No problem and let me know if there’s anything else that might need explaining because there’s anything I love to do, it’s prattling on about my silly alchemy show! lol and I was actually in the same boat in regards to Brotherhood/2003 until a few months ago when on a whim I ended up just completely rewatching 03 which made me fall in love with it all over again sdhbfhsfbd and of course one of the best things about the show is really getting to examine what makes Ed as a character tick, so examining his character really is my bread and butter. Like damn bro that boy really is a walking garbage fire of emotional trauma you just can’t look away from lmao

Oh man the discussion about 2003 ed is making me want to finish the anime at some point sobs. I watched brotherhood first, and got halfway through 2003 but got busy with college. the differences between the two are really fascinating. even though theres some things I prefer in brotherhood (ex: characterization of greed and kimblee), the origins of the homunculi in 2003 is just so good, especially with sloth and wrath.

I agree I prefer Brotherhood Kimblee he has more depth than his 2003 counterpart.

(Joining the rp was actually my secret plan to convert everyone to 2003 all along shhh ) But omg yes I’ll always encourage people to give 2003 a watch! although unfortunately since it’s not currently on streaming services, you’d have to sail the seven seas sbdbfh and to save everyone the 5000000 word essay I could write about why I love 03 so much, I won’t go super in depth but gosh I just gotta say I think your experience with Fullmetal Alchemist as a franchise overall becomes so much richer when you’ve experienced both manga/brotherhood and the 2003 anime in their entirety dbdgbdg even if I do prefer 2003 by a lot
