WHAT DO YOU THINK OF MUDBLOODS? "In the nicest way possible, I don't. They're wizards and witches just like any other, except maybe for cultural differences."
DO YOU BELIEVE HOGWARTS SHOULD TEACH THE DARK ARTS? "Tricky question. Yes, however it should be an exclusive class with limited students, much like Alchemy or Apparition. You can't trust firstyears and troublemakers with such dangerous magic."
WOULD YOU EVER USE AN UNFORGIVEABLE CURSE? "Perhaps, if a situation arose in which I desperately needed to."
IF YOU COULD INVENT A POTION THAT COULD GIVE YOU ANYTHING, WHAT WOULD YOU MAKE IT FOR? "If I could invent any elixir, I would concot a potion that granted you invisibility. That'd be rather useful."
DO YOU WISH TO BE REMEMBERED? IF SO, HOW? "I don't necessarily have an undying desire to be remembered after my death, although if I do achieve something grand in my lifetime I do hope I'm commemorated for it."
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE HOGWARTS SUBJECT? "I aim to master every area of magic I can, but if I had to choose one... Defence Against the Dark Arts."
WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON QUIDDITCH? DO YOU SUPPORT YOUR HOUSE TEAM? "I don't play Quidditch, however I do occasionally enjoy watching it. I support whichever team I believe has the best tactics, which sometimes may not be that of my own house."
WHAT MAGICAL SPECIES INTRIGUES YOU MOST? "I'm rather fascinated by Merpeople. They live an in an entirely different world than ours."
A MUGGLE APPROACHES YOU AND SAYS THEY ARE SURE YOU ARE A WIZARD, WHAT DO YOU DO? "Luckily, I have a few memory hexes up my sleeve that would aid me in a situation of that matter."
YOU AND YOUR HOUSE MATES ARE STROLLING THROUGH THE FOREST WHEN YOU COME FACE-TO-FACE WITH AN AGGRESSIVE TROLL. WHAT DO YOU DO? "I would do my best to use my wits to remove ourselves from the area as quickly and safely as possible."

BACKSTORY
Edras Gedriel was born an only child on the 4th of January 1978 in Birmingham, England to his Muggle mother Daphne, a non-magic veterinarian with Wizard blood in her family, and his pureblood Wizard father Rowan, a bestselling Slytherin author who's works varied from popular adventurous Wizard novels to zealous poetry. Aside from small pecurialities such as his preference of cats over humans and odd napping habits, Edras's childhood was nothing short of normal, once you disregarded the magic of course. At the age of six, Edras was enrolled in a private Muggle school, but switched to homeschooling not even two weeks into the second semester after his apparent distaste for authority and habit of skipping class to chase frogs around the courtyard surfaced. Funnily enough, though he'd never completed a single sheet of homework and was more absent than present, Edras's reading and writing levels surpassed those expected of a Year 1.

Some called him a prodigy, some a nuisance, either way Edras wasn't interested in Muggles and wanted to start with magic right away.

He was assigned a tutor by the name of Hugh Passmore, a recent 19 year old graduate from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and the younger brother of an old friend of Rowan's from his schoolyears. They started with the very basics, going to Diagon Alley and purchasing his wand along with a few beginner textbooks, they studied Herbology and Magical Creatures, but when it came to spell-casting, Hugh was hesitant to encourage so much magic on such a small child, but that didn't stop Edras. By the age of eight, he had already mastered the fundamentals of charms and memorized a few potion recipes. Though all areas of magic intrigued Edras, simple boring charms didn't excite him. What truly attracted his attention, were the Dark Arts.

After his lessons with Hugh, droning on about Muggle studies and history, Edras would hide in his father's library and sneak a read into his books about black magic. Fascinated by the concept of it, he began trying to cast hexes by himself, though failing terribly almost every time. That didn't stop him from trying however, until he'd nearly destroyed all room furniture and been close to setting his entire house on fire several times. At one point his outrageous behavior became so hazardous and chaotic, that his father took away his wand and forbid him from using it until the beginning of his first year at Hogwarts. His tutoring with Hugh stopped and he was no longer allowed to see him, and he enrolled in a public Muggle school from Year 3 to Year 4. As expected, he excelled in all his classes and exams, but lacked greatly in social competence and withdrew himself from his classmates.

Proceeding his two gruelling years of Muggle school, Edras received his long awaited acceptance letter to Hogwarts! The first year was however, rougher than he'd expected.

Despite being sorted into a house where supposedly he'd be surrounded by those with similiar personalities to him, Edras found that he was virtually completely different to the majority of Ravenclaws. Sure, they shared mutual intelligence and a passion for learning, and sometimes even wit, but his colleagues were greatly motivated, obedient students, whilst Edras was admittedly horribly lazy and only focused on what he found to be interesting and brushed off what those with power over him demanded from him if it didn't meet his appeal. His dismissal of jurisdiction didn't get him far, and after being warned for his behavior, Edras realized if he wanted to practice magic, he'd have to buckle down for a few years and do as he was told. At least, for the most part.

Shortly after the first few months of school, his mother became ill.

Fast-growing brain tumor was her diagnosis, glioblastoma to be specific, a term that neither him nor his father comprehended, but they were well aware, she didn't have much time left to live. The doctors gave her ten months, at most. In the following weeks, Rowan searched desperately for a medicine or a type of therapy that would cure her, but nothing that they tried would work, and so he turned to the only thing he did understand. Magic. With every holiday that Edras came back home, he would see his mother being fed potions, having life-extending spells casted on her, enduring hour long rituals that would supposedly heal her, not because she wanted it, but because her husband did, and each time she would be paler, sicker, quieter. After almost two years, she begged Rowan to quit with the draining everyday routine of trying to cast life back into her and just let her go. But Rowan would not listen.

During the winter holidays of Edras's second year, he arrived home to find that his father would be leaving for a few days on a mandatory book tour and gave him instructions on the potions he was leaving that would continue keeping Daphne alive for the time that he would be gone. But when he came back three days later, Daphne was dead and his son sat next to her body in their bedroom. Rowan was furious, devastated, enraged. He accused Edras of slithering back into his obsession with the Dark Arts upon finding an empty potion bottle filled with poison that had undoubtedly killed his wife, sitting on her nightstand. He burned his posessions and banished him from his home, and just like that, Edras was disowned.

In the following days, Edras wound up in a foster home and after a few phone calls, his aunt Orelia, his mother's witch sister, agreed to take legal custody and move him into her small home in Ipswich.

He didn't talk much, if at all. Throughout the summer break before his third year, despite Orelia's desperate attempts to get the truth out of him about what happened to her beloved sister, he would not speak, until a mere few days before the start of the new schoolyear when he came to her one night whilst smoking a cigarette in her garden. He told her all about his fathers hopeless efforts to keep Daphne alive as long as humanly possible even if it went against her own wishes, he told her about the night she begged him to let her go whilst her soul was still there, he told her about the potion he concoted for his dear mother, to let her pass in the most peaceful, painless way possible, and lastly, he told her how gently she held his hand before she was gone.

They never spoke of it again.

Though Edras would never be the same, and though he wasn't sure if he forgave himself for what he did, or if he had even done anything wrong, in his third year he befriended an odd Hufflepuff by the name of Flint Rajorie after forgetting to fill out their elective forms and being dumped in the class with the lowest numbers, Divination. Through him, he befriended his sister Bathsheba, or as he called her, 'Batsy', and from that point on, Hogwarts became just that little bit better.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF MUDBLOODS? "I think everyone should advocate strongly to abolish the segregation of Pureblood and Muggleborn wizards. It's a disgrace."
DO YOU BELIEVE HOGWARTS SHOULD TEACH THE DARK ARTS? "I figure it'd be interesting, but I'm aware many would use it for the wrong reasons, so I'll have to say no."
WOULD YOU EVER USE AN UNFORGIVEABLE CURSE? "No, never. There's a reason they're called unforgiveable."
IF YOU COULD INVENT A POTION THAT COULD GIVE YOU ANYTHING, WHAT WOULD YOU MAKE IT FOR? "Hm... I'd love to make a potion that makes vegetables tastes like sweets. That'd be fantastic."
DO YOU WISH TO BE REMEMBERED? IF SO, HOW? "I reckon if anyone ever does remember me they'll refer to me as that girl with no hair. Doesn't bother me either way, I'll be dead."
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE HOGWARTS SUBJECT? "I love magic in general, but I'll have to go with magical creatures and how to care for them. Oh, and flying!"
WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON QUIDDITCH? DO YOU SUPPORT YOUR HOUSE TEAM? "I love Quidditch, it's one of the best things about Hogwarts. Of course, who else would I support? I am after all a Chaser."
WHAT MAGICAL SPECIES INTRIGUES YOU MOST? "I think Goblins are quite funny."
A MUGGLE APPROACHES YOU AND SAYS THEY ARE SURE YOU ARE A WIZARD, WHAT DO YOU DO? "I dunno, I'd probably pretend to be deaf or something."
YOU AND YOUR HOUSE MATES ARE STROLLING THROUGH THE FOREST WHEN YOU COME FACE-TO-FACE WITH AN AGGRESSIVE TROLL. WHAT DO YOU DO? "I suppose the best tactic would be to distract it or cast some kind of spell that gives us all of us enough time to get to safety. Nobody gets left behind."

BIO
Batsheba Rajorie was a sunflower if her Pureblood family ever knew one, her parents Sereia and Mortimer and their eldest son Faerwald, though later nicknamed Flint, were blessed with a bright smiling face the day she was born, October 18th 1979 in Aberfeldy, Scotland.

Batsy was a joyful child, perhaps even abnormally so, there was never a moment she wasn't running around the house chasing her older brother or hiding in the kitchen cupboards, giggling to herself. Batsy and Flint's brother and sisterly friendship resulted in them spending the majority of their time together, not noticing the absence of their father who worked at a Muggle school they would soon be enrolled in, whilst their mother labored away in the Ministry of Magic. Though the pair were hesitant to have their Wizard and Witch children in the presence of Muggles, risking them casting magic, at the very least Mortimer could keep an eye out on them.

A little over a year went by and the waters had remained calm, that was until the Slytherin side of their family, Sereia's relatives, decided that the Rajorie's parenting decisions weren't fit for a Pureblood family, and if they wouldn't change it according to their plans, they would do so themselves.

After an incident at Aberfeldy Local Primary School, Flint and Batsy's mother received a telephone call at the Ministry, informing her that her husband had been arrested by the Wizard police for casting a patronus charm in front of a class of Muggle students. Upon arriving at her sister's house where her children were residing, it was revealed that a monster of some kind had somehow found its way to the primary school grounds and Mortimer had cast magic to protect the children, but the Ministry didn't hear excuses, and a court date was set whilst the town of Aberfeldy roared and gushed about the class of younglings who accused their maths teacher of secretly being a Wizard.

To the Rajorie's luck, Flint and Batsy had noticed Sereia's elder sister in the school courtyard with her wand concealed under coat just before their maths lesson began, and as a result of a truth spell in court, their aunt confessed and sentenced to prison after their father's release. The chaos was, however, far from over. In the weeks following, the folk of Aberfeldy pointed fingers at the Rajorie family, accusing them of witchcraft, and they quickly went from being cherished citizens of the community to unwelcomed strangers. They had no choice but to flee their pastoral haven and so began their new lives.

The next few years would be a great big jumble of moving houses, switching schools and constantly meeting new people that ultimately Batsy would only know for a few weeks, or months at most, before moving on to the next place. This was also in the time that Mortimer began working as a teacher at Hogwarts, and the absence of their parents, accompanied with the constant change, made for a difficult time for the Rajorie kids. Batsy, being the ray of sunshine that she'd always been, easily befriended her classmates wherever she went, if she wasn't outside playing with her neighbors she would be inside with her ferret Radagast (though she questioned why her parents had allowed her to have a pet whilst her older brother was forbidden from doing so). Flint struggled, and Batsy saw that, and though he encouraged her to spend time with her colleagues, her brother would always be her best friend.

Eventually the time came that Flint received his letter from Hogwarts, and soon enough, he was gone.

Though she'd always had a large friend group, Batsy became incredibly sad in the empty house, and instead of overcoming her loneliness, she spent the next year cooped up in their library with Radagast, filling her brain with books about magical creatures and how to care for them and the sport 'Quidditch' she'd heard so much about. She was thrilled to begin Hogwarts the following year and be reunited with her brother. Walking into the Sorting Hat ceremony, Batsheba was certain that she'd be sorted into Hufflepuff, both her father and her brother's house. Slytherin seemed unlikely, but when the hat blurted Gryffindor, her heart sank, and judging by the expression on Flint's face, so did his.

In her first year however, it became apparent why she had been put in Gryffindor and her classmates, as expected, adored her. Consistently getting House Points and becoming a Chaser on the Quidditch team in her second year, Batsy fit in perfectly in her house, and she'd never been happier, especially seeing her brother cheering her on in the Gryffindor stands during Quidditch games with his newfound best friend, a Ravenclaw named Edras, who she would also soon come to befriend through their bond.

Now in her fourth year, Batsy is starting to realize that there is a darker side to Hogwarts that she's yet to discover.

if i can't bend heaven. . .
For her entire childhood, Lola Caspian was born with the pressure to uphold her family name and the constant overshadowing of her older brother, Max. At the age three when she drew her first picture of a happy family, made out of basic shapes and colors and instead of giving her a pat on the back, Lola's parents told her to "ask her brother for help next time" and continued on with their lives. At the age of nine, Lola was casted as the lead ballerina at her dance school, yet as she kept about in her pink tutu, Lola was trying to blink back the angry tears that kept forming in her eyes every time she glanced at the empty seats her parents were suppose to fill. Yet Lola was dragged to every quidditch game her brother had, she watch out of bitter hatred as her brother earned Prefect while she sat next to her parents who glowed with pride for their son. It was at that moment Lola didn't need anyone.

Lola's parents cared enough about their reputation to send their daughter to Hogwarts however, the school was always first pick for the high class family and Lola was going to be no exception. It was clear that Lola was going to be sorted into Slytherin once she arrived; it was probably the only time she made her parents pleased. From the moment she entered the school grounds, Lola didn't plan to fuck around when it came to popularity. She scared her peers with her quiet and deadly looks while finding other, more naive kids to do her bidding. She worked hard at her grades and never attended a single quidditch out of bitterness. By the time she was in fourth year, Lola was considered a force to be reckoned.

There was once a rumour that Lola was born with emotions but that's not true, she just had them removed.

What do you think of Mudbloods?
- i think the same thing every reasonable person does: they're students. it doesn't matter what heritage they come from, as a majority of my house rudely disagrees with. magic is magic, simple as that.

Do you believe Hogwarts should teach the Dark Arts?
-
yes, they should. just because a subject is morally questionable doesn't mean we should limit students to the subject. anything can be abused- it just depends on the person.

Would you ever use an Unforgiveable Curse?
-
no, why would i ever need to use something to that extreme? i don't believe that any situation requires an unforgivable curse.

If you could invent a potion that could give you anything, what would you make it for?
-
huh. well, that opens up a lot of possibilities. i would probably invent a potion for exam taking. it wouldn't be cheating for say, it would just be a little... enhancement.

Do you wish to be remembered? If so, how?
-
doesn't everyone wish to be remembered? i would, for certain. i definitely would like to be remembered as someone who has done good for this world. maybe open up a orphanage for young wizards or something.

What is your favorite Hogwarts subject?
-
astronomy, probably. i think stars are pretty cool.

What is your opinion on Quidditch? Do you support your house team?
-
well, the fact that i play the seeker for should answer your question. i would probably be kicked off if i didn't support my own team.

What magical species intrigues you most?
-
merpeople, for sure. they're cool as hell, but i wouldn't want to have any tea breaks with them.

A muggle approaches you and says they are sure you are a wizard, what do you do?
- i would laugh, and then walk away. if i stayed i'd probably ramble on too much and accidentally reveal everything about hogwarts - best to leave before i got arrested by the ministry, ya know?

You and your house mates are strolling through the forest when you come face-to-face with an aggressive troll. What do you do?
-
maybe we would attempt to fight it if we were in immediate danger, but as soon as things got out of hand, it would be time to book it out of the forest and report it to the staff. it would be too embarrassing to die to a troll, anyway.

history:

BIOGRAPHY:

there is always something appealing about you when you're the youngest child.

at least that's what regina and ken hugo appeared to believe when they had their daughter in may 27th of 1978.

being born just two years after her brother, it wasn't a surprise that the two siblings became close despite the constant coddling their parents would shove on kinsley during her growing years. always the special little girl to her parents, kinsley would get sick and tired of their attention and run off to the beach and chat among the local fishermen. due to this and her father, kinsley had adapted a kind and sympathetic view towards muggles. this view has rubbed off during her years at hogwarts, where she would get into scuffles with a few of the purebred slytherins who rubbed her the wrong way.

while both her and carter were both born magical, there was little tension trying to keep their secret under wraps in such a small area. thanks to their mother, the two were able to learn about the wizarding world comfortably in their home while enjoying their lives peacefully out in their small town. they lived in a kind area- everyone knew each other in aberystwyth. only few in the area were actually wizards and witches, keeping to themselves and only offering up the siblings lessons on weekends. quaint brick houses lined the fields and tidy shops were available around every corner, and both kinsley and coner leaned to work as a community.

while carter had a natural inclination for his gift, kinsley was slower in learning the basics from her mother. this didn't worry her mother much, as kinsley was still bright and excited to learn a new lesson every day.

it wasn't until the death of regina during an unfortunate robbery that kinsley became the quiet child of the family. reserved, obedient, distraught- while her brother went off and became one of the most popular kids in hogwarts.

much to her fathers dismay, she never recovered from her sour attitude on life until she was enlisted into hogwarts. everything seemed to clear up for her the moment she had her first wand in her hands, staring up at ollivander with wide eyes and a ear-splitting grin. she was finally leaving her small, cramped town, and heading off to a new place. she could still recount the stories her brother would adamantly act out after he returned from his first year. telling her about the famous wizard named harry potter who visited hogwarts during her first train ride to the school, her new grey owl's cage clutched to her chest.

as she sat on the stool, she could see her brother sitting at the hufflepuff section with a smile on his face already imagining herself in a yellow tie, talking to all the kind wizards and witches-

and then she got sorted into slytherin.

she and carter were both in shock- regina's family had always been sorted into hufflepuff.

it didn't matter though. what's done is done, and by the end of her first year kinsley got over her resentment and eventually learned to love her house. she was influenced by her peers, getting rid of her sickly sweet innocence and swapping it out for a more sarcastic and humorous personality- and as her social skills improved, and so did her magic. she stuck with a small group of slytherins and hufflepuffs during her first couple years, and once third year came around, she was selected in being the seeker for slytherin. by the end of fourth year kinsley was excitingly picked as co-captain along with her new friend, xavier peregrine. both became close, connecting through a familiar sport despite their vast differences, with no one having been enough of a challenge to kick her or xavier from their positions. kinsley couldn't deny the fact that the both of them worked well together, and in result grew to admire and form a small crush on her friend during their fourth year. she knew that it won't go anywhere, instead brushing it off as a feeling of respect towards xavier and shrugging off her puppy-dog view of boys. she's perfectly fine sticking to working side by side with him on the field, anyway.

while kinsley was good at sports, there was no denying that the young girl struggled with school work. despite her love for education and her brothers solid reputation, kinsley wasn't the brightest kid in hogwarts. her biggest struggles were her inability to memorize for tests or exams, mulling over books for hours and going away without a single lesson stuck in her head. professors, knowing full well the capabilities of the hugo family, would be frustrated by her lack of studying and lowered grades. her street smarts, on the other hand, were stronger then ever. she was able to think of a solution quicker then most of her peers, her ability to stay calm during stressful situations making her a necessary key partner in defense against the dark arts lessons. her knack for riddles has made her the honorary dorm room opener for slytheirn.

everything was going well. kinsley was happy and thriving here at hogwarts, and the peace has luckily kept its hold for the past five years she's attended.

she just hopes that it stays that way.

What do you think of Mudbloods?
- they're fine by me. we're not exactly pureblood either, so who am i do judge?

Do you believe Hogwarts should teach the Dark Arts?
-
sure, gotta learn how to fight evil with evil in order to help with the greater good.

Would you ever use an Unforgiveable Curse?
-
depends on who it's directed to, and if i knew how to use it properly.

If you could invent a potion that could give you anything, what would you make it for?
-
a potion that could invent anything, huh? don't think that's necessary, i'm sure we already have every fucking potion out there imagineable.

Do you wish to be remembered? If so, how?
-
yeah, i want to be remembered. preferably on the good side of history. though, if that doesn't happen, i at least want to go out in a kick-ass way.

What is your favorite Hogwarts subject?
-
transfiguration- whats better then turning into a giant whomping willow and scaring the shit out of your house during potions?

What is your opinion on Quidditch? Do you support your house team?
-
it's not my favorite thing, but i do enjoy being beater and letting out tension during a game. as for our house team- well, there's a reason hufflepuff never wins.

What magical species intrigues you most?
-
dragons. i fucking love dragons.

A muggle approaches you and says they are sure you are a wizard, what do you do?
don't even get my started on this. i already have a full conspiracy theory created in case this ever happens to me- i would disagree, and then go hours and hours into made up shit that would only confuse the muggle after i left. gotta keep up that air of mystery, you know?

You and your house mates are strolling through the forest when you come face-to-face with an aggressive troll. What do you do?
-
gonna be honest, i would probably bet one of my friends to try to take the troll down. if things got out of hand, then we would definitely leave.

BIOGRAPHY:

born january 7th in the year 1976, carter was the first child of regina and ken hugo. the boy was quietly raised in the small town of aberystwyth, wales, where his family enjoyed their life outside of the busy world. a wizard couldn't tell from first glance, but there was an air of magic around the family hidden behind friendly smiles and baked goods. regina was, after all, a witch. her husband on the other hand- that's a different story. they both met right after regina graduated hogwarts and returned to her hometown in aberystwyth while ken was visiting family to take a break from his job in journalism. quick to fall in love, the two of them settled down and lived normal lives in the normal world. regina wasn't very keen to stay in the magical realm, so it took a few years before she revealed the truth to her partner. shocked and confused, it took months for ken and regina to adjust to this new reality. they were both hesitant to bring children into the world- how would they raise them with such vastly different backgrounds? it was only after regina contacted some old friends from hogwarts and visited their new family that she changed her mind about children, and two months later, carter hugo was born into the world.

it wasn't long before the couple realized their kid was a wizard. it happened when carter was only two, when during a small fishing trip the couple was flabbergasted when their catch began to float in mid-air. right next to the poor fish was carter, laughing joyously and clapping and the fish fell back down into the cooler. the couple shared a look, realizing how difficult the next few years of their lives would be. they didn't have to worry that much, though, as carter grew up to be a very disciplined and very talented wizard. despite his mother's reluctance with her eagerness to attend hogwarts, there still wasn't any any doubt that he was going to be enrolled by the time he was of age. that, and with the birth of his younger sister kinsley a few months after he turned two, the family was essentially destined to continue on the wizarding line. the two siblings grew close, but it was obvious that carter had a stronger connection to magic then kinsley did. that didn't stop either of them from getting accepted into hogwarts, and right after he turned eleven, carter boarded the train and excitingly waved his family goodbye.

it was no shock that the boy was accepted into hufflepuff. the hugo family was notorious for their long lasting line of badgers.

and so began his seven year long career to becoming a wizard. the boy was immediately liked by the majority of his house- they found him humorous, smart, and even friendly, something that his sister would scoff at once he came back from his first year. the professors at school were impressed by his natural talent and his excelling grades, and by the end of his first year he was selected as beater for his house. everything was going almost too perfect for him, and he could see the proud look in his parents eyes when he returned home from the summer.

though, his life was put on hold during the summer after his first year.

people claimed it was a freak accident. his mother was at the wrong place and at the wrong time. his father stated during a police report that she had went out to simply get some eggs when the robber came in and shot her in a fit of panic.

carter mourned, of course. that was what sane people did. but by the time second year rolled around, he was ready to leave and head back to hogwarts. continue his happy life and block out the events that happened in june. while carter was quick to recover, it seemed that the tragedy really took a toll on his sister. he couldn't help but feel devastated- kinsley wasn't heading to hogwarts until another year. he left her and his father to mourn, but he was sure to make it up once his sister enrolled. it was an understanding that kinsley would be sorted into the same house as him, such as the rest of regina's family line was. so it was understandable when carter's jaw dropped to the floor when the sorting hat called out slytherin when kinsley placed it on her head.

they managed to work things out despite the unusual mishap. the two still took time to hang out together, but it was understood that their bond wasn't as strong as it used to be. so, the two lived their own lives, grew their own reputation, and carter became one of the most popular kids in school.

the hufflepuff practically soared his way to the top of the social latter. carter's inept for social situations has always made him approachable and easy to talk to. every girl ( and some boys ) wanted him, everybody wanted to be him- he was charming, intelligent, open about his life. though, with his air of popularity, there were others who were bound to disliked him. for those who didn't know carter, they might see him as arrogant, snobbish- jock would be a good word. despite all of this, many knew him to be a team worker. if someone was to give him a task, he would complete it. professors enjoyed his hard work and relaxed composure, sometimes even comparing him to his sister. though before they would continue, carter would politely tell them to stop. he still loved his sister, after all. their vast differences weren't going to change that.

currently, carter is attending his final year at hogwarts. after he graduates, he plans to move to bulgaria and train with dragons.

BACKSTORY
Xavier Peregrine's story starts in the chaotic bumble of Ireland's capital city, Dublin. Despite being born with wizard blood on the 27th of July 1978, Xavier was brought up by lower-class Muggle parents Alannah and Redmond Peregrine, a couple who did freelance photography and other business, along with his three other Wizard siblings, and later a Muggle baby.

Xavier was born as a result of his eldest brother Cristobal being accepted into Hogwarts, overjoyed at the discovery of having a Wizard in the family, their family urged Cristobal to come back from his first year with spells and potions to relieve them of their financial worries and give them the life of luxury they had always dreamed of, whilst bringing up their second Wizard child Aofie, and preparing themselves for the next two to come, Leonidas and Xavier. The more magic they could fathom in their family, the more riches they would make! In due time, Aofie began attending the Wizarding school as well, whilst Alannah and Redmond grew impatient to accquire their much awaited wealth.

During the holidays when the two eldest would come to visit, the worn-down tiny house would overflow with arguments and fights and despite how many times the children would proclaim to their parents that performing magic outside the school grounds was prohibited, they persisted, guilt-tripping them with stories of suffering and hunger. After several occurences of breaking Wizard law for the sake of their parents wishes and scholarly struggles, unable to submerge themselves in the world of magic with the stress that accompanied them, Cristobal and Aofie were both expelled from Hogwarts, Cristobal in his fifth year and Aofie in her third.

Alannah and Redmond were devastated, but they continued with their lives and their crimes of robbery and pickpocketing to support themselves, awaiting the day that their third child receive his acceptance letter. Magic however, was not Leonidas's passion in life. He had grown up with a regular, non-Wizard life, attending Muggle school, making Muggle friends and living in a world that didn't have flying broomsticks and wooden wands, he was happy with where he was and most definitely did not wish to go to Hogwarts, but was ultimately forced to.

It wasn't long before the Peregrine's received a call from the Headmistress that Leonidas had received the same fate as his siblings, due to failing all his exams, fooling around in class, destroying property, constantly skipping and never showing up to detention. Xavier and the newborn Octavio were now the only hope their family had left.

Xavier himself, had been mostly neglected by his parents for the majority of his life, only given a moments attention when discussing his Wizard brothers and sister or after picking wallets from strangers purses to have enough cash to buy the family dinner. Before Leonidas had been shipped away to Hogwarts, he and Xavier were unseperable, the best of friends, and quite literally, partners in crime. They stuck together in the most difficult of times and did everything they could to provide for their parents, no matter the cost. Family always came first, even though the two knew perfectly well that they were only there for their blood, and if they turned out to be Muggles, their parents wouldn't hesitate to disown them. Though Leonidas resented being born a Wizard and his other two siblings seemingly had no interest in Magic, Xavier was highly intrigued by the Wizarding World. He'd lived eleven years in a brutal, unforgiving world where he'd had to resort to stealing and picking food out of garbage containers to survive, and the idea of living in a castle with hundreds of others like him, excited him.

The reality however, was less thrilling than he'd expected.

His first year, was a complete disaster, and it all started with the house he was sorted into. Being a Muggleborn Slytherin was hard enough, but the real challenege came when he realized that every teacher knew exactly who he was, and was waiting for the day that he was inevitably expelled. Isolated by his house mates with no friends, set out for failure by his teachers and losing a piece of his identity admist the abandonment, Xavier still relented. He wasn't the brightest bulb in the box and having had spent all his money on a wand with nothing remaining for textbooks, he spent most of the school semesters copying pages from others and carrying countless wrinkled up papers in his ripped up bag and hand-me-down robes. Typical Peregrine.

His second year was no better, struggling to keep up with his classes and refusing to go back home to his family out of fear that they would ask the same from him as they did his siblings. Continously he'd be told that there was no reason for him to be there at all, that it was only a matter of time, that he had no future with Magic. At first, the comments stung, but after years of going through the same thing every day, his skin got thicker, and he developed a dry sense of humor along with an indominable will that pulled him through the last of his second year, and the beginning of his third.

That was when everything changed.

Upon discovering Quidditch and an open spot on the Team as a Beater, Xavier immediately applied. Having had spent so many years as a kid playing various sports with older middle school kids and having a knack for intuition and human observation, the Slytherin team was hesitant to accept a Mudblood, but his talent was undeniable, and a little help from a certain Kinsley Hugo didn't hurt. The two Slytherins had little to nothing in common, coming from completely different families and backgrounds, but that didn't matter, Kinsley was the first person who'd accepted Xavier despite being Muggleborn, and through bonding through Quidditch and eventually becoming duo-captains of the team, they became close friends.

To this day Xavier is still looked down on by his teachers and his grades haven't exactly gotten much better, but he's determined to stay in Hogwarts, not to prove his teachers wrong, or his siblings, or his parents, rather he is there for him, and to build a life that he can be proud of for himself.

BIO
august 8th, 1978; here begun a short time in flint's life where he was special. a time in which he was not 'flint', he was 'faerwald darien'; firstborn son and prodigy child of two magnificent wizards. as a youngling he was vocal and curious, thought to become a brilliant, unorthodox thinker like his father. sereia said he'd be a star chaser as they shared the same dark, sincere eyes. mortimer and his wife agreed that, perhaps, he'd become both in the hopeful years to come.

he was cherished, coddled. so one can imagine that this spoiled toddler was not happy when his sister, bathsheba, was born.

during pregnancy, sereia bought flint baby dolls for training and companionship— each one would up with it's hair singed off or a limb missing. some of them still haven't been found and are likely buried in the veggie garden of their childhood home in aberfeldy.

but dolls were nothing like the real thing. flint first met bathsheba a few days after she was born and there was no fire or dismemberment, only awe.

they grew from infants to toddlers; toddlers to children and children to best friends, as all siblings should. their childhood was a warm, blissful time that flint remembers as magnificent sunshowers and the tasty marshmallow at the bottom of a mug of malt chocolate. flint and batsy spent much of the day with their mother while mortimer maintained a nine-till-five job as a mathematics teacher at a muggle school.

days fell away like the fine, golden crystals in a sandtimer and soon enough their eldest had reached schooling age. his parents were hesitant to send flint because of the risk of him casting accidental wandless magic, but sereia needed to return to work and the children were still too young to stay at home unsupervised. at school mortimer could keep an eye on them, at least.

sereia's family dissaproved of this. they'd always turned their nose up at mortimer with scorn, ever-so-politely for their sister's sake, and kept their gaze on the greater picture. they were above the simple muggle grind, but there was only so much disgrace they would allow in their tree. they wouldn't let their niece and nephew be brainwashed by muggle culture and, god forbid, bring that garble to hogwarts and spew it onto their dear cousins.

something had to be done, and so it was.

on most days, sereia would be grateful for a phone call that would allow her abandon all paperwork and come home early. but not like this. apparently her husband had been arrested for casting wand based magic to defend his muggle class from an alleged monster. her children were safe and in the care of her elder sister, but mortimer had been exposed as a wizard. the news spread like wildfire through the small, pastoral community of aberfeldy but there was very little that local police could do without concrete evidence. few sane sane adults would believe a pack of younglings gushing about their mathematics teacher being a secret wizard and defeating a monster with a stick.

aberfeldy would forgot, but the ministry could not.

thankfully, the case did not last long as young flint and batsy were able to name the relative they had seen on school grounds the day that the monster was released. the wrongdoing was confessed with the aid of a truth spell and mortimer was able to walk free, but the relative, sereia's elder sister, was penalised.

in the weeks following, the smallfolk of aberfeldy grew skeptical. they accused mortimer of supernatural witchcraft, and he descended from being a respected and cherished member of the community to an unwelcome stranger. he was fired while flint and batsy were alienated by their peers. with conditins only worsening, the rajorie family fled their pastoral haven and so began their new lives.

the next few years were a strange transitional period. flint's naivity was beginning to crack and he was learning that it was not a normal thing to be a wizard. fantasy play-pretend on the basketball court would end disastrously when he'd accidentally cast wandless magic and his family would have to uproot and leave town again. when he was ten he started to realise what a nuisance it was. he was being taught to hide, to conceal his magic. he didn't want to be a wizard, he wanted to play soccer at school and become a pilot. or a vet, or a rockstar. but wizards aren't rockstars and he'd never have the mundane life he wanted.

flint began to push away from his parents and their tales and promises of the magic land. his father began to work at hogwarts around this time so he was not home as much. flint had grown so accustomed to moving that he didn't bother to make friends, he'd just pester his little sister (who seemed to be fairing much better with her social life than him, always.) they moved too often to own pets so flint kept and cared for a small succulent. this would later stem into an overwhelming knowledge of (and respect for) plantlife.

he wasn't too upset or excited when he received his letter for hogwarts, just indifferent. he'd grown into a very passive, go-with-the-flow type, and was almost relieved to know he was going to stay in place for some time. he didn't have much he held dear in his life aside from the one thing he couldn't take with him; his younger sister.

his first year was much alike any other after that. he was terrible at magic and only seemed to be able to cast charms and spells at rare, inconvenient moments. astronomy was overwhelming and his attention span was too short for history of magic; flint was pulling lackluster grades from all classes aside from herbology, which he'd pour his heart and soul into. no other students, even the ditzy and eccentric hufflepuffs, shared his passion for plants.

it didn't help that mortimer taught at the school and would hound flint for his poor grades and poorer attitude. mortimer knew that his son was capable of more, he just wasn't trying. he'd urge flint to join co-curricular clubs and take up quidditch, but his son would only yawn and ask about life back home. how's mum? how's the soccer? their relationship was forced and they were both holding back on speaking their minds. their relationship grew tenuous.

flint was so relieved to go home for his first holiday, quietly. he was beginning to realise how much he valued his family. batsy would be starting next year and flint didn't have any helpful advice. the year had been a total blur. he'd made very few friends and stuck to a reserved ravenclaw boy, mayweather vieuxpont, mostly because he'd do flint's work for him and was too quiet to be annoying. their friendship would be short lived as flint's crass nonchalance was doomed to clash with mayweather's sensitivity.

batsy was sorted into gryffindoor. flint was bummed out, but not surprised. he couldn't follow her around forever.

he wouldn't have a good friend for another year. after failing to hand in his elective forms, flint was shunt into divination because it had the smallest numbers. here he would meet edras, someone he'd seen in the dining hall and in few classes, but never imagined talking to him. through a mutual hatred of the class, flint discovered they are much more alike than he'd thought.

around about this time he became more confident. instead of lurking in the hufflepuff stands to watch his sister's quidditch games he'd sit with the gryffindoors. you're more likely to see him at the lake or hogsmeade than in the hufflepuff common room-- even class.

over the five years he's spent at hogwarts, flint has built a reputation for himself as a slacker and a troublemaker. he's far from respected, but likeable.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF MUDBLOODS? “I don’t really pay much attention to what blood someone may be of..... as long as you’ve got magic pumping through your veins with it, that’s what makes you a wizard, I think. Is that how it works?” Mayweather glances around for reassurance.
DO YOU BELIEVE HOGWARTS SHOULD TEACH THE DARK ARTS? “No, no- there’s no reason for something purely harmful at nature to just be casually at hand- it’s like strapping a bomb to each hall of Hogwarts and placing the detonator in plain sight; someone’s bound to press the button. I mean, it’s called dark magic. The name is literally a warning- it’s not called ‘good’ magic or ‘positive’ magic or ‘totally-okay-to-use-go-for-it’ magic. Labels exist for a reason so you don’t poison yourself or cut your finger or open the door to any idiot with a wand to unleash a lethal curse across Hogwarts.” He spoke so fast, it seems like he may have said it all in one breath. When it comes to certain topics, Mayweather can rant on and on until someone stops him.
WOULD YOU EVER USE AN UNFORGIVEABLE CURSE? No.” Just the hypothetical thought is enough to raise his blood pressure.
IF YOU COULD INVENT A POTION THAT COULD GIVE YOU ANYTHING, WHAT WOULD YOU MAKE IT FOR? “Perhaps just... better magic skills? Just- in general?” Mayweather is incredibly knowledgeable about everything surrounding magic, it’s just the execution part that he struggles with.
DO YOU WISH TO BE REMEMBERED? IF SO, HOW? “Remembered? If I were to be remembered, I’d want it to be for... maybe publishing my collection of magical studies. Not my current chicken scratch notes, but a collection of new information to bring to the table; something people could read and learn from and use to better their understanding of magic.”
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE HOGWARTS SUBJECT? “Astronomy, for sure. When you really look into it, you feel so incredibly small... I guess for some it may be a feeling of unimportance, but I see it as if I’m a drop of water inside a body of water that goes on in all directions for an infinite amount of miles. Once I- or uh, the drop, if you will- comes into the world- or the lake- it causes a ripple. And that ripple causes all the droplets surrounding it- or me- to budge. When those droplets budge, it pushes every droplet surrounding that one, and every droplet surrounding the second one, and so on. Every action you take or decision you make causes a ripple in the water, and so many ripples are happening at once, slightly pushing us in different directions in ways that we may not even notice or understand- in ways that aren’t even comprehendible-“ Mayweather carries on, speaking with hand motions and looking off into different directions to collect his thoughts. His face holds a soft grin with a sense of bewilderment. “Wait what was the question? Oh right- well- basically, I love Astronomy because the idea of a forever-expanding space that we live in is so amazing to me and sparks so many questions and is extremely confusing but- like- in a really really good way.”
WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON QUIDDITCH? “It’s terrifying ohmygod- I sit in the stands and I can’t even watch. It gives me secondhand anxiety to just look at how dangerous it is, I mean- what if you fall? You could literally break your spine and die; your broom could go flying off into the audience, which can be almost equally lethal. When I watch quidditch all I want to do is run them all a bath and bandage them up and clean their uniforms- just the sight of them covered in dirt and sweat is a heart attack in and of itself.”
DO YOU SUPPORT YOUR HOUSE TEAM? “I obviously don’t support the game itself, but I support my house every chance I get. If it means sitting in the stands biting my nails off....” He shrugs with his arms up.
WHAT MAGICAL SPECIES INTRIGUES YOU MOST? “I can’t quite think of one that really strikes a chord with me, I suppose....” He tries to play it off casually, but his tone and demeanor obviously denote that he’s uncomfortable. The truth is that they scare the shit out of him. He already keeps his distance from normal animals, so you can only imagine his reaction to unpradictable magical creatures.
A MUGGLE APPROACHES YOU AND SAYS THEY ARE SURE YOU ARE A WIZARD, WHAT DO YOU DO? “Panic? Hide?? I’m not really sure what I would do, oh god-“ His brows furrow as he tries to sort out a plan in his head, just in case that does actually happen.
YOU AND YOUR HOUSE MATES ARE STROLLING THROUGH THE FOREST WHEN YOU COME FACE-TO-FACE WITH AN AGGRESSIVE TROLL. WHAT DO YOU DO? “I don’t know; it depends who I’m with, how deep in the forest I am, if anyone with me is well-equipped... God, I hate hypotheticals.”
MORAL ALIGNMENT Lawful Good.
WAND Cedar wood, unicorn hair core, 14”, brittle flexibility.

BIO If Mayweather didn't have his father's nose and his mother's eyes, you'd think they were complete strangers. Mayweather was the product of two good apples gone bad; they met at Hogwarts in their seventh year, bonded over how shitty and demanding their rich parents are, told off their parents as soon as they graduated, then proceeded to spend their twenties living in a number of different vans and shitty overcrowded apartments, killing off their brain cells with weed and shrooms and alcohol. Once they both hit the big 28 and Cassidy's stomach started growing, they realized it was time to get their shit together. Mayweather was raised by a pair of hippies who set now boundaries, gave no rules or guidelines, and basically just let him do whatever he wanted. Most children would take this freedom and run with it; go be as reckless as possible. It had quite the opposite effect on Mayweather. It felt more like he was fending for himself than free to live life however he wanted, because he was only a toddler. He didn't know how he wanted to live his life yet, and that's what his parents were meant to be there for. To guide him.

The one bit of guidance Jonathan Vieuxpont and Cassidy Abrams (different last names, they don't believe in marriage) gave their son was through magic. They spent hours every day after school teaching him everything they could remember from their time at Hogwarts. He retained all the information, but couldn't actually execute it. And the times he did, he never did it properly. His parents would pat him on the back and tell him it was okay, but he could see the disappointment in their faces. The walls were thin, and he could hear their conversations late at night, wondering why their son couldn't perform the same as them. Why can't he cast a simple spell? Why can't he lighten up a bit, stop being so paranoid? Why can't he be more like us? Mayweather took these nighttime conversations to heart, keeping himself up until late hours into the night, convincing himself he was incapable of magic.

Not too long afterwards, the Vieuxpont's received a letter; the same letter their family received when they around their son's age: an invitation to Hogwarts. Mayweather and his parents said their goodbyes in an insincere manner. The hugged and kissed and waved because that's what you're supposed to do. As a child leaving their parents, or parents sending off their kids, you're supposed to be sad; you're supposed to miss them before they're even gone. Yet both parties in the matter, Mayweather and his parents, felt a sense of relief they felt too bad to admit. They were never close. The said "I love you" because that's what they assumed you're supposed to do. Jonathan and Cassidy were still making up for lost years of teenage rebellion, and Mayweather had to pay the price for it.

Being the anxious individual he is, Mayweather still believed that he couldn't cast spells or summon charms or complete basic magic training. His magic abilities did improve somewhat. His parents's words still lingered, but not listening to their conversations every night after their magic lessons did help, and he could now pass his tests involving magic practice by a hair. Mayweather did very well in every type of test about magic, but had to spend at least twice the amount of extra time practicing basic magic for tests.

Mayweather never let go of the whole childhood ordeal of being unable to do magic; or rather, his entire childhood. He searches for validation through classmates and professors in the same way a child would when showing their mom and dad a drawing they made. His self-doubt still affects his magic abilities. Over the years, he didn't keep much contact with his parents other than the occasional letter in which he still attempted to show off his accomplishments. Every break and holiday, Mayweather stays alone on campus, but if anybody asks, he spent his Christmas stuffing his mouth with his mother's signature gingerbread cookies. He hasn't written to his parents in a while, but last time they spoke his mother had just given birth to their second son, Orion Vieuxpont. He shoud be turning one right around now.

oh god now what did i said?
Young Teddy Lestrange is a walking mistake her mother regretted from day one. After the birth of the young child, with her eyes wide open glistening with innocence, Bellatrix happily handed the wretched thing to her sister, Elvira. After Evlira decided against to follow the family's belief with the Dark Lord and ran away with her highshcool sweetheart, Alexander. But with desperate pleading and tears in her eyes, Evlira took the child in and watched her crazed sister slither back into the shadows.

After her mother's abandonment at birth, Teddy's childhood was normal for a little girl. She grew up happy with her skin constantly bruised and scratched from rough housing with Elvira's triplet sons who all inherited their father's muggle gene. Elvira and Alexander watch as young Teddy grew into her mother's features as years went by as she showed no magical abilities. They prayed each and every night for Teddy to live a normal muggle life, to grow happy without knowing the chaos her mother caused.

As seasons went by, Teddy had finally showed potential in magic and the letter Elvira dreaded arrived in their bright red mailbox. Elvira was more than happy to not send Teddy to Hogwarts but instead to the local muggle school near their house. Alexander, however, disagreed with his wife and thought it was best for Teddy to explore her roots. With the little time Elvira had left with her niece, she tried the best of her ability to explain to Teddy who her mother was. At first, the young girl thought it was a joke being played on her, yet with her aunt's rushed voice and the soft choking of her tears, Teddy realised her aunt wasn't playing a joke. With the little knowledge of her cruel mother, Teddy was pushed onto the train with a cloud of unanswered questions and a confused look etched upon her face.

After stepping off the train, it was clear to the young girl with frizzy hair she was not going to be accepted by her peers. Her last name was spoken in hushed voices and there was always a constant, judgemental glare following her around wherever she went. When Teddy stood there, trembling with fear, as the sorting hat sat upon her head and yelled out "Gryffindor!", the student body could only muster a polite clap. No one wanted to be with a Lestrange, despite Teddy's determined efforts to make a friend. As she grew older, she made some close friends who didn't care for her name. Teddy usually stays at Hogwarts during the holidays, her favourite sweater, worn like a second skin, that was knitted by aunt while drinking hot coco and sending letters to her aunt and cousins back home.
