I usually rp on discord and I’m trying out forum rps after hearing about them a lot. No idea what I’m doing.

I’m also a little scared I might not live up to the standards of some people on here.

After doing a bit of instant messaging discord and forum RPing I can definitely say I prefer the forum setting much better. Less strain to message instantly and just the cleanness of the UI on this site.

I'm only a newbie too but to start you off search the Recruit Here on the front page for people searching for specific roleplay scenarios or whatever or post about what you'd be searching for in there. Most people seem to then after leaving a comment and receiving a "yeah lets do this" they discuss more indepth in the private messaging equivalent here called "conversations" and then either RP from there or start a new thread under the "One on One Rolaplay (1x1)" Board and go from there.

What specifically do you need help with?

If you're looking to join an RP hit up the interest check board. There's group and 1x1 interest checks. You can join one of those or post your own if you want. Group RP's will usually take about a week to start up. Gotta let everyone make their character and stuff. 1x1's will happen as fast as you can set them up.

If you need anything else just lemme know. And don't worry about not living up to standards of people. At the end of the day this shit is for fun. Don't stress out over it. If someone is a prude and says you're not 'good enough' for them, whatever that means, fuck 'em.
