The softest of breezes brushed by the greenhouses that resided on the side of the castle. The beginning of the school year had just started and with it, the end of summer dawned as the fall air came to take its place. Laying in a nook between the greenhouses and the castle, Anya lay with a book placed lazily over her face as a means of blocking the unwelcome sun that attempted to ruin her nap. Her sleeves were rolled up, and her robe was being used as a makeshift pillow. She surely looked to be one of the lazier of the students at Hogwarts. And, she was at times, especially that morning. Anya opted for more sleep that morning over attending her Charms class, finding the dreadful class exhausting merely for the fact it bored her to tears.
A sound...the sound of chatter stirred her. She lifted the book from her eyes slightly, shielding them from the sun all the while, as she peered through a groggy haze to see if anyone had found her hiding spot. The voices began to dissipate after a few moments, and the tension in her back left her. She blinked her eyes a few times, waiting to make sure they were gone. She pursed her lips, despising the fact her peaceful rest had been momentarily interrupted. She adjusted her robe, fluffing it a bit before placing her head back down. She had cut off most of her hair before the school year started, so she tried to compensate for the lack of cushion she was used to. It was definitely shorter than she was used to, but it was better for the summer.
As she meticulously readjusted the book back over her eyes, she concluded that some classes must be ending and students might be making their way back to their dormitories or other classes. Maybe she should do the same, but her spot in the grass that she had claimed back in her third year was too comfortable to move from as she started to doze again.
