Zeus
Brickred Street - Warehouse
Zeus had to admit, teamwork could be great. Until a loud, whiny, pain in the freaking butt started screaming and then turned all that sweetness, vile. "What the heck is making that noise?!" He winced under the sound. It wasn't killing him but it was annoying. Who left their kid here in a place like this and why was this kid crying?
Was it a hero? "God what kind of ability did he get, 'how to be an A-class baby?" Because if his screaming was to go by anything, he'd earned it.
Zeus turned his attention back towards the body that now lay a yard or so away. He gave Tornado one long, silent unreadable stare that the hero probably couldn't see anymore then turned his attention to the lioness and her fight, before turning his attention to Saint. He gave him a thumbs up and Saint returned it with a dismissive wave.
Both turned their attention to Worm when their drift in air and atmospheric pressure changed with everything his wormhole sucked in.
"Damn..." Zeus hissed. There was no way he'd be going anywhere near that guy. One wrong move and he'd be pulled in and nothing could save him then. A cursory glance Retsu's way said she was handling herself fine so Zeus turned to start heading for Saint to discuss their options. Leave or fight.
It wasn't until his eyes caught up on a-- "Whoa", he did a double take. Who's this fox? The young adult blinked once then twice as he tried to get a good grasp at the fine masked female approaching his companion. For a good few seconds, Zeus completely forgot about the potential danger his friend was in when he saw the misses...ahem, proportions, but like any well deserved slap- reality came kicking and Zeus snapped out of his slightly lustful daze.
He signaled Saint with a sign that someone was behind him. A few seconds of silence and Saint signaled back.
Sweet.... He glanced at Retsu, all done with her job. ..... He glanced back at the chick closing in on Saint. I wonder if I can get both their numbers?...or maybe I should just stick with Retsu.
It was a thought he'd have to finish later. Because apparently, incoming debris from an annoying wormhole was coming his way.

Saint
Brickred Street - Warehouse
Still on the ground from his rolling, knee baseball pitch, Saint used the leg he'd been bracing himself with to help him lift with his downed leg pushing him up. As he turned, he noticed changes. First, and the most obvious were footsteps. Second was the tantalizing sweetness of syrup.
It puzzled him, but as he gave the girl a glance with the shift of his turn he noted her brief emergence from before everything went to hell and knowing she ]u]wasn't[/u] a hero, set him on guard and not on kill.
Muscles no longer as tense as they were before, Saint stood and fully turned in one smooth circular motion. A motion that led him to take a step forward right towards the approaching female and before she could even get a word in, he was already asking her what her purpose was.
"What do you want?" The synthetic hollow voice made it hard to tell if he was actually annoyed, angry, grumpy, or just sounded like that because of the modulator but whatever the case, Saint clearly wasn't paying her too much attention, or any at all. His inflaming sockets only gave her a second to stare at before he completely turned his attention back to Capt. Wormhole in the distance then cocked his neck to the right to alleviate a few pops of satisfaction.
For a brief second he did glance back at her though. Stared at her really well for a few seconds longer than when he'd just rudely glanced at her. Unable to discern where the damned smell of waffles, sugar, and the faint scent of syrup was coming from on this woman Saint turned his attention back to Capt. waiting for her to say whatever she needed and be gone.

Animus
Pier 35 - Brickred Street
Despite the door opening, if Zeke looked back or waited long enough, he'd notice there was no form of movement happening. No "Thanks for saving my life" from the stranger. No rushing out or sounds of shuffling to move and get out. There was just the sound of Zeke's ride running. And the steady sound of calm light breathing.
Waiting would've taken awhile since Desmond wouldn't have been able to respond, besides neither one of them had the time. Looking back would've given the mechanic his answer. The kid was asleep, vines of twister black hair falling over his face and guarding him in his sleep. Desmond had passed out like a kid. Tuckered out from his second most heart racing activity tonight and had fallen asleep from exhaustion. On the outside, that's what it looked like.
Below, his powers had triggered in response to his distress.
Fainting wasn't always a huge problem, especially for a child. To Zeke, maybe this kid was just in the wrong neighborhood at the wrong time. But Desmond wasn't a normal kid. At least not anymore. A child fainting probably meant nothing. Panic attacks to an em-path, was a whole other story. To Desmond, this was all just a trip down memory lane. Memories he'd done well in the past three years to keep locked away, were slowly rushing back.
Helpless, weak, and being chased by things or people. He didn't like this situation.
So his powers activated to see that the situation itself was handled.
In accordance to that demand, Desmond slept. 'Slept' in the sense that he wasn't truly asleep. It was like sleep paralysis. His mind was awake, his body wasn't. But he could see, hear, feel, and sense everything twenty times that of a normal human all while he lay down on the back of Zeke's couch.
Watching his body below him, Animus expanded his will and it gurgled out, covering his physical body in a layer of invisible space dust. If Zeke tried to harm him, that invisible space dust would harden his skin to prevent damage or expand into a cushion that would absorb shock and damage. And if he tried to hurt him? Desmond, unable to move couldn't shrug, but Animus could so he did.
Who knows? Could be anyone's guess.
