Deep in a subterranean dungeon a dragon lies. This dragon guards a fare maiden. Luckily, a band of brave adventurers have come to save the maiden. Having just met in a tavern 20 minutes ago, they now wander the dungeon in search of the dragon, facing deadly perils along the way.

"Ugh! All these passages look the same!" Gray complained as the party walked through the first dungeon. It was all so frustrating. They could be walking in circles for all he knew. And they had faced five random encounters thus far. If it wasn't for Ace they'd all be dead.

Gray Masters was the Chosen Hero. That's what he told himself everyday in the mirror to keep himself going. And he knew that he could do it. He could save the world, one quest at a time. He just hoped he didn't die before he got there. There was no respawn and the random encounters were tough. Maybe he should have gained more levels first.

"They haven't looked the same," Reverie said suddenly.

Anyone, literally anyone in the party could wholly comfirm that Reverie had been sleepwalking a second ago. In fact Reverie had slept through most of the last five encounters, waking up once or twice through each. Reverie was going to try a bit harder to stay awak- 'Yawn'. Okay that might be harder than she thought. Oh well. She looked at Gray.

"There has been a few minor differences." Reverie yawned. "Like that bush we passed, a few scratch marks on the wall a way back, a few shiny stones."

Huh. So the developers hadn't cheaped out after all. Though the minor differences were hardly different. It was still impossible to tell where they were going. Shouldn't they have discovered a hidden chest with a map in it or something by now.

Gray scanned the hall as he moved, looking for any sign of an opening into a room or something but it was fruitless. It was hard to see anything because it was dark and everything looked the same.

In robes of white, wielding a magical staff, and a netural yet expressionless face. "Perhaps its the design of the entire dungeon itself. To confuse those who wander inside for riches I may think." Ace throws his theory in a friendly manner though in reality what he's really thinking No shite they look the same! We're in a dungeon, full of traps, monsters, and fools who get themselves killed! Good thing I'm here to save your arse. There are no gods to save you, Only me.

"This place has looked the same to me." Gargi says this, his face having been stuffed into a tankard since they entered the dungeon. Taking the mug away from hs face to refill Gargi notices blood on the mace that he has been dragging around behind him "Wait, did I kill something?" Not waiting for an answer he refills his tankard and shoves his face back into it.

"What's the point of confusing us if there's nothing to kill us besides random encounters." Gray said. "Are we expected to starve to death?" That would be an underwhelming death. Though it was probably better than being ripped apart by bugbears. Except it was slower.

"Growr!" something growred. Up ahead. It was an ogre and five goblins in a circular room. And at least one of the goblins was brandishing something red. Oh how wonderful. Gray drew his sword.

"Random encounter!"

Hearing the "Chosen One" yell, Gargi takes the tankard away from his face and looks at the opposition ahead of them. Waddling faster to get near the front of the group he looks to his leader "You want me to handle the main monster or the adds?"

Upon hearing Random encounter, Ace took his position at the back of the party and looks out for anything that would flank them from behind,"Go get them Gray. I'll watch our backs and heal whenever you need it." Ace readies themselves with their staff at hand. But don't die on me, I hate reviving people. And DO NOT bring those lil shites to my area or your not getting any healing from me. Ace thoughts emerged as he watches the rear and the back.

Reverie had fallen asleep sometime in the last few minutes right before the goblins appeared. Probably being still the slightest bit awake she mumbled something about not waking up completely this battle, somehow drew her dagger and began to snore.

For someone who's main strategy was finding aiming for the easiest weak point within the calcium based protector of one of the most vital yet easily disrupted organs (meaning shooting people in their brains through their eye sockets) she wielded a dagger pretty well. Which was plainly shown when a goblin lunged towards her.

Still snoring she dodged the goblin's first attack and slashed at it. After that one good dodge the goblin managed to get in a slash startling Reverie awake.

"Oh oops....." Reverie said stepping back and looking at her wound. "Ummmmmmmm Ace?"

Gray ran at a goblin and slashed it with his father's sword. That cut it's hp by half. He was about to take another strike when a fireball whizzed by him. He turned and saw a Goblin holding a red stick carved with flames.

"Woah! That one has a fire wand!" He shouted, dodging another fireball. He ran at the goblin and completely forgot about the goblin behind him, which stabbed it's knife into his back. That barely did any damage but it annoyed Gray that he'd been caught off guard by such a stupidly simple trick. "Oh Come on!" He turned around and lopped the goblin's head off in one slice. "Stupid starter monsters." He muttered.

Ace's eyes shift to Reverie as she look at him. Knowing what she wanted, Ace points his staff her Reverie and casts Cure. A minted glow covers the sleepy archer as her wound closes up. "Focus a bit Reve, I know your sleepy but I do ask that you don't have those goblins cut your throat out" Ace advises as he puts his staff next to him after the spell done it's job. I swear, if you get killed because your sleepy. I'm going to cast Esuna on your arse so you can never experience a good rest ever again. Oh ya, Protect is down. Time to reapply it...Again. Ace thought to himself as he raises his staff and casted Protect on the whole party. A blue transparent glow surrounded the party. With this spell, it raises the defense of the party and lowers the damage they would receive. Great spell with a long duration, though doesn't mean one anyone is invincible with this.

Gargi watches Gray run into the fray caution to the wind "Oh so the usual plan" Finishing his drink Gragi stares at the ogre "Oh its gonna be fun crushing your skull" Gragi takes his hammer into both hands then notices a blue hue around himself, waving to the white mage "Thanks Ace you get a pint for free!" Giving the ogre a once over before charging Gargi notices it had a giant club "You probably do a lot of damage, better buff myself" Tightening the grip on his hammer Gargi stomps on the ground and roars, his skin begins to take on a dark metallic sheen and his eyes light up like the embers of a forge and he charges the Ogre swinging his hammer wildly.

Ace sees Gray getting stab before the protect went up. God damn it Gray! Ace thought to himself as he cast Cure on gray with the same minted glow healing his stab wound on his back. How come armor is not working as intended! Ace thinks to himself as he rants about how armor suppose to work making his angry face. His angry expression unlike others look like he's grinning but in truth, he is pretty upset, but Ace's answer to if someone ask, "This is fine"

"Sorry Ace!" Reverie said putting away her dagger "I try but-"

Reverie stifled a yawn. She sighed and then took out her quiver hitting the bokobli- I mean goblin on the head. Reverie aimed a single arrow at the goblin who had attacked her hitting it in the heart. She then took her place back near Ace where she probably should of been considering her weapon of choice. Her eye began to glow as she activated a simple aiming spell and pointed her very pretty arrows at the Ogre.

"That would have healed naturally!" Gray called to Ace as goblin weapons clanged off of the protect. "Not that I'm not grateful but you should save your spells for more serious wounds, like the ones Gargi is probably gonna get within the next couple of minutes!"

This was actually the best random encounter they'd run into. The last one had been a manticore and a minotaur teaming up. This was cake compared to that.

"One shouldn't underestimate a small wound that can fester with disease and poisons at any given time Gray. Besides the heal I casted on you was way weaker and didn't cost that much mana." Ace shrugs as he observe the fight and staying vigilante to any ambushes from the back of the party. That one Goblin has a fire wand. That could be troublesome yet also a great target for Reve to hit. If we take out the goblins first, will be big game to us. Ace thinks to himself and turns to Reverie as she aims he arrow at the Ogre," Reve if you able, can you take out the goblin with the fire wand? That should help out Gray and Gar. Unless they take them out and you can focus on the Ogre." Ace ask Reverie as he watch back at the fight preparing for any quick heals the two front liners will need.

"Good idea Ace. Trying to hit the Ogre is too dangerous. I'd rather not kill anyone on accident."

Reverie switched targets to the goblin with a fire wand. She shot an arrow at the goblin, but it simply burnt the projectile with a fireball. She half sighed and half yawned firing two more arrows at the goblin, one once again getting burned up and the other hitting the goblin in the head.

Yelling dwarfish curses Gargi and the Ogre exchange blows, really it's just the ogre hitting Gargi and Gargi screaming but at least the Ogre's attention isn't on the party. The mixture of Ace's protective spell and Gargi's dwarvern toughness are keeping him relatively healthy but he hasn't actually touched the ogre yet.

There was... two? Yes two goblins left. Reverie shot one in the head, making very sure not to hit, or graze Gray or Gargi. Now only two left.

"Just a few enemies left, Mind if I leave them to the two of you?" Reverie said before falling asleep, no doubt in her mind everything would end fine regardless of whether she was awake or not. And who knows? Maybe it might actually end fine.

Looking back at the dwindling number of enemies Gargi answers Reverie "All right I'll finish this up" choking up on his hammer Gargi prepares for a big swing. The ogre takes advantage of the opening Gargi left to slam his club into Gargi's face, an sickeningly audible WHACK is heard but Gargi doesn't move the mixture of defensive buffs leaves Gargi with nothing but a cracked tooth, he looks towards the ogre with a grin "I'll give you that, but allow me return the favor'. Heaving the massive weight of his hammer Gargi brings it into the large ogres knee breaking it and forcing him down, keeping with the momentum Gargi does a a full 360 to smash the head of the hammer in the skull of the massive ogre, crushing it. Admiring his work Gargi sits on the corpse of the ogre and pulls out his tankard and takes a swig from it, the ale seeping through the crack in his tooth hits a nerve ending "Rukhsul menu!" he yells in anger looking towards the ogre he was sitting on "This is you fault" and he slams his fist into the already crushed head. Looking towards his party with annoyance "Alright my moods ruined, Gray finish this up will ya!?"

Saw that coming

"I'm on it!" Gray shouted. He saw Gargi being whacked. Luckily he only had a chipped tooth. No time to think about that, though. Gray was busy dodging the fireball goblin. Luckily the goblin was kind of bad at aiming. Three quick slashes and the Goblin was dead. Gray sheathed his sword and dusted off his hands.

We finished this fight nicely. Minor cuts healed and cracked tooth. Not bad at all for starters. Might as well give the Drunk a small heal to his cracked tooth. Ace leans his staff slightly to Gargi and using less mana on his healing spell. A minted glow illuminated Gargi's cracked tooth and bring back to it's normal self. "There you go. Free out of charge." Ace said giving a thumbs up to the party," So do any of these goblins or the Ogre having anything on them?" Ace asked while looking at the corpses of the monsters they have slain.

Gray checked the drop list. Not really much. There was 80 gold that would need to be divided among the party. A potion of healing or two. And that one goblin's fire wand.

"Anyone here want a firewand?" Gray asked. He then looked at the party. "Scratch that. Anyone here know how to use a fire wand witjout killing us all?"
