Kingdom of Argena

The wealthiest, popular, and best kingdom to stay in.

Argena

Humankind has taken over this place and is one of the largest in the country. There are very few to no other races in this place, and it's quite a rare catch to see any of these here since they're often "looked down upon." You do have those that support the unity of the world, but then, it's quite impossible to see most of them here. Argena still has great agriculture, wealth, and power still in hand compared to the others. Home is more of a French-English type of building and attire.

Kingdom of Yukio

Home of the demons, half-demons, and the exiles.

Yukio

Demons have taken over this land, often secluded and avoided from humans in order to avoid any fear of death. Myths, legends, and other things were birthed right here in Yukio. What's the most eye-catching of this kingdom is the ever-so-growing Sakura trees and endless waves of mountains and Asian-inspired architecture and culture. Of course, half-demon and half-human have subsided here due to their unwelcomeness in Argena.

Yukio being made up of mountains has a staggering way of its "social classes." Instead of being dictated by wealth, as Yukio certainly pales in comparison to its sister kingdoms, it is dictated by the observance of humanity. Not by appearances, but by moral virtue, reason, or instinct. The more "human" and civil live further up the mountain, while the wildest and most ruthless prey at the mountains’ bases. The ruling family is well in keeping relationships with their people on the mountains, but almost always they must cut down those at the foot (or forfeit their own lives). When traveling at ground level, battle, gore, and death are common. Today it is indifference. It is like the mail being delivered, or the sun rising, it’s just something that’s considered normal and accepted.

The ruling family is often referred to as Yuki-Oni, a family mostly comprised of Oni and Yukiona. (Oni are like trolls/devils/demons, and Yukiona are snow-women [think Elsa I guess]) Yukioni is trained as part of their coming of age to tolerate alcohol, one way or another. The prince, heir, is considered “the dragon” while the princess, heir, is considered “the phoenix” or "fenghuang" Some believe that of the two (respectively) in addition to ice, one can control water, and one fire (perhaps breathe it, part of the oni). These are more myth due to lack of evidence beyond storytelling as most outside the kingdom aren't able to safely travel through unless the royalty actually decide to host them.

Kingdom of Lumina

Oldest and was there during the war a long time ago.

Lumina

Although there's not much prosperity, wealth, and power here, the people's intelligence surpasses the other Kingdoms. Only the royalty hold their magic powers and are the only ones who wield them. Much of their agriculture is still old-school traditional Argena that was once a unity before.

Magic is the royalty's biggest asset that is passed through blood. Although there are those that are not in the royal family that do have some "magic" abilities, most of the royal bloodline are the strongest and best in the Kingdom. Only those that wield strong magical power are considered highly favored in the royal family due to the heir and those that aren't favored are often brushed off in the countryside in a nice, large comfortable home near the Palace.

During the great war, Lumina was involved whether they wanted to due to it being in the middle of the land between Argena and Yukio, being a link between the two. During this time, Lumina was the trade center for goods, facilitating exchange between Kingdoms due to their position.

When the war started, Lumina was hit economically due to its dependency on trade and merchants. A cease and tension between Argena and Yukio caused Lumina a big loss, and dealing with bandits and troublemakers during the war didn't help.

A bad harvest, poverty, and war greatly caused the great Kingdom of Lumina to decline quickly, becoming the weakest of the three Kingdoms.

"Right now, fragile stability has returned, but the common people are barely able to make ends meet and it's only a question of time before it explodes into a revolt. The noble, with many losing half of their income to the war and only now recovering, have become resentful of Argena and Yukio and there is a growing wish to bring back Lumina's' former glory' by taking a slightly more expansionist approach refill coffers and heal the nationally wounded pride. Even more focus on magic power and class than before, as the nobility's position, has been weakened by the war due to them somewhat failing at protecting the kingdom. Which is traditionally considered their role and as such, they seek to reinforce their legitimacy."
