Happy Home for the Criminally Insane (ColdHarem & PiperAllen)

Hey, I don't know if you'd be interested in this, but at some point soon-ish, would you like for us both to design a couple of other characters who would be part of the plot, but side-characters? By that I mean like one or two of the nuns who play roles in the conspiracy/corruption elements of the asylum, and maybe a doctor who could also be involved? We wouldn't have to play them actively, but that would give us some characters who are slightly developed to bring in whenever the plot called for them.

Idk, terrible idea or possible good one? They wouldn't have to be as indepth as the mains, just something to give us a brief idea so we could brainstorm what kind of conspiracy gig is going on :P

Yeah, that would be great! :D I was thinking about the conspiracy stuff too. Do you have any ideas for that?
Awesome ^U^ And there are two kind of routes I guess we could go down: fantasy and non-fantasy. Or perhaps supernatural would be a better term. American Horror Story went down the supernatural route, I haven't watched enough to know how, but the typical haunted insane asylum route could be fun, with the nuns either perhaps a part of that, or exploiting it. They also had elements of doctors preforming experiments on patients, and feeding the odd one to whatever lurked out in the forest. The nuns and doctor seemed just as loopy as the patients half the time, and I quite like the idea of them being messed up in some way or another. We could really go with anything if we went down a supernatural element, from a spirit that feeds off of terror and stress, and the nuns aid it by doping up the patients and making them worse, or really whatever you can think of :P

Non-supernatural wise, I guess I'll just list possible conspiracy ideas/elements and you can pick anything you do or don't like?

- Nuns just going to extreme extremes on the religious element, using insane methods to 'purge' the demons from the inmates, and also exploiting the patients in multiple fashions, for work, and just abusing them in general because they regard them as 'unholy'. This could have some cool elements of Nun-insanity too, and looking at if they're any more sane than those they're in charge of. (Dunno if you've seen The Magedlane (probably spelt wrong, sorry) Sisters, but that kind of thing)

- Going down the doctor route, the doctor preforming experiments on the patients, potentially down the brainwashing route, or just testing out new procedures on them like labrats, and the nuns not only condone this, but profit by it.

- None of the patients were actually insane when they first arrive, but rather through drugs and 'therapy' their memories have been altered. Patients confined there have had some rich benefactor pay the nuns to take the patients in and do this to them for one reason or another, either because they hated the person, because they wanted them out of the way, for personal gain, etc. So, it functions as the ultimate disposal unit for the rich to make people they don't like disappear.

If you have any ideas please throw them this way, I've kind of been clinging at threads to think of something xD

Your ideas are awesome! I'm good with doing a supernatural thing or a more realistic thing. I really like the last idea you listened though. I think that could be interesting. I like the supernatural ideas too xD

Whoop, glad they didn't come off as as rambly and dithering as they sounded in my head xD Perhaps we could combine the last idea and some supernatural elements then?

p.s. apologies, I've g2g to bed tomorrow, so I'll have to reply to anything tomorrow. Goodnight from me :)

That would be cool!
And alrighty, goodnight! :-)
Morning! ^U^

Perhaps there could be an entity within the asylum that feeds off of people's sanity, thus driving them insane, and the nuns exploit this fact for the financial reasons in the last one. Potentially the head nun could be supernatural as well, maybe the personification of the entity inhabiting the madhouse, or some way bound to it/co-dependant on it? Perhaps then we can have the doctor, who appears to be evil, is actually experimenting on the patients to see if he can save them, and smuggling those he can out of the asylum?

Idk, any ideas?

Ooh, I like the entity idea! I like the idea about the head nun too.

That could be cool with the doctor. I like the idea of him smuggling patients out of the Asylum.

Great then, we'll have to see how we can work the conspiracy in then *cue evil cackle*. Oh, and since the doctor and the head nun seem to be the two major side characters, shall we each design one? If so, which one would you like?

As for the 'entity', if it ever gained more a prescense in the RP physically and such, I imagine we'd share control over it?

We could both design one, sure. I could design the doctor, if you wouldn't mind designing the head nun. How much detail should I come up with for that?

And yeah, probably. Like, if the 'entity' is after Daniel I could control it and vice versa.

In terms of how the conspiracy could work, I actually had an idea. Maybe one of the characters could see someone they killed? So, normally their hallucinations are vague and shadowy but then *bam* a very clear person staring at them through a window. And then maybe the other character could be around when the 'dead' person appears, and see them too?

Oooh, I love the idea of the accidental spotting of the conspiracy - since it's your idea, I welcome you to having the character who discovers that :P I love that as the method of discovery, especially since it's still got the potential of 'was it even real' on the sidelines.

And yep, I'm more than happy to design the head nun. Just put in as much detail as you like, anything you think would be cool, just throw that in. It doesn't have to be much, just whatever you think is needed to give an idea of him/her :)

Thanks ^.^ And okay, Cara shall see a 'dead' person. *evil laugh* When do you think that should happen?

And sounds good. I'll try to get that up soon!

Perhaps it could happen at night, when they're supposed to be in bed and locked up, and she manages to get out and ends up wandering or something. What she walks in on, should it be a straight up murder, or something a little weirder? Perhaps it could be ritualistic, like a sacrifice, or again just a good old fashioned killing? I could control the head nun for that part?

I'm having a bit of a stupid moment here- when you said the dead person appears, what do you mean by that, like the body turning up, or a ghost haunting kind of thing?

And I'll try get the head nun up ASAP - as a warning, probably ripping off American Horror Story again here, because her character was so weird but so cool in that sense :P

I was thinking that she sees the person she thought she killed, like as a ghost thing. Your idea sounds cool too though, so I'm fine with either.

The doctor is probably going to be similar to a Criminal Minds character, at least with his face. xD

Oh wow, I get what you actually meant by your idea and that's like a million times cooler and so darn creepy, it's wicked - definitely the sees someone they killed thing. Hellllllsssssss. (may or may not be getting excited about this idea. Sorry, awesome creepy things are my calling xD )

Ey, criminal minds! I look forward to seeing who the face claim is for then :P

I also may or may not be very excited about this. xD
Do you watch Criminal Minds? :D
Same, so I'm glad I'm not alone xD

And I think I've watched the first season solidly, and a spattering of episodes from the rest of the seasons- my mum got addicted so I ended up struggling to keep up with the pace she watched them at,, but it was the best series ever. >w<

You're not alone, trust me. xD

And I just started it recently. Thanks to extreme binge watching, I'm already in season 2. It is so amazing! *.* Do you have a favorite character? :D

Either doctor adorable- I mean doctor Reid, or Garcia, because they are both intelligent badasses xD Naturally I love the rest of the team though, and I think it's one of those series it's impossible not to binge watch xD Who's your favourite, if you've picked one yet?

And know that I doubtlessly will freak out in a hyperactive, all excited kind of way when she spots the dead person xD

It is impossible not to binge watch! I literally love everyone on the team, but if I had to pick one favorite.. probably Reid, honestly. He's just so adorable!

Same. xD

I don't want to say anything b/c I can't remember what happened when, but any and all Reid-centric episodes are perfect and heartbreaking. Feel free to gush at me if anything exciting happens xD

Anything Reid-centric is perfect. Not just episodes. Like, scenes. xD I just watched an episode about these people that would kidnap people, release them into the woods, and hunt them down. :o The people who write for this show are genius, oh my god.

And the head nun's info looks great. I'll try to get the doctor's done tonight.

I like your new profile picture, by the way.

Not gonna lie, I lived for the Reid-centric scenes xD Falling in love with a character who is not the main-main is a tragic, painful thing :P Worse when they're a total side. And gosh, that episode was brilliant, but freaky as hell (naturally making it more brilliant :P ). The writers, they must have so much fun devising those plots, especially given how clever they are. I love the psychology side of the episodes too, they just seem so well researched and constructed :3

^U^ Glad she's been deemed worthy, and I look forward to whenever you get the doctor's profile, though there's no need to rush if you're busy. And thanks, I'm a chronic profile picture changer >w< half my tumblr just gradually cycles through it :P

Are you okay with me doing a time jump to night time in the next post for this RP btw? I'm just aware it will involve some character control, in that I want to say they did end up playing cards, and it wouldn't acknowledge any issues that they'd have before night time, so if you think the time jump is a good plan, is there anything you want your character to have done before that time, just if Daniel brushes across her in his thoughts?

Falling in love with a side character is very, very cruel. :P I love when the episodes are really twisted and freaky. I would have so much fun if I was one of the writers, lol. And the psychology side is fascinating!

I tend to find a profile picture I like and keep it for half a century then get terribly bored of it. xD

And yeah, a time jump is fine. Hhm.. there's nothing I can think of that Cara should do before the night time. Thanks for asking! :3
