Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night
Well, I'm looking for an alternate universe for Harry Potter where Harry doesn't come back to life to kill Voldemort. Voldemort goes on to rule the wizarding world for 20 more years until a split in the Death Eaters causes a stir and sparks hope for the resistance that has grown ever stronger since Harry's death.
We can build upon the plot more before we start but I have posted some stuff above
I'm not picky on the lengths of the posts. I average anywhere from 1 to 3 paragraphs.
Here is a bit about my character
My character is Johnny Mal. The top Death Eater on the purge list, he is Draco's son he shortened his last name because he was ashamed of his father for not killing Dumbledore 20 years ago, the mother Lilianna died at child birth. Even though Johnny had been a superb Death Eater, his father's actions all those years ago still resonated bad feelings with the dark lord.
Johnny is as ruthless as he is cunning in his pursuit of his enemies. He does not shy away from brutal interrogation tactics and always seems to be one step ahead of the opposition. He has a stoic composure that is not lost when placed under pressure.
"Is wizardkind still mostly unknown to Muggles, or has Voldemort gained control of everyone, wizard, and Muggle, in England/Europe? "
Voldemort has a pretty tight grip in England, Europe is about half, Asia is about half North America half(rip Canada). A better way of describing it is a quarter of the Northern hemisphere. He left the conquering to a couple death eaters and they decided to play the Muggle politics game and have hit quite a few road blocks with people being voted out or killed off, not the most efficient way to conquer. It 's another cause that leads to the purge cause he hasn't conquered the world yet.
"Are the worst of the death eaters murdering, plundering, raping, depraved dark wizards? "
Very much so and being that my character is playing one of the top ranked ones, he would be considered public enemy number 2, Voldy being numeral Uno
"Is the resistance barely surviving due to how systematically and cruelly Voldemort's forces are eradicating any opposition?"
Well, in the areas he has controlled the resistance is pocketed and spread out, as for the rest of the world. Well, they don't want to get involved directly hoping that Voldemort won't conquer them if they don't cause him trouble but with the purges, the rest of the wizarding world has had a brutal awakening. The resistance in the VC(Voldemort controlled) area have very little outside communications but have heard that the rest of the world is fully united for once. That has sparked the hope for the resistance.
"how gritty and realistic do you want this setting to be? "
As close to the limit of the sites rules
