The (Not So) Evil Mastermind
A group of teens summoned (taken, kidnapped, whatever) when a hole opens in the sky and sucked them in (them, instead of someone else!), transporting them to the Land of Magic. The teens landed on top of each other on a ritual altar, surrounded by many mages wearing a white robe and several important looking figures. The Princess of the Land, the daughter of the True King, come forward as she introduced herself and approached the teens. "Oh, Prophecied Heroes, please save the world!" she pleaded.
To which all, if not most, of the teens replied with: "No, thank you."
They are angry with the fact that they are transported without a warning, forced to fight in a life and death situation for what they see as a selfish reason. Many of the teens grabbed their previously prepared equipment and supply, made to fit the teens still growing body and their Hero Power by unknown means, and then left the ritual altar with no clear destination but to escape from the duty that awaits them.
Even with the few who decided to stay and help out, there is nothing much these reluctant heroes can do but continuously fighting a defensive battle and repelling the never ending invasion launched by the demonic army. The only way humanity can win this is that having the Heroes all united as one then launched a grand counterattack inside the demon's territory.
The Heroes decided to split their small force into two. One who will defend the line, and one who will search for the Backturner and convince them to change their mind-- since the only way they are allowed to return back to their world is by killing the Demon Lord, anyway.
