"Please! I know you guys are magical and stuff, but why do we not have pens?" Rob asked, flustered. "I'm Rob." He offered his hand to Rebecca
"Because Hogwarts likes to stay old fashioned, and does not like getting involved with all that modern day tech nonsense." Jackson replied glancing back briefly at Robert. Scorpius snorted high fiving Jackson underneath their table.

Rob looked at the kid who spoke to him, "all I'm saying is that for 20 pounds we could bring Hogwarts into the 21st century with decent writing utensils."

Rose snuck into her bag and pulled out a fountain pen she passed the pen to Robert under the table and smiled going back to her writing.

Emily growled at Jackson. "Look, you really are getting on my nerves with all of your pouting in our common room." She hissed. "I won't listen to you being rude to anyone, Jackson." She went back to her notes.

Jackson looked at Emily irritated. "What have I done? I was just answering his question, I wasn't trying to be rude." He snapped at her. "Also, Robert," Jackson looked at him for confirmation. "All that 21st century muggle stuff, you're into would completely ruin the beauty of the Wizarding World. The fact that everything seems to be stuck in the 1980's is what makes it so enchanting."

"The 1980s?" Robert raised a brow, "if it were the 1980s I'd still have a pen!" He looked at Rose, "thank you." He wasn't use to a fountain pin, however his notes we immensely less blotchy as he continued to write down notes

Jackson crinkled his nose at the pen in disgust. "If you're going to complain so much about everything, please remember to keep the comments to yourself. No one wants to here about how everything's better in the muggle world." Jackson whispered sharply, before turning back as Professor Winnigan asked them to get our their cauldrons.

Rebecca sighs and shakes head before answering Robert. "Rebecca." She said before going off to get the cauldron for her and Emily to share.

Emily joined Rebecca next to the cauldron, thankful that she got a partner so easily. "I wonder what he's gonna have us make." She flipped through her potions book, reading over the numerous concoctions. "Hmmm. These look complicated."

Robert looked at the girl who had given him the fountain pen, and smiled, "Hi, Im Robert." He held out a hand for her, "Also, are we allowed to be partners? Cause Im not sure what all of the rules are for this place, at my old school we were only allowed to have boy boy groups." He shrugged. (@Allina Auburn)

Alissa sitting in the middle at one of the few tables for Transfiguration, currently reading the book at the moment to see what they will be learning, has a free spot next to her since she's one of the first people who is there because Ravenclaws like to be on time and want to learn, a few minutes later a few other students tickle in. Dante ran to his class super excited and opened the door to see he was not the first one there. His smile faded but came back when he saw a person sitting alone. He went to go sit next to her and he said, "Hi I'm Dante! Who are you?" He had the brightest smile on his face.

Alissa blinks slightly in surprise and looks at him before putting her bookmark in and closing her book. "I'm Alissa, just call me Ali or Allie. We're in the same house, but we haven't actually met or talked." She said with a small smile.

Cassie walked in with James chatting animatedly. It was obvious that things were back to normal, now that the tension of their first day back had faded. "No I told you James, I'm the best Beater on the Gryffindor team. Artemis told me himself." Cassie smiled proudly sitting behind Allie and Dante. "Hey Allie, who's you friend?" James greeted, ignoring Cassie's comment. He was obviously the best Beater on the Gryffindor team.

Dante smiled and sat down next to her. "Ya I wonder how. Have you been avoiding me because I'm a handsome young boy? I know people tell me that all the time. So what are you reading?"

Alissa turns around slightly and smiles a bit. "I'm glad to see you two are talking again. And this is Dante, a fellow Ravenclaw like myself." She said while flicking her hair off her shoulder and laughed slightly at Dante's comment. "Uhm no. I think it might be because I'm usually in the library or outside reading. I was reading our transfiguration textbook."

Dante hated school books. He turned to the new people and said, "Hi I'm Dante! What's your names?" He smiled and held out his hand to the kids to shake. He loved meeting new people.

Cassie cringed at the sight of Alissa flicking her hair. Cassandra had never been a fan of hair flicking, and it always fell into her "Oh my God, can you not?" category. She forced at a smile, shaking Dante's hand. "Hi, I'm Cassie, and this is James." She pointed to the Raven haired boy doodling broomsticks on his notebook with his quill.

Alissa smiles a bit and nods before opening her book again. "Good morning Cassie, James." She said as she focused on the spell she was reading about in her book.

Emily felt completely out of place with everyone in their own conversations. "Okay, so the potion that we're making is what?" She was very eager to learn as she flipped through her book and looked in the cabinet at all of the strange ingredients.

Professor Winnigan wrote in large words on the board. FORGETFULNESS POTION "Now first, add three drops Lethe River Water to your cauldron, and gently heat for 20 seconds." He announced, demonstrating on his own cauldron. "Be careful when dripping the water in the cauldron, because if the tiniest bit gets on you, you will have temporary memory lost."

Emily brandishes her wand and gently taps the cauldron, thus heating up the brew. "Is it supposed to bubble, then?" She wafted the air, inhaling the scent. Her head started spinning, so Olson quickly took her nose away. "Yep, so far so good."
