Founder of Gryffindor

Professor Godric Gryffindor was a wizard of Medieval times and one of the four founders of Hogwarts.

• Came from a place known as Godric's Hollow, a small country in England that would later became the death place of James and Lily Potter.
  
• He was one of the four best wizards and witches of time, along with the three other founders of Hogwarts.
  
• Godric was praised for being courageous, determined, and strong hearted. The same as those whom later get placed in his house.
  
• He was the biggest supporter of allowing Muggle-Borns into the school, which his friend Salazar Slytherin was known for being opposed of.
  
• He was the original owner of the sorting hat. It's said that he took off his own hat and, with the other founders, enchanted it to sort the incoming students into the House.
  
• It's unknown how - or when - he died.
