So, kind of awkward since i came here to seek out and stalk some of my old RP and other forum buddies, but I'll go ahead and introduce myself.


My user name is my real name, the above mentioned people probably wouldn't know me otherwise. Don't look at me like that i was 14 when i first registered to a forum, i didn't even know the internet.


Anyway, since this is a RP forum, some things about RP and myself.


I've been DM-ing for now 8 years running, and I've ran D&D 3.5 and Cthulhu (for the d20 system, not the d100 one). I have a ton of experience under my belt as both a player and a DM and i enjoy doing both. I also played some other RP's and i love playing modern setting roleplay, survival roleplay, or just plain fantasy roleplay settings. So far i had a few major campaigns under my belt as a DM and am currently leading my very much epic (in both scope (some 400+ pages of DM work)) and level D&D 3.5 campaign with some of my friends. I still can't decide if i love DM-ing or playing more, both are very enjoyable to me.


Other interests include gaming of nigh any sort (little minus here on sports), and...well that's about it i guess. I'm not too big on hobbies.


As of now i have little time on my hands (what with that campaign going on), but if anyone has a survival/modern/fantasy setting that's easy to slip in, I would not mind giving it a shot. I enjoy both complex and simple settings, so that doesn't really matter to me.

I'm sure you'll find everything to suit your interests here at RPdom, since we have a great many fantasy and modern games as well as a variety of survival-style games across the whole range of genres.


The best place to look for our games is in the 'Our Roleplays' forum. There you'll find concise details of all the currently running games along with handy status prefixes to indicate the game's type of recruitment. Closed games are, obviously, closed to the submission of new players, though some STs will be open to the possibility of new players, especially if others have dropped out. Waitlist games are those which are accepting new character submissions, but new characters might not start immediately due to storyline constraints (it's kinda hard to introduce a new character when you're travelling over several thousand miles of barren, featureless wastelands). Recruiting and Joinable games are actively looking for new/extra characters and a play can expect to be involved in the game pretty rapidly.


The best way to get involved in any game is to either post your interest in the 'Our Roleplays' thread, on the game forum's Our of Character (OOC) thread or by contacting the ST directly using the private Conversation system.


Another place to look is the 'Roleplay Submissions' forum and the 'Interest Checks' sub-forum. The former are games waiting to get approval for forums and actively seeking players, while the latter is a method (but by no means mandatory) where an ST can pitch an idea to the community before going through the hard work of creating a setting and story plotline and finding that there are few players interested in joining.


But there's more! RPdom also has a dedicated TeamSpeak server, the client for which can be downloaded, for free, here. TeamSpeak is a chat system (typed or verbal) that can be modded to allow in-system dice rolling to support roleplaying games when the players can't be in the same place at the same time. We also have an area for Thread Roleplays, which do not require the Admin approval process and there are a variety of discussion and creativity threads for people to express themselves. So go ahead and dive right in!


Finally, I'd just like to say that if you have any questions, don't hesitate to post them in this thread here or, if it is a matter you would rather be kept private, you can use the confidential Admin Contact forum and be assured that only the senior staff will see it.

Following the wall of text above is me, Medelsvensson. I hope you will come to feel at home here with us at the dom and that we can share many spectacular adventures together. I just recently threw up an interest check called 'The Lost' which will become a fantasy game with an original setting. Not much has been revealed as of yet, which is because I'm still working on it, but I will make a complete submission once I feel ready. Check it out if you feel like it.


I'm going to seem like a shameless advertiser, which I am, but I really can't recommend any other games as I don't know which you'd like. Not because you didn't tell me enough about your taste, but because I don't know any of the games. I used to know them, but I went away! Rough times... Especially for Captain Hesperus, he wept.
