A flash of green, then darkness. Thus happened to all of Jake's victums. He would harness his power, then look into the persons mind, stealing their thoughts, their memories.
But not today. Oh no, no powers today, he was far to budy. You see, he had only just become evil. And the only reason was his best friend had fallen out with him, and she had joined good. He wanted revenge...
Lucitiel sighed, handing the letter to the figure. A messenger- mediator of sorts, between good and evil. But he only spoke when needed to. He took Lucitiel's letter, placing it securely in his cloak.
"I shall deliver it at once." He said, disappearing without another word. Luci trusted the letter to be delivered to Jake without conflict, for she wasnt that brave to do it herself yet. Things haven't exactly been friendly between the two- especially after their falling out. Maybe a letter was the best approach.
Jake took his sparkling green cloak of the coat hook, and slung it around his shoulders. He held out his hand, and closed is eyes, picturing his bag in his head. All of a sudden, the bag came flying towards him. Ah, the joys of telekinesis. Sighing, he turned around and walked out the door, with his bag floating next to him. Luckily, there was no passers-by, meaning nobody saw this strange sight. Looking around, he started to walk down the road towards the town hall - he had some business he had to do there.
One he arrived at the town hall, he grabbed his bag and out it on his shoulder. He stepped into the hall, unaware of what was to come...
The cloaked messenger arrived at the town hall, scanning the area for the person Lucitiel described. Once he found him, the messenger made his presence known. "A letter for you." He muttered, handing it over to Jake. He had no idea what the contents revealed, but judging by Luci's haste, it must have been important.
Dear Jake
I know things aren't the same anymore but, I'm willing to change that if you're.
Jake was confused when a man came up to him and handing him a letter. Nobody ever sent him letters, because he was the 'bad guy'. Still, it must have been important. The villain thanked the man, and opened the letter, reading the contents in his head. It read:
Dear Jake
I know things aren't the same anymore but, I'm willing to change that if you're.
Meet me at the meadows tonight. Come alone.
Luci
"Luci?! Sh-sh-she wants t-to meet me?!" Jake was obviously confused. Even more confused than few seconds ago. His enemy wanted to meet him? In the meadows? This was just too strange.
Luci made sure her hair was tucked back behind her cloak. She didn't want to gain any unwanted attention. As a precaution, she hid her broadsword in her cloak. Her powers could wait, she didn't exactly enjoy using them either way. When the sun was slowly disappearing from the horizon, Luci made her way quietly to the meadows she remembered so much from her past. Jake and her used to always play there... it would be a good place to catch up, surely. There was a lot that needed to be said in person.
Luci sat at one of the benches in the meadow. The breeze felt nice and she exhaled for a moment. A couple moments ago, there was a girl running around with her brother, playing tag and games alike. They had left with their parents, leaving Luci to her thoughts as she waited.
Luci averted her attention to the sound of distant footsteps. The moonlight had glistening onto the pair, and Luci whispered, "Been a while, hasn't it?" She didn't look at him but knew he was there.
"How have you been?" Luci asked, genuinely concerned. She didn't want to start a fight, just talk like two civil people who just happen to beilive in different things.
"That's good to hear." Luci said, finally looking over at him. He had changed a lot. But she would always see him as a little boy with a big heart. "I'm alright. I've asked you here because I wanted to know what your plans are for the upcoming war. It's inevitable...you and I both know that." She got straight to the point, standing up to face him confidentally. "I don't want to face you as an enemy anymore."
Peace? What is this girl thinking? he asked himself. "I-I can't just-" He stopped. Could he? No, surely not. He was on his way down the road to becoming thw worlds most evil villain. Making peace with a superhero... That just wouldn't work. "-I can't just 'make peace'."
