So someone recommended me to use this site (dunno what their username is here though). Hello all, nice to meet you!

Never used this site before (I think), just getting used to it, but that's alright. I RP at another place as well.

Some things to know about me:

I'm kinda unpredictable. Honestly. If you ask me to describe myself I can't really do it because it's so random sometimes.

I prefer fantasy, but only slight fantasy. No idea what that genre is. If it involves elves and dragons and princesses in castles, that's not really my thing. Sci-fi, more or less.

I can be somewhat of a perfectionist. Seriously. Sometimes I spend hours looking at things and wondering, "is it alright to say this? Should I say this?"

My motto is "let things go wrong", so if you ever have a character and we're in the same RP you're free to test out all those terrible things on them.

That's all. Hope we all see each other somewhere else other than this thread :3
 
Welcome! I'm new as well! I think I'm kind of random as well and it is good thing. It will make stories more interesting. They told me I have to write ten posts before I can get started. I find that hard, but I cant wait!!

Hmm... Is there a FaQ page I can visit or some walkthough as to how I should navigate around RP nation?
 
I am not aware of a FAQ page, however, there is a Site Questions and Information forum under the community heading that may be useful to you. If that doesn't help, I can give you a brief rundown of how the site works.

Looking for players Section
The looking for players section on the front page has two forums in it, Looking for Partners and Looking for Groups. Typically people post in these forums when they have ideas for 1x1 roleplays (Looking for partners), or when they are recruiting for their group roleplay (Looking for group). The Group Roleplay section is separated by interest checks (Fandom, Futuristic, fantasy.. etc.) so you don't have to look at ideas you probably wouldn't like to start with. This isn't a bad place to start, since the people who post here are likely willing to accept most applicants or people with interest.

Roleplays
The roleplays section is separated nicely by genre. You can search these forums for existing roleplays that might interest you. Each roleplay is a different thread, most developed roleplays will have rules posted about joining so you know whether they're still accepting and what you need to do to join. Do not post in an existing roleplay before messaging the creator. Although some roleplays may not mention needing to check in with the creator or thread manager before posting, it is very important that you PM the person in charge before doing so.

Hosted Projects
Hosted projects are usually large scale roleplays with intense lore that require more than a simple thread format. These are currently undergoing some transformation due to the site transfer we just did, but generally these are complex and involve extensive lore, multiple chapters or story lines running at once, and other things that generally require more organization.

Well, I guess I'll wait until something that seems interesting shows up. I don't have all the time in the world so I'll have to be sure I want to join when I do.
