First journal entry
Meeting my best friend through rpn~
Seeing as I have recently discovered this part of the site, I decided to try it, basically to record my life since making a diary/journal is too much of a drag for me to constantly do it.
Anyway I find that making introductions to journal entries always seems to be the hardest prat of writing an entry, or at least, for me it is, so after thinking about it for a while i shall begin with the story of how I met my best friend, on this very site!
Alright, so to give you some context go a few months back to april of this year, I had just been given my new computer, a mac, which I had been yearning for since the beginning of 2013 thanks to a certain little cousin of mine who broke my previous computer and refused to cough up any cash to fix it and the moment I received it as a present from my brother, I knew what the first thing I was going to do in it, look for a role-play site.
I'd actually never role-played before, unless you count pretending to be a pokemon with your friends in recess although I did know of the term role-plays, and what the concept around them was. So by a quick google search I stumbled onto this site, made an account and began my rp adventure!
From here on out i'll be talking about my first days here on rpn and finally ending with some little paragraphs about my best friend.
I didn't meet my bestie right away though, instead I stumbled onto the 1x1 part of the forums and soon joined one, the person who had made this thread was new as well so it was pretty cool how we both leant the mechanics of things together, however our rp didn't last very long as messages soon stopped coming from her end, and so I decided to move on to my next rp.
Now this rp was the one where I met my current best friend, which we'll call Tiana. Now this was April eight (or so according to our first rp together and the first messages we sent each other) and I was looking on the new posts section of the site, where my eye happened to catch a rp name which struck happiness, this particular rp was based around Ib, an rpg maker game, I was very well acquainted with the game, having played it myself a few times, so seeing as there was no replays to the thread I jumped in and sure enough, nobody had responded, which was odd since the thread had been posted a week ago; so following what at the time I did to enter an rp, I messaged Tiana and asked her for permission to join, a few minutes later and I get a reply, Tiana was very grateful and happy that I had decided to join her rp and we soon began planning it out and starting the role-play.
As we further took the rp, we continued to message each other, and it turned out we had a lot of things in common, including our love for video games, youtube channels and old tv shows which are now canceled ...Teen titans... we began to greatly trust each other, to the point of giving ourselves our Facebook names (which was a very risky move on both our parts) now being friends on fb we messaged each other all day, we talked talking, posted in rps or simply played some video games together, since then seven moths have passed and we have been through a lot of things together, fights and all, and even though there is a great distance separating us, we both have hopes that we can one day meet face to face and continue to be best friends until we grow old like prunes.
