|Synopsis|​

After an absolutely devastating loss in the year of 1922 in which even the director of the burial agency met a gruesome demise due to a traitorous member, leaving nothing but remains.
The holy church has more or less abandoned the idea of the burial agency.
With no mentally disturbed executors on hand, Cardinal James XI (Acting official of the church in the mysterious absence of Pope [REDACTED]) sought to close the Burial Agency for good. His wishes however to lay the duties of hunting heretics and vampires and demons and such (Which he was certainly unaware actually existed. Certainly he had knowledge of the mages association and other supernatural things, but he was much a skeptic for a man of god thinking the Burial Agency was simply a front for the torture of Heretics) were met with backlash by members of the church who knew of the importance the organization had to the protection of the holy order (And therefor tolerated the absurdity of the group in it's many iterations)
So he sought out the most broken and eccentric entities who wished to apply for the job of hunting heretics (And some that did not, coerced into the job as many who enter the Agency are).
It has been 3 years since those members were recruited the moment this story begins.
Though infuriating, the collection of madcaps and murderers has been deemed "Successful enough" by the higher orders of the church and allowed to continue operation with relative freedom. (Taking on both third-party contracts and direct orders from the church).
Cheers to continued success, though who knows what's in store for 1925? Troubling news is always on the horizon for the Agency, danger is freshly in season.

|The Church|​

The church more or less allows the agency to operate with relative freedom, though they technically answer to the Pope (Or in this circumstance, Acting Pope "Cardinal James XI"). They are mostly held accountable to themselves due to the disdain the church tends to hold toward them (A necessary evil, so to speak). Members of the agency are not required to actually believe in the holy order, or even particularly like them. In the eyes of the church "If the job gets done, it doesn't really matter".

| The Agency |​

The Burial Agency itself is responsible for taking on highly dangerous Occult and Supernatural threats to the holy order, prominently created to hunt Dead Apostles (Vampires) and Demons. The Agency also takes on contracts to hunt extremely heretical magus and occasionally other more simple tasks (Even the Church isn't made of money, man.) Though they get orders from the Church, they also occasionally cooperate with the Magus Association and other organizations if requested. All Requests for contracts go through the Director of the Organization, which is then passed down to the individual members. Though prior and future members of the burial agency mostly operated independently, due to the the devastation the wracked the previous eight members, the current employees are "offered" (See: Forced) accommodations within the Burial Agency building. (Though they don't have to get along, nor actually work on missions together...Most of the time)

|The Director|​

The current Director of the Burial Agency has chosen to remain entirely anonymous. They live within the Burial Agency Building (On the lowest basement floor, which is entirely locked off to even the Cardinal). It is believed this is due to the slaughtering of the previous director during the 1923 incident.
They communicate entirely through written letter on floral print paper with distinctive seal, appearing on a specific table whenever a contract is given to the Agency, how it gets there is a mystery.
