Emetaly smiled at her mate's reply, and wagged her tail softly. She turned and swatted Emonah away playfully, "Leonhart is right, I won't be here to protect you forever." she responded with a wink. She bent down and started to lick her brown fur clean and laughed as the pup pushed her away. "The least you could do is let your withering mother clean your fur!" she exclaimed, sticking her tongue out at the small pup. Her ears twitched lightly as she heard Leonheart mention the forest to his dad. "Now Leo, you know you aren't allowed in the forest. Ever. Not until you're old enough to fight your own battles. Which you aren't." she said scolding him before proving her point by pushing his body over with a single paw. She stood up and stretched, shaking off the grass that had accumulated in her fur since the time she sat down. "Now, how about breakfast?" she asked, popping her tongue against her cheek as she did so. She turned just in time to see her brother run off in a hast and wondered momentarily if he was okay, but quickly cleared it from her mind. Family or not, a den mother musn't be worried about Omega affairs.

Emonah rolled over in the grass, enjoying the warmth of the sun that had been hidden away for so long this previous winter. She was a little upset that Uncle Imari would not play with her, but understood. Omegas can't be bothered by play, they have better things to do. At least, she thought. She walked over to her father and Taronja, rubbing her body against Taronja's before plopping herself down between her and he dad. "Mommy said we can go get breakfast now. If you guys wanna come." she offered, rolling over on her back to look at the blue cloudy skies. As a pup, she didn't have any jobs to handle. All she had to do was obey the den mother, who was, coincidentally, her mother as well. Emonah was impatiently waiting for her body to develop some sort of power that was equal to that of her mothers, or maybe better, but she had been told many times that abilities aren't hereditary, which disappointed her.

Imari heard the sounds of the wolves' voices, but only faintly. The forgotten memories clouded his mind, clouding his vision like a haze. It weighed his head down, but caused chills down the rest of his body. Feel an odd movement on his back, his head swiveled to view it with an unfamiliar slowness. The fur that decorated his body had become puffed with anxiety, making him look twice as bit. He was a coil, strung and ready to pounce.


The moment his eyes made contact with the Slith that had mounted his back, a jolt went through his eyes. He responded by jumping up and screeching, almost losing his balance. He flung the little beast from his back, causing it to fall the long distance down. Imari looked at its descent, watching with eyes that were from another land. And, slowly, he recuperated. His eyes stopped quivering, he fur became less disturbed and again flattened against his body as it normally did.



He felt his strength leave him, and the adrenaline lost to the delirious dream he had. His legs buckled from under him and he fell from the tree. He smacked branches on the way down, but looked as if he was not in pain as he tumbled down. Honestly, he looked rather depressed. His closed eyes were bothered even before he had made the fall. As he finally made it down, his body with scratches and bruises, his eyes closed.. He had noted the fact that Katalista was gone, and thus stayed quiet.



The Omega felt a sigh escape his throat, and his closed eyes opened again with regret. "I did it again, didn't I? I thought that I was fixed. I'm so very sorry for causing you any grief." the wounded Tikaani whispered, his wounds the least of his worries. Using his least injured leg, he pushed himself up gingerly. With a
fleeting look about him, checking for something with sadness, he began shuffling his feet and limping away. The Omega could care less about his wounds right now. All he knew was that he needed to be fixed immediately.


Imari was headed towards Nyx, whom he knew well at this point. He would have to tell her... And yet, he didn't want to. Inwardly, he sighed at his conflicted state. This was just going to worry her more. And he felt bad for the older wolf, whom already had so much stress on her as it was. He moved towards her den, limping getting better as he went on. But finally, he called towards it. "Nyx! It... It happened again...!" he shouted, hoping desperately that she would understand what he meant. Maybe she couldn't hear him? Somewhere in the back of the Omega's mind, he worried that Katalista would be troubled by his issue, and felt even worse.

Of course the rather dramatic underling had to take a tumble from the tree. Hitting the ground softly, as a result of smashing his bodice upon every single branch that stood in his way, the male broke his fall gracefully, or as Kalo thought, painfully. But, with a sudden spriteful action, the Omega found himself with an excuse to leave the conversation. And it was going so well! With haste, the hunter made his way to the omega, as he walked back the way that Kalo had treaden this morning. Making his way closer to him, he felt at odds when he bellowed for Nyx like she were to be a maiden for which he would service. As an omega, he was low priority unless shown otherwise, no?


The cuts were numerous. The bruises, however, did not show. It took time for the colors to fully admit themselves. As the healthy male approached, he spoke. "Stop," he commanded, hoping that the male would for just a moment, "before you rush yourself off to the infirmary with your daily dose of idiocy, listen to my apology. Imari, I did not intend to use your life as a bargaining chip. Whatever reason it may be for your mishaps, tell nobody if you do not feel up to it. Just know that I want to trust you, and I can only do so much."


Not exactly the ideal apology to give, but perhaps it would work out in the end. The hunt would be enjoyable. "Your friend is checking with Brimir. If he says yes, I will see to it we stick together. If you are to ever be anything more than something to look down on, you need a lesson to learn, do you not?"

Leonhart nodded toward his daughter, "yes breakfast sounds nice right bout now." He turned toward Taronja smiling, "come, let us all eat as a family." He got up from the ground and turned, facing the direction his mate, "youll be fine Taronja, and so will Kamar, just give him time, everything will be fine." He began to walk away when he felt something tugging at him,
'someone just fell out of a tree i think.' The chirps of disturbed birds had temporarily filled the area, but quieted down soon afterwards.

Ok, this would have to make sense, seeing how seriously she was taking this. But it also couldn't be near anyone else, seeing how if they heard, the entire tribe would get worked up from rumors of this completely fake mission he had. A breeze floated past, ruffling the ridge of feathers that graced his neck. Sol shivered, making his scales ripple all over his body, reflecting iridescent light from the glowing sun. He then jabbed her, figuratively speaking, with his eyes, jerking his head to some thinker woods.


He hissed a quick whisper at her. "Come on, I have a place we can go."
Vokul's wings! Why did I say that? I DON'T HAVE ANY PLACE TO GO!! He began to mutter softly under his breath, turning away into the woods, expecting Xenosa to follow.


"Nievar ku Nasci, koni mi lasti, liiku ma ol asq. Nievar ku Nasci, koni mi lasti, liiku ma ol asq. Nievar ku Nasci, koni mi lasti, liiku ma ol asq."



Sol filled himself with confidence, putting on a knowledgable air, the pose of one who has any inkling of what they are doing. He bounces away, long, fluffy, tail trailing behind him like the body of a [insert snake creature here]. Solfaer sure hoped his prayers would lead him to a good place, or at least provide a distraction.
Oh, yes! The hunt! I forgot! Oh, I do hope that begins soon, It would make this so much easier...

By the time Katalista had reached the Shaman's den, she had organized her thoughts into a much more logical way and she knew longer felt the slightly confused fear that had gripped her mind only moments before. What had he remembered or had sien that sent him into such a state? What panicked and pained him so much to the point of such panic and paranoia? She wished she knew..


Brushing the painful thoughts from her mind, her eyes focused on the mouth of the cave belonging to the Shaman, stopping just outside out of respect. "Nyx? Alpha?" She called jnto the cave, peering inside without moving from her spot at the entrance.

Xenosa was wondering what would keep Sol standing there for so long in silence. The breeze blew the feather on top of her head gently, her sky blue eyes just staring at Sol. Was he debating whether to lead her in this mission?


As he gestured over at the woods, she looked left to right to see whether any wolves were watching. Xenosa nodded at Sol and followed him into the forest,
"Okay, lead the way."


Her ears twitched as he muttered some sorta prayer, but didn't seem to mind it. She once again stared at him, this time on the back of his head. Xenosa's expectations of a dangerous threat coming to their pack was rising. Her excitment being contained, bottled up in her, mind. Though, unknowingly, she was probably (not literally) burning a hole on the back of Sol's head, glaring with a fierce expression.


When she noticed that Sol looked very confident, Xenosa asumed that this had to be something big. She felt it in her bones as she looked forward. Xenosa kept her composure, standing tall.

Imari clenched his teeth as he went on his way, pushing his way through the pain. A very commanding voice spoke up behind him, and only then did he realize his vision had failed him. Nyx's den was much farther away then he had anticipated. Seeing as he did not want his state to worsen, he kept going. Then, more words were spoken. 'Apology' was one of them. He winced, picturing his beaten up and morally broken father who was not the wolf he used to be. The first words that his father said when he got back were, "Please, take my apology." Imari turned towards the male wolf behind him, eyes full of an odd forgiveness.


"I understand. Theres nothing more I would like than to deal with this myself, and let the entire clan trust me with whatever they wish. But, that won't be possible." he declared, utterly sure of himself in a somewhat miserable way. He looked as if he wanted to tell the healthy male something. But, he digressed, "The thing is, many Tikaani have tried helping me. Too many to count. You do not need to if you don't want to." he explained, face serious. A
confiding feeling overcame him, and he could not help himself. He looked happy, but melancholic because of it. "The hunt... I would love with all my heart to go, and if I could I would join every single one of them." He laughed, voice pained.


"
'The winds of fate are so very kind to life's birds. They flutter, stall, and keep going through whatever it is life throws at them. They ride the winds and enjoy themselves. Life for them, as they say, is a breeze. Those unfortunate enough to have no wings... They have no say in their own fate'. Something my mother would say when something deplorable happened. She was not the most religious, but she did believe that we were being punished for losing our wings whenever things like that happened." he finished, a far off look in Imari's eyes.


Quite suddenly, he snapped out of it. "Why is it that you want to help me?" he asked abruptly, suddenly realizing that Kalo was being very
persistent. And then, another question pushed itself into Imari's mind. Why did it matter right now? He needed to get to Nyx, and soon. He awaited a response respectfully from the male, but he could not predict what he would say. Nasci's forgiveness, please let him understand and not assume anything...

With the omega in self-doubt, the hunter himself saw no other options. Taking longer strides, Kalo forced himself to appear ahead of Imari, before stopping himself. The male, for once, could see the shame hidden in the omega's eyes. The male thought to himself for a moment, pondering how to address him. "Imari," he began with a low tone, "do you truly desire why I choose to speak with you? So be it. You are an omega for a reason, a terrible one as you choose not to say. But,the people who have tried to help you failing does not make you a failure. It's about believing you can defend this home. It is yours after all. If you prefer to sleep in a canopy grown from droppings, then why bother?"


The patriotic speech was perhaps rather unnecessary. But Kalo was not going to let him go that easy. He could simply ignore him, walk away from everything like it were nothing but a feeble attempt to care. "Where I came from, up in the North, I had a teacher once. He taught me that with this life, there are trailblazers, there are those lost in this life without hope, and there are those who have not found their path. The difference between the latter and the former is that the latter means that they have given up on all hope, and are bound to walk for eternity. The former, they search for their path every day, and maybe it takes all life, but they find it through heart."


Kalo looked down at the ground for a moment, trying to think of something else to say. Hopefully his message was getting through. "We hunt in pairs, so we don't get attacked. After one hunter got ambushed by a rather large prey, we stay in pairs. I'd like to accompany you, if Brimir is merciful enough. Just remember these words:


“Hope” is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul and sings the tune without the words and never stops at all.

Nadie turned to the sound of her name as she was finishing a quick meal. "Ah, Hello Meynx," she nodded her head in acknowledgement of the grayish wolf before directing to her question. "The hunt, yes... I am just waiting for Brimir to get done with his talk with Nyx and then we shall decide together," Nadie informed her before looking over to where Brimir was still talking with the shaman. She felt a slightly queasy feeling, but pushed it down.
I do hope he finishes soon. I really need to go for my morning run, she thought while keeping her facial expressions steady.


"If you could go and make sure the lead hunter is ready," she wanted to make sure everything was moving fairly well so that they could be fully ready when Brimir did get ready. It seemed like Brimir and Nyx would be a tad bit longer, though hopefully not too much longer since the prey pile was low and she seemed to be already about to get rid of what she already ate.
I wish this infuriating sickness would hurry and pass, she growled in her head while keeping her eyes on the Lead Warrior.

Ammax slowly jogged to a stop, nearing a river. He croutched. Those fucking tiger people can jump me. He thought. He carefully padded over to the flowing, clear water. He started drinking, weary of his surroundings. He stared at his reflection as he drank. His big ears were standing straight up, his fur on edge. He lifted his head, hearing leaves cruntch. He saw five of those tiger people. They were in the distance, but it did not change the fact they were there. They seemed to be walking silently, but the two on the back weren't. They jumped around, and tackled each other. There was one in the very front, the most serious of the five. The two in the middle were walking along side each other. Ammax stood calmly, seeing as they are not threat, and jogged back to the Tribe Lands. He heard a buzz noise, and he looked up. A beesnak fluttered over him, looking for prey. He quickly started walking under the cover of trees. He absolutely loathed Beesnak.

He entered the main area of the Tribe, a few pups playing around. He jogged up to his den, and layed down at the door. He watched over the town, waiting for the hunt.

After Ammax and Lora had backtracked through the forest to the actual residency of the pack members, Ammax had to go gather something in his den, and left Lora's side. The red and white female nodded respectfully as he took his leave, and then did the same, walking through the pack grounds. She could see the den mother's large den from where she stood, and could see the pups playing around outside, as well as the adults speaking amongst themselves outside it. Her nose wrinkled in disgust at the pups' rowdy behavior, but she needed to go speak with the den mother. With a sigh, Lora began to walk over to the adults of the group, avoiding the pups as much as she could.


"Sorry to intrude upon your family meal, Emetaly, Leonhart. I came to request that once the hunt begins, you take the pups inside your den, as that would be safest. The majority of hunters and warriors will be out on the hunt, and we don't want the pack to be defenseless. I'm going to station one or two hunters to remain here and protect the pack, possibly with a warrior or two, while the rest go on to hunt. I believe that would be reasonable." Lora spoke softly, not wanting to grab the attention of the other pups. Her voice was tight and her face expressionless, the vivid female obviously tense near all of the little ones. She shifted slightly as she waited for either of them to respond, praying to Nasci in high hopes that the pups would continue playing and leave her be.

As Ayola pushed through the thicket of leaves and twigs, her purple fur brushing against the hard, out of season berries, she thought about how Coeur had nuzzled her face in return, and the warm feeling it had brought to her. His movement had been gentle and caressing, which made the decorated female brim with joy. She grinned as she continued, hearing Coeur exit the clearing behind her, following her movements. The clearing wasn't too far from the pack's living quarters, and was still a part of their land, so Ayola and Coeur weren't breaking any tribe laws. As the two of them continued through the forest, Ayola's mouth still full of berries, she noticed that the sun had risen farther during the time Ayola had been at the clearing and while she was talking with Coeur.


The hunt will be starting soon, Ayola thought to herself with excitement, picking up get pace as the two of them trotted to where the rest of the pack was, near the dens. The ground beneath her paws was soft and smelled like morning dew, a scent that normally woke Ayola in the morning, if her father wasn't griping at her about sleeping in. Ayola looked up at Coeur, admiring him when he wasn't looking. She loved the way his fur changed color, the naturally different shades across his body amazed her, and the splash of purple paint on his face made her giggle slightly before turning her gaze towards the pack. Since the sun was rising behind them, the rays were displayed across the pack, shining on the nature surrounding them.

Sol continued to bound his way through the woods, hoping (or not hoping) that Xenosa would be able to keep up. His burst of panicked confidence was beginning to wear off, so he sped up through the woods, trying to get to wherever he was being led as fast as he could.


"Nievar ku Nasci, koni mi lasti, liiku ma ol asq."



Small leaves were scattered, disturbed by his fleeting presence. Sol's feet barely touched the ground, he even closed his eyes and traveled blindly, trusting someone else to look for him. Then, the small sounds of a(n) [insert bird name here] disturbed him from his rather active trance. Maybe he had arrived? Sol cracked his eyelids, golden pupils peeking around, and realized the place looked familiar, very familiar in fact.



It was the clearing of mating circle.



Sol just couldn't take this anymore. He lost all of his confidence with this low blow, dropped to the ground, and rolled onto his back, legs in air. A small whimper of despair left him, knowing all hope had been lost, and that Nasci surely was punishing him. Sol then dropped back onto his side and waited there, waited for the creatures of the forest to get it over with and feast on his practically already dead corpse.

Leonhart looked up from his meal to see that Loraleigh has entered his and Emetaly's home. He listened and nodded his head to Lora's message, "don't worry we'll have the little ones inside safe and sound during the hunt, ain't that right little ones?" He could see Lora wasn't a fan of being near the pups, her face may not show it, but the eyes are the perfect window into someone's heart.


Lanius ran into the den, "aww but I want to go hunt! Just like father!" He ran up to Lora and sat right in front of her looking up towards her, "When can I do stuff just like father?"

When Sol started running, Xenosa kept up just fine, swiftly dodging branches and bushes. She wondered how much further they needed to go, though Xenosa hope he wasn't lead her just out of the pack's territory, she didn't want to deal with any punishments. The sounds of different bird noises called out in the morning sky as they ran, her long white fur flowing through the wind. She had to admit that it was such nice today, if she could, she would have slept for the whole day. Though she could never do it because there were things that needed to be done each day.


As they ran through the woods, Xenosa realized where they were. They were near the clearing of the Mating Circle. How did she know where they were? Xenosa had no idea, she guessed that since she's been in the pack for at least 20 years, her mind had mapped the place. She opened her mouth to say something, but Sol had tripped over something, tumbling out in the clearing. Xenosa slowly down, of course watching her step, before seeing what was wrong with him. Sol's confidence had disappeared as showed on his face and a depressed expression replaced it. Some wolves stared at the two with curiosity before continuing their way back to the pack. She was standing in front of where his head was and looked down on him a bit,
"Is...everything alright?"


The breeze blew by again, gently ruffling her light blue feathers. Xenosa asked,"Why did we stop here? Aren't the others going to hear about our little secret mission?"

Meynx sat waiting for Nadie to reply, large ears perking once the female asked her to retrieve the lead hunter. Menyx was relatively new to being a lead warrior and therefore was not deeply acquainted with the alpha’s...in truth despite the fact she had lived in the pack for as long as her brother; Meynx had kept to herself having no real need to socialize, honestly having no real interest in socializing, instead working on perfecting her combat technique’s in private. With her promotion the female had a new goal...she was now responsible for the lives of her warriors and the lives of those they defended. Meynx took those responsibilities very seriously.



Turning her attention toward the camp Meynx looked for the unique colors of the white striped hunter, unable to sight the female. Awakening the memory she had stored minutes before Meynx went to the place she had last seen Lora, following the distinct scent until it led her to the the home of the den mother. Spotting the hunter Meynx approached just in time to hear a cub express his want to hunt.



When it comes to pups Meynx had to admit a quirk...she was aware a deep affection for the small, defenseless, silly little creatures. It was startling that such an instant attachment could be made to a creature that the lead warrior had not even met. Ironically, despite her grating personality, a pup was likely the only stranger that could approach Meynx and get her to play almost immediately.



So Meynx answered the small onyx cub with rare humor sparkling in her eyes. “The reason you can not go with your father, little one, is because you have to stay and defend your siblings.” When Menyx turned toward Loraleigh her eyes were a lot more serious, a lot more piercing, not only because of the formality of the upcoming hunt, but also because of the lead warrior’s mental note of her brother walking beside this particular female.

Coeur pushed through the thick but thornless bush, glad that Ayola had shown him a less painful way to and fro the clearing. As soon as his head broke free of the thicket he saw her feathered figured just ahead him. He couldn't help but smile as he ran to catch up with her, slowing down to walk beside her as they headed back towards the pack area. His fur still tingled where her face had touched his, leaving him with a sort of elated joy that just wouldn't go away. He smiled to himself as he walked beside him, a happy spring in his step.



The forest was especially beautiful during Primavera (spring) mornings. All around him flowers were coming in at full strength, shades of pink red and blue sticking out against the brown and green backdrop. Lush, bright green crab grass grey in clumps between the trees and berry bushes laiden with colorful berries and leaves dotted the landscape. Yet some how the beauty of Nasci's forest seemed to pale in comparison to that of Ayla.



The colors of the forest seemed dull compared to those of her purple, pink and even blue fur. The smell of morning dew that filled might as well had been that of dung, the smell of fresh berry paint on her fur was as sweet as fresh meat. He found himself looking down at her almost against his own will as he walked beside her, soaking in every aspect of her form.



She was nearly half a foot shorter than him, her decorated head barely reaching his neck. Beside her the small Coeur felt like a giant... it was a feeling he rarely got amongst the larger males. He found that he enjoyed the difference in their sizes, it was perfect in a way. Her small frame was a mix of different colors, feathers and jewelry. Her ruined paint covered her face in a swirling collage of purple, pink, brown and even white, golden eyes that seemed to shine even in the sun peering out from beneath the chaos. A mane of feathers peaked out from her purple neck and pink back, a mixture of pink-almost white of feathers that gave way to long purple feathers tipped with pink, purple peacock feathers sticking out from behind them. Her flanks were a dark pupal, almost brown color that gave way to the pink on her back. Her colorful framed ended in a just as magnificent tale that continued the pink color scheme of her back until just about midway where the shade darkened to a navy blue.



He must have stared at her a little too long, a little too hard as suddenly she looked up at him, their eyes meeting for just a moment before both turned away. Coeur lowered his head and ran ahead of her so she couldn't see the embarrassed expression on his face. They were just friends, he shouldn't be acting this way...



Just friends. The though sunk into him, deflating his elated feeling slightly, the twinkle in his red eyes dimming and the happy skip to his step disappearing. He wished they could be more than friends... lovers, mates even. He glanced back at her, smiling sadly. He wondered who she liked- not him obviously. Maybe if he could find out he could study the wolf and figure out what she liked. Perhaps he could fit those qualities....


He shook his head. What was he thinking? He wouldn't dare risk their friendship. He gazed up at the sky, shocked to see the sun almost perfectly overhead. Had they been in the forest that long?



"C'mon Ayola!' He said, picking up his face to a near run, even sprint. "It's almost mid day, the hunt should be starting soon!". Hopefully they could make it in time to prepare some paint... he was really looking forward to spending time making paint with her...

Ammax would watch the small crowd of wolves gathered in the center, waiting for the hunt to begin. He stood, streatching his back. He stuck his head out the den, the sun hitting the side of his face. He slowly walked down, and made his way over. His ears twitched around as Sliths jumped by and wolves chattered. He soon joined the small croud, and sat down. He stared aimlessly at the ground. His mind fluttered to the tigers he saw earlier. The two in the back must have been the youngest, judjing by the way they acted. The two in the middle were a couple. No argument. The one in the front was the leader. He wore many pieces of gold, that Ammax knew represented status, or something. He licked his nose, looking at all the other wolves around him. The varieties of colors never ceased to impress him. Purple, grey, white, even green fur varieties. He chuckled inwardly.
His tail thumped against the ground, the muscles on his hind legs twitching. The hunt should start soon. He thought. He shifted his weight from one side to the other, eager to go hunt.

Emetaly nodded at Loraleigh's request for the pups to be moved inside. "I'll see to it." she said, patting the back of each of the pup's hind legs lightly, sending them in the direction of her cave. She smiled at Meynx for his reasoning with Lanius, and mouthed a thank you as she lifted the small pup up by the tufts of his fur, setting him down at the lip of the cave before turning around to face her mate. "Since the pups won't be able to leave the cave for a while, do you mind going to grab some food for us all? I know they must be hungry, I haven't gotten the chance to feed them." she asked nicely, sitting down. Her stomach gurgled quietly and she let out a soft sigh. She had hoped the hunt would be put off so the pups could play outside a bit more than they usually did, but it seemed plans had changed.

Emonah skipped past her mom and into the cave happily. She didn't mind being inside, as long as she was still able to play with her siblings. She walked forward and leaned against her mother, listening in as she made their breakfast arrangements for the day. She pretended to read her watch, before hopping between her two parents. "but Mama! It's way past breakfast time! We should be having, like, dinner by now!" she yelled dramatically desperate for the attention it would bring her. The truth was, she couldn't tell time yet, but she liked to pretend she could so that her mommy and daddy would be proud.

The Omega stood staring at the male in front of him for a long while, fur rustling in the wind. He did not make a sound as the Hunter spoke his words of hope and words of logic. Imari, after a very long time of believing he was floating in this tranquil pond of humility and self reliance, came to realize he was really drowning in a self ridiculing ocean and pushing the buoys away from himself. He had made the salty ocean with his own mental tears. In his desperate attempts for the waters of salvation, he drank the water around him frantically. He had caused his own delusions of mental stability, his thirst for self assurance unquenched and only worsened. It drained him of his logicality and left him a wretched husk of absolute pity.



The caramel wolf felt a sudden disgust with his actions. This Tikaani in front of him was right, he was so terribly right. The truth shook the Omega to his core and made him want to gag. Realization flooded his mind. He was giving up, and being an ignoramus. All he wanted was help, and yet he pushed everyone away. He thought he himself was helping everyone, and by doing so thought he needed no one. A new found respect found itself washing over him. His mouth opened, but lost the words to the winds as they were so delicately placed upon his tongue. Pushing his thoughts into his mouth with sufficient force, he managed to say something soft as a Remit.



"Why was I being... So stupid before? I was lost, so very lost. I thought I had found an island for which I could assert myself. I thought I could put my claim in the pack and feel I had done something for everyone else. I felt I made a mark. But I did nothing but kill myself slowly, and for what?!" He exclaimed, taking a long breath and riling himself up more.



"As I slowly climbed the tree of my past, seeking only the fruit on the top and ignoring all others when I was evidently starving? The fruit of ignorance, of remorse, of pity! Yes, pity me! The poor Omega! That was all I wanted, patently mislead by the dream that I was helping everyone by hindering myself. But I shall not tolerate it any longer! These shackles of infinite instability shall not bind me, I shall not be pained by my starving mind! I'll jump from the tree, tear my eyes from the deceptive fruit!" Imari shouted this, getting bewildered over it and animated. Imari didn't hardly stop to take a breath, eyes widened and determined. He flicked his tail and his ears forward and back repeatedly through his odd words.



Calming himself from his rapturous mindset, his patted down his tail which hairs' stood on end. After a moment of this silence, he looked up at the larger male. He looked rather conflicted himself, and did not know what else to speak about. And so, he softly stated the words imprinted upon his mind.



"I don't... Want to be an Omega any longer. I really, really don't. I've been lying to myself for all these years. I won't give up hope... I need to help the pack." He stated this with a new, soft spoken confidence. "You're willing to help me? I understand if not, I did do a rather... Odd thing just now." he explained, face a bit confused. "I'll take care of that problem with my own methods... But, I need to know that you'll be able to trust me. If you wish to help me, that is." his voice was not all that commanding, but it was more confident than before.

The optimistic words of the omega touched the male deeply. Perhaps he had made a friend on this day after all. The positive tone of the omega having confidence for the first time in a while only prompted the male to continue his speech. "My dear Imari," he addressed him with an appealing tone, "when I was back North, I was told some words about reaching my aspirations. 'How bad you desire your dreams is meaningless, but it is the effort which you strive to put in, and the scrifices you make, that will carry you forth.' Striking words really. The point is, Imari, saying you want something is not the same is wanting something as much as you are able to."


But, the subject of speak was dawning to an end, it appeared. Nothing more of inspiring words could be said. "Brimir may vary with his beliefs, and whatever he believes, you must accept. But, if you are able to, appeal to him, convince to him, and I will take it on my behalf to look after you in this hunt, even if you are an omega," the male spoke rather softly. It was funny, all of these words were ancient proverbs. If the humans, if they had ever existed, had anything to render to this world, it would be their words.


"But, that discussion is one you will have alone. Imari, have you heard of such things as humans? They say, some time ago, that they dominated in life. They had no hair, and they were gigantic, bigger than us! I heard that they were twelve feet tall, and they just... disappeared one day. Up North we called them 'Kawka', but that's not in the common tongue these days."
 


Nuru









The sun's radiant rays had finally leaked into the dark den of silent, solitude that held the young adult and novice Shaman Apprentice, Nuru and all of his lonesome. He adjusted his body on the soft dirt beneath him and managed to kick up dust and bits of dirt that began to linger throughout the atmosphere. Tickling his snout and causing him to awake from his slumber with a loud, alarming sneeze. He moved to his side to face the exit of his den and allow the light of day to bring him back from his partial sleeping state. He then began to raise his body up on all fours, though eyes still heavy and throat very parched, he yawned while stretching his back and legs and shaking off as much of the dirt that was trapped within his royal blue and black fur. He shook his head and let the endless amount of stored dirt fall from his long bang.


It was unique to see such fur that grew like Nuru's within his tribe, one fur color lightly trimmed all over until you reach the back of his neck to the top of his head, where wild and pointy strands of blackness dangled over his right eye and willingly swayed with every breeze. His bright ocean blue eyes beginning to widen and twinkle as it took in more of the daylight with each step taking him further outside. He inhaled, taking in every breath of fresh nature filled air and smiled.



He was filled with the joy of a thousand bees after finding a pot of honey or a late spring flower that grew only three days later than the rest, but later towered over all, Confident and Ecstatic. His parents had always feared he wouldn't be able to keep up with everyone else, but he knew they never lost hope in his adulthood success. Now look at him, a young adult making his way in the world as the Shaman's Apprentice, one of the closest members to the Shaman, besides the Alpha couple Brimir and Nadie...Shaman...Nyx...



"Oh no...I'm late! Dear Nasci I wish I hadn't overslept." He cried out, running back inside his den to retrieve his red cloth and throw it on quickly. He swiftly made his way to a nearby stream of pouring water and leaped through it, his head and back now drenched and dripping with cool water. "Ah-ah cold!" He whined. Nuru had thoroughly shook off the water and rinsed his cloth off with his teeth before racing back to and through the village. By passing a few tribesmen he knew as a young pup, but surely didn't forget, such as the Den mother Emetaly her mate Leonhart, Imari the Omega and the new pups she watched over. He called out, without slowing down for small talk. "Good morning Emetaly and everyone I hope your all doing well!"


He began to pick up the pace. His legs and paws beginning to exert more and more work and cover more ground as they brought him closer to the Alpha's den. Which in this case meant Nuru was reaching the Shaman's den as well.
"Almost there." He said as his last five steps put him in front of Nyx's den entrance, which by Nuru's surprise had his Alpha leader Brimir standing in, perhaps chit-chatting with Nyx? Feeling his chest expand with each breath slowly return as he panted. This was not just a sign of his physical exhaustion, but signs of his anxiety kicking it. Nuru hadn't prompt himself properly overnight to think of the possible task Nyx will give him and how he will react it. Though Nuru often shows that he was more uneasy than unprepared. S-should I let them know i'm here? They probably don't know about my absence, so I would be in the clear! Oh, but it would be rude to interview with their talk...i'm sure it's important. I'll just sit here"


And he did as he said and took a few steps backwards to sit down, catch his breath and let his anxiety flow away...

Nyx had grown a bit impatient as Nuru finally arrived. “You're late, pup.” She half muttered out the entrance to the infirmary half growled. The old Tikaani had never called him by name, for when she did it brought forth memories of her mentor, but in truth no one really needed her to justify why. Nyx was after all...Nyx. “And why don't you just sleep in the apprentice den? It's gotta be more comfortable than the fox hole you’re usually in.” She spoke whilst trying to get ahold of the knuckle bones once more, but now blackened they were too hot to touch. “Peh, just leave ‘em. But now, me and you are going to Fiik Grotto, but not just for your first ceremony. I have somethings to sort out so don't get too cocky.” Passing by Brimir she softly rasped into his ear, having to raise herself upon her hind legs a bit due to her height. “Don't go too far into the forest.” Before making her way near her apprentice.

The tardy apprentice made his way into the foray. The alpha suddenly felt out of place, as now, Nyx had her job to her. It sort of irked the alpha when she called the apprentice "pup". He was 15 years of age, and certainly no pup. But, the conversation was drawing to a close. "We will speak later, Nyx, as you are leaving. The hunt must be commenced soon," Brimir spoke dismissively as he began to eye the door, "and I believe this discussion is better kept... private, if you do not mind?" Turning away from the door, the alpha departed the discussion. Although he would not admit to such opinions, certainly the first impression of Nyx's choice was certainly distasteful.


But, before he could make his way aways, he was stopped by an odd site. Brimir found himself encountered by an unlikely trio: an omega and a two hunters. One of which appeared to have been waiting outside, while the others were not too far outside. Well at least he thought so. Was there not a restriction on omegas, however, to walk freely? "What is the meaning of this? Imari, why do you walk so boldly? And Kalo, is there not a restriction on omega accompaniment? If you have different matters, Katalista, it may have to wait for a moment. The omega bounds with confidence."


"My dear alpha," Kalo responded, "I do not believe there is a restriction. I was merely walking back on my way to my den, when I saw Imari was in dire need to converse with you. The hunt is today, and I believe that he should be able to hunt. I will see to it that I remain in-"


"Kalo, a word alone. Now!" Brimir suddenly barked, and walked away from the omega. After a brief moment of silence, the duo returned. "Tell me, Imari, do you think you are worthy of a hunt? Even as omega, it is not typical to initiate a hunt with an omega."
