Fandom Hogwarts: First years!

Mia's hands clenched onto the side of the boat as it began to move. She wasn't such a fan of water, but it being the way they were going to get to Hogwarts she didn't have much choice, obviously. She tried to keep up a smile to hide the slight fear she could feel in the pit of her stomach as she kept her eyes on the bottom of the boat before looking up to Aralin. "I'm sure we will spend time together, no matter what. As for houses, I don't have the faintest idea." Mia really didn't, she didn't know what house she preferred to be in either. The only thing she knew, is that she would be placed where she belonged.

Aralin placed a hand on Mia's back and gave a reassuring smile. Looking past her to David she asked "Are you ok? You got wet after all I bet your freezing." Her eyebrows pinched together in concern.

“Fine, fine, I won’t rock the boat.” He muttered, cranky that his fun was smashed in to pieces. “I think we’re going to be a nice pair, like fire and ice.” His lips spreading into a big smile as the boats reached the castle. About time to get off, he thought to himself a sudden pit of anxiety balling in his stomach. “I can do this…” He whispers to himself, mending his face into a look of confidence.

Elliott wasn't keen on the shirt being wrapped around her clock, and she slowly removed it with a sheepish smile, placing it down next to Joseph on the boat's bench. She wasn't cold; it was more of a nervous reaction, so she didn't feel at all bad refusing his clothing. When the boat jerked into life, she fell forward a little, catching herself in the edges of the boat. She looked around, hoping to see a tentacle of the squid or something, propelling them forward, but it seemed it was just some form of incantation. She sighed, slightly disappointed, and looked up to the sparkling lights of the castle. Her tummy gurgled, and she wrapped her arms about herself again, her nerves getting the better of her.

"This is it then!! Into Hogwarts we go!!" Her sing song voice belied her nervousness, a slight quiver to her lip, and her voice, through her grin.

Andromeda looked between the two and sighed as she felt the movement of the boat. Watching Elliot she smirked, holding back a chuckle. "Careful you never know what's lurking in these waters. Perhaps a mermaid looking for their next snack." Of course, the mermaids would not feed off of the students, although perhaps the girl did not. Elliot seemed to know little of the wizardry world, although she could just be playing naive. She watched as the school became closer, sighing as she looked around listening to Elliot squeal. "Oh no. This is only the beginning." In honesty, Andromeda felt her stomach drop. She was the last Malfoy of her generation to go to Hogwarts, she would be what they remembered.

"Fire and ice..." Josh repeated quietly, trying to figure out which one he would be. He frowned, unable to come up with a logical solution. "Fire and ice aren't a good combination... Fire melts ice and makes it a water. And water can be used to snuff out fire. We can be like... like.... um..." He frowned again, crossing his arms. "Dang it. I don't know one." He looked toward the castle, pulling the right half of his lip into his mouth and sucking on it nervously. His parents had talk him about Hogwarts, but he still didn't know what to expect. What if things had changed since the time they'd been there? He looked at his friend, seeing his look of confidence. How did he do that? How was he so relaxed?!

Mia glanced up hearing someone singing. Seeing the young girl almost below out the words it made her giggle slightly, giving her comfort as she released her hands from the boat and smiled to Aralin. The lights coming from the castle helped too, knowing that they'd be there soon enough. That they'd become great witches and wizards they can be. That they'd become great friends. So many things Mia had to look forward to helped with all the nerves, helped into giving her hope.

Aralin pulled her hands into her jacket pockets to warm them and found her wand there. It was a sensation she still was not used to. To think this wand and her were capable of so many wonderful things. Capable of mending things that were broken. Capable of creating wonderful illusions and tricks. Capable of defeating foes. Capable of almost everything! Her mind also wondered to the many bad things that magic could do. To the pain and horror it had caused in the past. She pushed the thoughts from her mind. This wasn't going to be like that! These people were not Death Eater's. They were students of Hogwart's just like her.

(So if this rp is going to die off... Does anyone want to pm rp with me? I quite like my character and I don't want to just toss her aside. If the rp starts back up that would be awesome though!)

David looked at Aralin and reassured her by saying "Dont worry im not all that cold. Anyway the trip to school seems short so im sure ill live." he smiled at her to try and make the lie more assuring. He then put his hands in his pockets only to shortly after pull out a very wet pocket notebook. "No. No no no no no no oh please by the maker of my wand please let this be salvageable." He then puts it next to him and pulls out his wand "Quick do any of you know a drying spell or something? Please tell me one of you know one." he then continues to freak out over the wet and old looking notebook.

Aralin stared horrified as the boy freaked out. This notebook must be very important to him! Her first instinct was to look for help, only to realize they were quite alone. She pulled out her wand intending to simply shout 'DRY IT!' before remembering the volatile reaction her wand had given at the shop. Suddenly afraid of what might happen Aralin put it away quickly, hoping nobody had noticed. "I... I don't. I'm sorry." the young girl muttered, feeling helpless.

(Sorry to inturrupt, but it seems i have no choice with the new update, i was wondering if this rp was still accepting? :3)
