Luna, a young girl was sitting on her bed, her legs bought up to her chest. Recently she had been put in a mental hospital, it wasn't like she could stay for a few days and leave, this was permanent. She wasn't allowed to leave until they saw she was better. They simply told her that she needed a break, and they were here to make her better. Not like she believed them. So since the day they took her away from her family, they stuck her in a small and plain room by herself.

He's had so many patients lately that he can hardly keep track of all of them. His mind is buzzing when he glances at the new name on his sheet. He hasn't had time to check her medical records, so he has no idea who he's dealing with; whether she's been hospitalized before or has had medication.

He heaves a sigh when he closes his folder. He knocks on the door, tucking his glasses up the bridge of his nose. Then, he opens the entry way and steps inside, closing the door behind him.

He's surprised to find a younger teen, probably seventeen or so. He gestures to the chair, taking a seat beside the bed. "I'm doctor Clarke. I'll be your psychiatrist for the following months."

Luna looks up at the man, he seemed quite handsome but she shook the thought out of her head. She could feel her hands shaking, even though he wasn't going to hurt her. She shifted down the bed, not sure why he was there. She didn't need a psychistrist, whatever that was.

She pulls her legs up to her chest as she examines him, he seemed pretty harmless, not even capable of hurting a fly. She opens her kit un to say something, her no words come out.

"W-Why am I here?" She asks, anxiously.

That's what I'm asking myself, Liam thinks, glancing down to check the medical records tucked inside the folder. He arranges them neatly until he's found the right one. "It says here that you had a panic attack in school," he informs. "Your father was really worried, so he contacted the hospital, yes?" He removes his glasses, placing it on the desk. He runs his fingers through his hair, looking at her again. She seems so fragile and delicate that one touch, and her cracks will fully break. Liam doesn't even think she knows that.

He looks at her shaking hands. He hides a sad smile behind his face, swallows it down his throat. He slowly reaches out for her, aware that she's not in her best condition. Honestly, being forced into a hospital isn't exactly the best thing that can happen. "You can call me Liam," he says gently. "I'm not here to hurt you. I just want to help."

Luna's hands soon stop shaking, he was a doctor so of course he wouldn't hurt her. Doctors make people better. She nods, uncertain. "R-Right...." She mumbles and then looks around the room. She felt as if she was being held prisoner, just for having a panic attack.

She had, had multiple panic attacks before, they seemed to get worse and more daily. She also was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder, and often feared things, like she often heard voices in her head or had terrible thoughts which feared her. She would often collapse, during these attacks.

"I know it seems inappropriate to be cooped up like this." Liam doesn't like the room much, either. There isn't any space to breathe. The windows are closed, and the curtains are drawn. Mentally disordered people don't need the cold to keep them warm. They already have enough of their own. "But I assure you: this will be over soon."

He rests his hand gently on her knee. "And I'm here to help with that." Anxiety can't be cured by doctors, not even medication. That comes from the people themselves. Right now, Liam only hopes Luna can survive.

Luna, over her first day at the mental hospital seemed to be running smoothly. She tries to calm herself down and she succeeds, she sat through meals with everyone else and tries to settle in, doing all of the daily activities she had to do. Everything was going well until she went to bed. She often had panic attacks when she went to sleep. The moment she closed her eyes, the same dream she had been having since she first got anxiety and these panic attacks started up again.

The dream seemed so fragile, perhaps towards others, though it had a massive impact on her. She often dreamt of being high up, and then falling to her death, she had a massive fear for heights. Each night she had the dream, the height got bigger, from a tiny diving board to a massive skyscraper. She began screaming, as she always did.

The thing about being a psychiatrist in a mental hospital, is that it's his duty to take care of his patients, even when he's supposed to sleep. That's why he immediately rushes to Luna's room, taking in long strides as he nears the hallway. He opens the room gently, hoping that won't pull her further into a state of panic.

He slowly walks toward her bed, giving her enough. He shakes her shoulders gently, willing for her to wake up. "Luna," he says. "I'm here. I'm here."

Luna's eyes instantly snapped open. She was still screaming until she calmed down after a few minutes, clinging onto Liam for support--She actually felt like she was falling. She could feel herself becoming dizzy, the room spinning around. She shook her head violently and the room went back to not spinning around. She gave a sigh of relief.

He caresses her hair, slinging it behind her shoulders. His hand is slowly rubbing the length of her spine, checking to see if her breathing is even. He doesn't mind the fact that Luna's holding on to him, clutching his shirt firmly to stay grounded, but it does make his heart skip a beat. "You're fine," he says. "I'm here." He pries himself away from her to grab her a glass of water. He presses the edge of the glass against her lips. "It'll help you sleep better."

Luna takes hold of the glass of ester and takes a few sips. The cold water felt refreshing and seemed to calm her down. She put the water aside and curled up in bed, she was shivering in fear. She knew she would keep on having the dream, but how could she stop it? She hugs her pillow close.

Liam observes her for a few seconds, trying to understand what's wrong. He can ask her about the dream, but she's still pretty shaken up. Her blond hair is strewn carelessly over her shoulders. Beads of sweat are trickling down her face like ice water. Liam shoulders the blanket around her, making sure that she's comfortable. He gets a handkerchief from her drawer and wipes it gently around her face. "Do you want me to stay here, or will you be okay?" He continues to pamper her, getting rid of the sweat on her neck.

Luna was still clinging to the pillow as she looks up at him. Her eyes were widened with fear, and were also clouded and desperate. "P-Pleas stay" She said, stumbling over her words. She was worried that the moment she fell asleep she would be falling again, screaming until someone came to her. With him there she felt some kind of protection and guidance.

Liam thinks about it for a moment. If he stays with Luna, then the girl will safer, even though his presence isn't exactly what's comforting her. If he doesn't, she'll keep screaming all night - and he really needs to sleep. Plus, she needs the company. He can feel her skin shaking underneath the fabric. "Okay," he sighs. "I'll stay." He sits down on the bed, brushing the strands of hair away from her face. As the moon sinks into the curtains, her dark reflection shows. He hasn't realised how beautiful she is until now.
