Hello everyone I just joined this site about five minutes ago!


I've roleplayed on other sites via messaging system but never on forums before. Do people roleplay through private messages on here? I'm just wondering, that's what I'm more comfortable with.

Here on RPN, we role play publicly. You can create or join a role play by going to the Role Play tab at the top of the page. When 2 people want to, they can take a scene from a role play and continue it in private message, while continuing to role play on the regular page.

To expand on what Rhetoric mentioned, we do generally roleplay publicly. However, it is not necessary for it to be a scene for you to have one on one roleplay in PM's, even small group roleplays! You will find in recruitment, that many one on one roleplayers prefer the privacy (not really that private) of PM's.


But if you have any questions, many of our members are kind and would love to help you out. Don't be afraid to come through the shoutbox and chat up with some of our members on a more personal level!

And yes, some do RP through the private message system. Though I would suggest taking advantage and use the site's resources for your RP needs. The way the RP threads work here is pretty nifty. :3
