Welcome to RPNation! Glad to see more people here who started with D&D, I myself started in 2005 with version 3.5 (yes, I'm old). I'm sure you will be able to find many people who would be happy to roleplay with you here, I myself would more then happy to in the future.

I hope you don't mind if I ask you a question: what first got you into playing D&D?

Well I’ve always been interested in D&D when I was young, but I wasn’t old enough and didn’t have the friends/time to play any real games. High school rolled around and I joined the D&D club which really opened my eyes to how great this game can be.

I see, glad you were real interested in D&D to begin with. As you might have told by my signature, I also started with D&D with version 3.5. However, I had some friends who played it in primary as a after school activity. D&D is only limited by your own imagination, if you have a huge imagination then you're all set to be anything you want to be in it.
