Fandom Hogwarts: First years!

Well, when we're in, how should I introduce my character? ((It's as if I always need help with this xD))

Well, I suppose I could take a seat near your character and start a conversation!))

Alex was nervous, his fingers twitched across his robes in a compulsive manner. “I can’t wait to get there!” He mumbled to himself excitedly, his fingers finally gripping the edge of his seat. He glanced around the small cab he was in on the long train. It seemed to consist of a few other young witches and wizards, but of course, Alex was much too nervous to speak to any of them.

"Is this seat taken?" asked a small voice against the doorframe. Josh was small, and his hair a wild mess of black curls. His hands fidgeted nervously, fearing rejection from Alex. "I just... There's no other place, so... I'm Joshua, by the way. Uh, Rose. Joshua Rose."

Alex smiled crookedly, his hands quitting there nervous dance. “Well, u-um, I guess.” He replied, stuttering slightly. “I’m Alex, Alex Windrider. Nice to meet you, Josh? I can call you that, Right?” He let his crooked smile take over again as he scooted over to make room for his new acquaintance. “I hope you don’t mind, I’m not much of a talker.”

((That would really help xD Zach's a talkative guy, but this train ride is a bit))

((uncomfortable for now xD))

((I didn't mention Zack's sporadic behavior =P))

Zack looks around the passenger car. It's well lit, and a few people are already (presumably) starting to warm up to each other. His mask was currently being worn, though he did at first think of taking it off. He then forgets why he was even looking around the car and decides to talk to the two currently beginning a conversation... before it gets too deep. Zack scoots a bit closer.

@Joshua and @Alex

"Oh, thank you so much!" He sat next to Alex, a load of stress gone but some definitely still there. "I don't talk much either... I think. Except when I'm nervous, I babble when I'm nervous," he informed Alex, doing as he said and, well, babbling.

Alex let another small smile cross his face, he noticed another male inch towards them and let the smile grow. “I think we have a stalker,” He whispered in a jolly tone, looking up at Zach. “Want to join the conversation?” He asked, giggling like a small child.

"Sure!" Zack says. His mask conceals most facial features. Who knows why he wears it.

"I'm Zack Borden. What're your names?"

"Joshua Rose," he practically whispered, looking up at Zack before looking back down at floor, then at Alex. Dang. He shouldn't have done that. Now he was convinced the other was cute. He suppressed that thought and instead imagined what the school would be like.

((Oh okay))

((By the way Zack's kinda similar to me in some respects. I'll add some new stuff in the charsheet, brb))

"Hi Joshua! Fine if I call you Josh? I had a friend named Josh," Zack (basically) blurts. ((Sorry about the extreme one-liners. This sequence is basically the Dialogue Chapter... and I don't want Zack to get lost in talking xD))

David walked to a empty box and sat down. "Ok your a wizard who had no experience with anything magic and now I'm going to a school all about it. Well shoot." He whispered to himself. "I still don't know how the currency works... least I managed to get the basic I think..." he took out a notebook and a pencil and started to draw the empty seats in front of him.

Aralin opened the door to the box where David sat and saw a mostly empty area and sat herself down without asking if it was okay. "Thought I wasn't going to find a seat at first. Hi my name is Aralin it's a pleasure to meet you!" She said extending her hand into the boy's personal space and leaning forward with her whole body. She was talking rather loudly and she had still yet to ask if it was okay to sit there.

David looked at Aralin, put away his notebook and shook her hand. "Nice to meet you Aralin I'm David. I'm new to the world of magic and am a 'mud blood' as most would put it I think. Honestly sounds like a insult but I don't know."out of habit he quickly looked at her for any potential weapons.

"Always thought that was a weird way of saying 'awesome', muggle born are the best! I'm a half-blood I guess since my mom was a witch and my dad wasn't." Maggie sat down and looked out of the window of the train. "This is so awesome though don't you think?! My mom didn't talk about Hogwarts much since she didn't know if I would be a wizard. Didn't want me to be excited about something I wouldn't get to experience." Aralin was grinning from ear to ear and practically bouncing in her seat. "Turns out I'm a witch too though I still find it hard to believe."

The train was heaving, as was to be expected, with what must be the whole population of the school on the train at once. The girl sat beside the window was tall and quiet, decently composed, one might say, for someone her age. She held traces of a rebellious streak, her white blond mohawk primped and loosely pulled back into a ponytail that cascaded down her neck and back. It had loose curls which gave her a bit of a flair. Her dark blue eyes watched the world zipping past her window.

Was she excited? Nervous? Cautious? She couldn't really tell. Probably all those things balled up into a tight, scrunched up bundle, and the tension on the strings were straining to let out all the thoughts whizzing around. Being half-blood, her father had given some indication she could be off to Hogwarts this year, and when the letter had arrived, she was ecstatic! However, her father had been somewhat shocked; until the letter had arrived, the girl with the blond hair, known by her friends back in the Muggle world at Elliott Boltset, had never once shown any sort of magical capability at all!!

The girl sighed, and the owl sat upon her shoulder cooed in his own little way. Her slender but strong looking hand reached up to stroke under his chin. His large orange eyes made him look more like a doll than an actual owl, and it was the appeal he'd had when Elliott had spied him in the pet shop at Diagon Alley. That, and he was a wild spirit, like her, and had refused to go into the cramped cage the shop keeper had offered, instead choosing her shoulder for his favourite perch. What could Elliott say! She had a way with beasts and creatures, of magical, and non-magical, persuasion!

"Oh Jeremiah! I am worried, I'll give you that!" She let him step up onto her fingers, and she scrunched her nose at him as he made his strange tooting noise. She listened intently, like she knew what he was saying, though in actuality it was more for her own amusement to pretend she did. "I know, I know. I promised dad I would try! But what if they got it wrong? What if I wave this stick about and nothing happens! Dad said kids my age should have shown some magic by now! I bet all the kids on this train have! And then there is me, talking to a silly little tooting owl!" The saw-whet owl looked indignant, if such a doll-like face could, and he fluffed his feathers. Again, the girl sighed, and returned the owl to her shoulder, and her chin to the heel of her hand as she stared out the window. In her lap, her 'Care Of Magical Creatures' book lay purring in an open position. She had giggled at the looks of sheer horror when she'd pulled it out of her suitcase before it had been loaded.

David took out his notebook and pencil and started to draw again. "Well my gramp got a letter from Hogwarts and got all hype saying how I had some type of 'magic'. Always thought he was talking about my other skills... Anyway wana compare wands?" He took out his wand and waved it around. "Phinox feather and pine. Cool ain't it?"

Aralin took out her own wand and held it gingerly with both hands. "Mine's Beech and Dragon heartstring, when I tried it out I accidentally turned the box into a frog! Thought I had done something wrong but apparently that was a good sign this wand was the one for me." Aralin gave a nervous chuckle and put it away. "I'm still a little afraid of using it to be honest."

Something clicked in his brain, and he looked back at Alex again. "You asked if you could call me Josh and I didn't answer. I'm sorry, yeah, you can call me Josh..." His cheeks flushed a bright pink, embarrassed that he had forgotten. He looked at Zack too, giving a small nod. "You too. Josh is fine to me. If you really want, you can just call me Rose. Some of my friends back at home do that. I mean... I don't really have friends, but my neighbor calls me that."

(That's why I make Josh think a lot and just fidget and look around, it makes the post longer so XD)

Andromeda Malfoy

Andromeda walked up and down the train, staying near the back seeing that was where most of her friend were but she thought to stretch her legs and see what competition she had among the other students traveling to Hogwarts. From what she had seen there wasn't much for her to be wary of. Just a bunch of immature kids too excited about wondering what spells they were going to use instead of looking at the big picture. Unlike most, she already knew what house she would be put in, her whole life already planned out to the very end. There was one cart, in particular, that was rather talkative so she thought to see what all the fuss was about. Most stopped and looked at her, mainly due to her appearance, due to her height she often was mistake for being older than she actually was. Taking a seat she looked out the window as she listened to the others.

Zack nods. "Alright! I betcha you're wondering about my wand/mask, correct?" He scratches the side of his head for a moment.

((that actually looks like 2 lines to me. =P #PortraitTablet))

((Perhaps when we get to Hogwarts I should post a minimum of 3 lines (portrait tablet mode)))
