something he ever cared about before.

When she heard his first words her hopes fell some but perked back up when he said his next words."Usually right after curfew. It's when I won't see any students."She said softly.


Alec watched as she left, waiting a little bit before going to rinse his cup out as well, he couldn't help it. He thought she was cute and he wanted to know her better.

She rinsed her cup, put in her bag, and then looked at Alec as he approached the sinks next. As she looked at him now, he was handsome. Oh no~! She caught herself checking him out. With the embarrassment stabbing her in the back and a face turning red she turned around and started to leave the classroom. As she stepped into the doorway she turned around yet again. His back was facing her as he rinsed out his cup. She only had the courage she did because they were the only ones in the room at the moment. "Thank you for helping me last night", she told him sincerely.

It is when she doesn't see any students. A person who doesn't crowds or bonding? Yet she was wanting to seek him out. What did she want? "Yeah, I will meet in the enchanted garden behind Haggrid's place", he told her with one of his charming smiles on his face. "I look forward to seeing you under the veil of night's gown", he told her with a low seductive tone and a wink. Nodding his head he went in the direction for his next class. Outside in a field with Haggrid.

"You're welcome."He said with a soft smile as he looked at her, putting his cup in his bag."Would you like me to walk yoy to your next class?"He asked with a smile.


Alize nodded."See you then."She said softly as she turned to go to the great hall to work on the recently assigned homework from Professor Snape.

Escorted to her next class? She imagined what that would look like for a moment. Walking side by side talking amongst all the other people; but with Draco in the crowd watching. What she had done this morning isn't going away fro a long time, and he will want to get back at her. But what if he tried to take it out on Alec instead? "Sure", she said with a smile putting those thoughts aside. She waited for him to join her, and then left the room with him. In the hallway she grabbed her wand, flicked her wrist and muttered a charm. In the air with glowing sparkles of light was written Muggle Studies. It was her next class.


~KRAD~


He happily headed for his next class. Care of magical creatures. He wondered what interesting pets Haggrid will have adopted, and cares for this year as the proud teacher of the class. He walked through halls, and down the corridors, out into the courtyards. He heard something soaring through the air something made sharp whistling sound that he barely had time to notice before it knocked him down. People began to watch and gather rather quickly. A group of girls wanted to make him feel better, some guys were whispering and laughing, while some of the guys wanted to help embarrass or hurt him. "I am sorry that was not meant for you"! Called over a small group of Huffle Puff kids. They looked like harmless first year students. They obviously meant it. "That's okay. Watch what you're doing", he told them in a flat voice as he got up and dusted himself off. Then he continued to his next class.

Alec smiled."Muggle Studies? I have that too."He said with a slight chuckle as he walked with her, his hands resting at his sides as he walked with her, he wanted to make sure she got to her class safely.


Alize smiled ad she worked on her homework, thinking of Krad most of the time as she worked. He didn't turn het down, it actually shocked her some.

No way... They had the next class together? Now she was starting to feel even more nervous. Her skin felt tight and sweaty, her chest was aching slightly from her racing heart, and her mind was on over drive from a trillion little thoughts all making one big love fest in her head. She kept walking down the hall next to him, not sure of what to say. There were some people that would give her a strange look, and then whisper. She wanted to tell herself that they weren't talking about her, but in truth they probably were. She was the person who would by now be a rat and scurry quickly to her next class avoiding everyone around her, and hoping someone didn't try to adopt her rat cuteness or pet her. Crap~! They were like half way there and no one said a single word. How awkward? "How come you aren't like your father"? Did she really just ask THAT of all things? Her eyes bulged and you could just herself shrink into herself. "I am so sorry", she squeaked wanting to crawl under a rock and become a tiny midget troll.

When he got to class Haggrid gave him a nice warm smile and a huge hug. "Top of the afternoon to you", he told Krad. "Sir, lunch hasn't passed yet", he said with a slight smile on his sexy sleek face. "Oh, you may just be right about about that one yet", said Haggird as other students began to gather. Then class was to start. There was a girl that stood by him, and was admiring him so hard core that she was all but drooling on him. Krad sort of cringed, and turned to face her. "Could you please not smother me"? He asked her. He sounded like such an arrogant jerk, but he didn't really want her want there. He probably could have said it differently, but there it was. She was horrified, and everyone was looking at him like the horrible guy he was just in that moment. ....CRAP... "Hey,"... He sighed and scratched his head trying to make up for it as she slowly scooted away from him. "I will be your partner in group in today", he offered. That quickly made everything magically better.

Alec shook his head lightly as she apologized."It's..fine."He said giving her a small smile as he ran his hand through his blonde hair."I guess I just don't like how he does stuff. I don't hate the stuff he hates. Never have. I've always been what you could call the rebel in the family. He's not too happy with me currently though. Because I'm taking Muggle Studies."He said as he looked at her, smiling still.


Alize soon finished the reading and began to do the writing part of the assignment from Snape.

That was not exactly the answer she was expecting, but then again she wasn't sure what reply she was waiting for when she said it. "I guess I just didn't realize that you were different before... and I judged you to be the same. I am sorry for that", she said to him feeling bad for all the time she had spent avoiding him because of his family. She sat down at a table silent in a moment of thought when they got to class.

Once the class introduction had ended each pair of students were assigned their magical creatures to take care of. Krad and his partner were assigned to a pair of menagerie rats. While the furry critters skittered about sniffing them and riding on their shoulders; they opened their books and began to read a little bit about them. For you see, before anything super fun can happen you have to read about your animal, and then gain their trust. The cool part about it this time was that Haggrid was using some common animals, and if you were able to have a healthy and strong bond with your creatures you might get to keep them. Haggrid was an animal lover unlike any other, and one of his favorite things was to adopt pets, and give pets good homes that needed it. Krad like animals, but not as much as his teacher. The menagerie rats have long stretchy tails that can be used for rope, and live longer than the ordinary rat. Krad didn't usually like animals much honestly, but these two girl rats were just the cutest things he had ever seen, and he really wanted to get to know them.

Alec shook his head once more."It's fine. Everyone thinks I'm like my brother and father."He said with a slight shrug as he sat next to her. He wanted to get to know her better, and hopefully progress past friends.


Alize sighed softly as she leaned back some, thinking. Should she wear pajamas when she went on the walk? No, she'd wear the clothes she had on now. She sighed softly as she adjusted her skirt and folded her legs beside her, she couldn't help but think about Krad. He was so handsome, and every girl liked him, and most everyone looked better then her, so she didn't have much of a chance with him.

"Why do you think he tried so hard to impress Mr. Draco"? She asked him out of curiosity. Ren shifted in her seat some, and started to get her notebook, quil, and book of muggle studies. She was about to interrupt his answer he was going to start when she realized she already knew the answer to it. He came from a long family of pure bloods. Arrogant, mostly nasty, set in their ways pure bloods who naturally hate the muggle born, and even more than that the mud bloods. Then she decided, "You know what? Your brother isn't my concern right now", she told him with a faint smile on her face. Class was going to begin in a few minutes, and for the first time she nervous and excited to be connecting with someone. Another being.

Krad's partner thought she would be clever and reach out to pet the rat on his shoulder. Her hand "accidentally" slipped and touched his neck. She shivered faintly with the pleasure of his warm skin, his sexy physique, and the fact that she just got away with touching him. Something that rarely happens in the history of EVER. He cringed, jumped back, and scratched his neck where she had touched him. He couldn't tell her off this time, was like an angry cat when a stranger with a bad smell enters the room. The rat that had been on her shoulder decided to join her mate on his shoulder.

Alec smiled."He shouldn't ever be your concern, Ren."He said as he got out his stuff, ready to take notes as he let a soft breath escape his lips, running a hand through his blonde hair once more.


Alize leaned her head back as she thought, thinking of where they could walk, though she really just figured on letting Krad lead the walk.
