OKAY, this is driving me mad, why can't I pm people yet!? People can PM me, and I can reply, but I can't find how to initiate a conversation. I have more than 10 posts and have been registered for 24 hours.

Hi CaptainDorran and welcome. We appreciate your patience. You are correct that is not down to the minute - but it's roughly 24 hours from when you registered.
This is an anti-spam feature and it works quite well. We do have bots occasionally get through the "are you human" registration checks, and we don't want them spamming private messages to everyone. Thanks again for your understanding and welcome to RpN!
