introduction.
Greetings and salutations! My name is Hermes, and I'm on the hunt for a long-term roleplay partner. What might I have to offer to get you to consider me? Well, I'm glad you asked because I have a list of (not so) enticing pros and benefits:
1. An adaptable partner. My writing style ranges from semi-lit to novella, but I more than usually simply adapt to the style of the person I'm with. Therefore, whether you're into flexing your verbose muscle or if you prefer a more straight to the point style, we can find a way to get along.
2. Open to both planning and suprises. I love to build worlds with my partners and to plan the direction we're hoping the story to head in, but I am equally open to sprinkling in as little pre-planned material as possible and simply surprising one another with every reply. Plot gardeners and architects are both equally appreciated in this household.
3. A chatterbox. Perhaps this might be a negative to some, but I love OOC coversation! I love to discuss characters and send memes and music, but I also love to get to know the person I'm roleplaying with. It means a lot to me to be friends with my roleplay partner, so tell me about your day and all the silly details of your life! I'm not just invested in the plot, I'm invested in you.
4. Often online. I am busy with university work and life sometimes, but I can manage to squeeze out a reply on a daily basis. Outside of roleplay responses, I'm always there for a good chat too.
5. Ghost friendly. You have a life, I have life, we all have a life. I don't want my partner to feel like they're doing a chore by replying to me, nor do I want anyone to feel like they have to reply daily or ASAP to anything I might send. Would I appreciate it if you gave me a heads up if you were bored with the roleplay or simply needed to dip for a while? Of course, but I also understand that sometimes circumstance might not make that possible. If it makes you feel any better, I'm forgetful enough that I probably won't notice you ghosting for a good couple of weeks.
6. No character sheet needed. I prefer getting to know characters through description, and I've always found character sheets to be a bit of a hassle in all honesty. So, if character sheets ever deterred you, rest assured!
7. Open to exploring! I love trying out new plots and ideas; especially if my partner is passionate about it. So, even if none of the plots here catch your attention, hit me up! We might still be able to make something we both enjoy.
If any of this sounds like a fun time to you, don't hesitate to PM me or reach me by the linked discord (the latter being preferable).

genres
low fantasy
craving
Witches, vampires, fae, and all matters of magic and the magical all within the confines of a familiar world. Whether the supernatural is the norm or a hidden secret within this alternate world of ours, I would love to explore the fantastical with you and create our own unique lore.
court intrigue
craving
Welcome to the high stakes game of kings and queens where betrayal hides beneath shining ballrooms and love is a dangerous vulnerability. Forbidden relations across class divide, greedy motivations hidden behind the mask of affection, and plotting for murder and power are only a few ways we can take this journey.
uni dramatics
If you prefer modern realism, then this one is for you! A plot following university aged OCs in their struggles to find love and juggle the hardships of young adulthood would be lovely. Whether it's tooth-aching fluff or angst filled hurt/comfort, I'm down for it.
Heroes & Villains
They say opposites attract, but how about when they're at each other's throats? For this sort of plot I'd imagine something along the lines of the Fallen Hero games (highly recommend it if you're unfamiliar), so something revolving around hidden identities and a larger plot that brings the characters together perhaps?
Fandom
Currently the only fandom that I would be into roleplaying would be Harry Potter. I don't mind OCxOC, but in the case of canon characters I'd only be open to roleplays revolving around Jegulus (James x Regulus), Drarry (Draco x Harry), or Wolfstar (Sirius x Remus).
Misc.
I'm open to a lot more than just the above ideas, so don't hesitate to reach out if you've got something else in mind! Keep in mind that I am open to plots tackling all manners of dark themes, and I kind of prefer the angst to the fluff in all honesty. Additionally, the plots don't need to necessarily involve any romance either as long as the character dynamics are intriguing. Just please have an open mind towards us building a story together that we would both enjoy. I want us both to have fun, and I hope you share the sentiment.

rule one.
Be over 18. I'm an adult in their early twenties, and it would just be uncomfortable roleplaying with anyone below age regardless of the content and appropriateness of the roleplay.
rule two.
Be communicative. I don't want to be the only one bringing ideas to the table, and things get pretty boring very quickly if it feels like I'm the only one getting excited. Also if you're not a fan of talking in OOC, then I don't think we'd be a good fit.
rule three.
Be open to queerness. It's pretty obvious I'm queer myself, but I also don't like to do MxF as a primary dynamic. I much prefer MxM or FxF, but I will double up if the roleplay is intriguing enough.
