  Her relationship with her parents were fairly strained since the death of her twin brother during a tragic accident in her childhood. She had been playing treasure hunter in the woods, and was unable to hear her brother when he fell down a well and fractured his spine. He was eventually found dead three days later. Layla would eventually add her brother's name as her middle name as a form of homage. Her fairly well-off parents funded her education, and while Layla was always a single child after the incident and therefore their favorite by default(it helps that her cousins are absolute brats) her familial gathering parties are still fairly tense. The family isn't completely intolerant of each other, simply unknowing how to mend the rift.
  She spent her entire life studying, and even the apocalypse arose, she was surprisingly well prepared for it, completely decked out from all her travels and studies. Layla loves collecting treasures, especially artifacts.

  Layla is a blunt, direct type of woman with a sarcastic deadpan when she's annoyed. While she's pragmatic to a fault, she is deathly loyal to any members of her expedition. While she's far from capable in a fight, she's not entirely helpless. She can, after all, use first aid and the Hide skill very effectively. Either way, she's extremely studious and filled to the brim with unswaying confidence. It is not arrogance, nor is it haughtiness, rather a deadset determination that can't be swayed. Once she gets her hands on a relic, you can bet your spine demons can't pry it even from her cold dead hands.

Name: Saff Azrim

Appearance: Saff stands at a slightly below average height of 5' 5”. He has light brown skin and thick, wavy hair that is as black as it gets. He looks younger for his age, likely due to his height, dress, and healthy active lifestyle. He usually wears black hoodies with a tank-top or t-shirt underneath, slim-fit jeans and black ankle high hiking boots.

Personality: At his best, Saff is kind, loyal, caring and understanding. He's always eager to help those who need it, and has a strong sense of justice. At his worst, he is stubborn and argumentative, and will not back down from a fight, especially if it's with someone that he knows is wrong.

Backstory: Before everything went to hell, Saff earned a decent living as a machinist like his father before him. Once a week, he volunteered at a not-for-profit organization as a youth mentor for young men between the ages of thirteen and sixteen. Part-time, he was a fighter in the amateur MMA scene and assistant instructor at his club, Slumdog MMA. Slumdog operated out of a gymnasium in a local Mosque. Gumby was Saff's ring name, and his win-loss record was fairly even. Several MMA gyms in town had some 'beef' with Slumdog, or rather with Saff due to his 'dirty fighting' in street altercations with members of said gyms. He lived with his mother and father. His father, Hashim, was a machinist and his mother, Minnah, was an educational assistant at an elementary school. Sarya, his younger sister, had moved out after completing her studies in literature and securing a job with a respectable publishing firm. Saff's family has since passed on to a better place.
