Hello from the world’s biggest noob

Hi there, how’s it going?
Really? Oh that’s so *insert appropriate reaction here*.

Well my life has been going great actually, so much so that I’ve even signed up for a role playing site!
I was reccomened to try and join one by a friend after they told me how much more fun it is than writing a story (which we have both tried to do and both failed to complete anything). I chose this because this one had the easiest format...

As you can tell, I’m new to this. Heck I don’t even know what to write here but I suppose since you’re still reading this, I can tell you a bit about myself:

• I’m experienced(ish-not-really) with writing creatively but not experienced at all with roleplay
• I’ve often tried to write fantasy stories so I suppose that’d be the type of genre I’m into role playing, but I’m open to anything
• I am sorry in advance if I do anything to upset anyone while I roleplay, or if I am terrible at it.

Hello there! Welcome to RPNation! I actually first started out writing before roleplaying and it was a whole new world to me as well!
If you need help and any tips on roleplaying please let me know and I can send you two guides that are incredibly helpful!

I would perhaps recommend starting off doing one x one’s which are in the “looking for partner” area to get your feet wet! There are also many different discussions on here to immerse yourself in as well!

Hello! I think there are a lot people who get into roleplay as an outlet to combat their self-doubt about writing and to brush up on their skills, so you're in good company!

I always view roleplay as "writing a creative short story with others" and it's always the way I choose too look at it.
