"Oh this looks safe... and fun..." Alex said with a frown, hesitantly standing onto the chair.

He took a moment of looking at the noose before slowly inserting his head into it.

Ruby smirked. "Don't worry. This usually works. More like half the time, actually." With that, she quickly swiped away the chair, leaving the man dangling the rope. The rope then broke and Alex fell to the floor, disappearing, leaving only the coil of rope. He'd notice that he had been transported to a barstool.

Alex grinned, teleportation it seemed...

"Oh you call that a trick? I could do better with my hands tied!" Alex challenged.

Blake had watched the show silently up until now. Blake looked to Alex angrily. "Hey, give her a break. She did better than any magician I've ever seen. If you don't like the show, go home."

The audience gasped and turned to look at Alex, seeing he was not on the stage. Ruby crossed her arms. "Is that so?" She said with a smirk, looking at Alex.

Alex waved the man of, he appeared not to know a thing about show biz, crowds love excitement, what better excitement them a duel of magicians?

"Yea, care to try me on that challenge?" He replied to Ruby, stepping up.

Moon interjected "One's hands being bound has nothing to do with the arcane state. While I prefer to keep away from nooses, Ms. Mayze is one of the more skilled practitioners of her craft." Moon turned to Ruby "Would you care to continue?" At Alex's proposition of a challenge, Moon smiled "Perhaps that would be adequate to determine each other's skill."

Ruby smirked. She tossed the noose to him. "Tie yourself up." She said with a smile.
Alex smirked at Moon as he climbed atop the stage and tied himself up, "Any requests?" He asked Ruby.

She smirked. "How about you do the same thing I did to you, but this time I'm being hanged." She said with a smirk.

"Oh but a magician never copies! But I can do something with a similar set up, go ahead and get your noose and your chair." Alex replied.

Ruby grinned and stood on the chair. She clapped and a noose fell from the ceiling. She poked her head in the noose.

Udyr had watched this annoying man for long enough. If he did one more thing Udyr would show punishment. He stood up ready to save Ruby at a moments notice. He crossed his arms and growled in a low voice.

"Perfect... Now...RELAX!" Alex shouted kicking the air so that Ruby...

Floated. As the chair fell Ruby didn't drop a centimeter, "Viola!" Alex shouted.

Ruby smirked. "Not bad." She said, placing a hand on the noose. With a few whispered words, the noose quickly turned to a snake. "Of course, I am a professional magician." She said smiling.

"Well I wouldn't say I'm a professional... more like an amateur, but I know a few things..." Alex replied, letting her float to the floor.

Ruby smiled as her feet hit the floor. "Good job, amateur." She said with a smirk. The snake slithered down her arm.

"You know, one doesn't become a professional without someone to teach them, looking for an apprentice maybe?" Alex asked.

Ruby crossed her arms. "After what a jerk you've been to me tonight? I don't think so...how much do you pay?" She asked, glaring.

"Hey, I was just messing around. But how about five hundred a week...?" Alex asked.

Ruby blinked. "Hmmm....with my job....the team I joined...." She thought. "I might not have the time is the problem....." She said with a frown.

Iyzebel hadn't seen Alex all day, and getting bored she set out to find him. Though it wasn't hard, he often frequented this one bar so she headed there first.

"I could tag along, learn a few things there as well?" Alex suggested.

Ruby looked at him. "Tag along? I don't think you'd learn much from watching a bartender." She said with a smirk. She turned to the audience. "Sadly, I believe this is the end of our show."

Iyzebel walked in the bar, not taking long to spot Alex up on the stage. Staying back for the moment, curious as to what was happening.
