Allen adjusted his sweater that rested on top of his Lavane traditional sweater, glad that the heat wasn't too bad in the evening. It was about 9:45, and the guests were supposed to arrive at 10:00 their time. He had decided that waiting behind the crossover was a bad idea, and showing his friends how to enter the camp would probably be a good idea. He quickly hopped back into his small purple car, and checked any and all of his social media, as he wouldn't be able to get to it again until morning. After all, Twitter and Facebook didn't exist in the 80s, and he didn't want to accidentally delete his laptop from existence by taking it with him. Turning the AC off, he stepped out in the almost-darkened empty stretch of land that lasted for miles, with tiny seedlings growing where the trunk of the old trees had been chopped down. But the main part he was excited for was seeing his buds again. All of them he'd helped get through stuff in their lives, and he was pretty excited to catch up. The whole time travel thing was cool and all, but he'd gotten over that by the third or fourth crossover. Allen adjusted his glasses, threw his charged but off phone in his car, and leaned against it, waiting for the first of the counselors to arrive.

(You should each post one intro post of coming up to the area of empty land and seeing Allen again. After everyone's posted once, it can be a free-for-all, as long as its not one sentence back and forth.)

Zeke was the first to arrive to see Allen. He powered on ahead on his Harley lookalike bike and side skidded it to a stop.

Expertly, he took out the keys, jumped off and removed his helmet and his sunglasses.

“Buddy!” He said , extending his arm for a friendly, enthusiastic hand shake “how are ya?!”

It was clear that Zeke was happy to see Allen, it had been a long time since they’d last spent a drunken evening with each other. Too long in fact.

“Sooo..”Zeke noticed, now that he was the first, and he found this weirdly awkward. His black and white trainerd feet started kicked up the dust from beneath his feet. “How long until everyone else gets here?”

He pulled his silky baseball jacket up a little higher, regretting more than anything in the world choosing it over his leather jacket.

Finley, riding on her usual source of transportation, figured out how to get to the pick-up address pretty quickly. She kept her hair tie on her wrist, dreading the fact she'd have to have her hair up constantly. She kept brushing over her thighs, wishing the pants were baggier like her own, but what could you do? Can't have some ratty looking skater chick waltz in on a job opportunity. Finley had recently quit her job at the skateboard shop in exchange for this one, but it was clean; she could go back whenever she felt like it, the shop didn't get a lot of eager employees.

She skated down the sidewalk on her skateboard, swerving left and right flawlessly, doing small tricks on her way there for fun. After all, she probably wouldn't be allowed to bring it into the campsite, but she wasn't sure. She pulled up, kicked the board up with her foot, and held it under her arm, then proceeded to walk over to where Allen and Zeke were rekindling.

She grinned, nodding to each of them respectively. "Allen, what's up, dude? Nice to see you again." She then snickered, stifling a louder laugh as she checked him out, eyeing his sweater. "Woaaah, sweet sweater. The 80s called, they asked me to tell you to give your sweater back, Michael Jackson's getting pretty cold." She joked, smiling at him, then switching her gaze to Zeke. "You too, Ricky Henderson," she squinted, still grinning, "or should I call you Babe Ruth? You look old enough."

Behind Allen, a figure in a black cloak would suddenly materialize behind him, holding up a fake knife as they rushed up to him, screaming. "Boo!"

Whatever the reaction was, the figure lifted up her mask, revealing Ashley's grinning face. "Still on your tippy toes, Allen?" Shedding her disguise, it was apparent she was already dressed for her role with a short skirt, blouse shirt, and a fancy cardigan tied around her like a scarf.

"Couldn't resist, you know how old times are!" Ashley hugged Allen. It'd been a while, but he'd helped her out of a lot of jumbles in college including her last stunt. If it wasn't for him, she didn't know how far she'd have taken the prank. Then again, Allen her always seemed to see eye to eye on more things than she'd care to admit.

"So you've gathered us all here, what's the deal?"

The Crossover Point

Allen, smiling, reaches out and shook Zeles, then pulled him in for a pat on the back. It had been along time, he thought. “I’m doing great actually. I just got here about half an hour ago, and the families been good. You?” Allen followed his gaze to the leaf-covered land that spread out behind him. “Oh, the others, they should be getting here soon! After all, it’s almost 10:00.” As he said this, Allen heard a noise, and turned to see the skater from his past, which immediately made his face light up once more. “Finley! Hey, how are you doing! Oh, the sweater? Thanks, I had to find something traditional for the job. You don’t look to bad yourself!” Allen extended his hand for a fiat bump after he said this. Little did he see the shadow behind, sneaking up to his- Allen turned and pointed at the running figure, most likely sterling her. “Ashley, so glad you could make it. Tippy-ties huh? Your still quote the prankster after all the years that’s gone by. That makes three of you now, the others should be arriving soon. After everyone gets here, I’ll show you guys how to enter the camp.” Allen looked at the horizon, then back at everyone’s clothing, “and I see you all got drsssed in your traditional 80s attire as well? Great! That’s something we sont’t Have to worry about, through I should warn you, any objects that didn’t exist in the 80s will disappear when we get there, so be weary.”

Juno drove up the dirt road path up to the meeting point, he was going to be early but it was the first time seeing Allen in a while so he was fine with it. The path was surrounded by thick, tall trees that made the road feel like you were in a canyon. Eventually Juno got to where everyone else was and parked his car. Don’t act stupid and don’t act weird, you got this. Juno got out of the car and put his letterman jacket on. The jacket was old and he could feel where certain parts were falling apart, the jacket had came from a goodwill and Juno got it for a cheap price so he wasn’t complaining. Juno strutted confidentially towards the group till he saw Allen and smiled. Allennnn, long time no see Dude!! You look good man, you’re outfit is way cooler then mine. Juno looked around at the others and saw the two women standing there. He turned to Allen and then said Allen I didn’t know you were friends with such beautiful women. Juno turned around and winked at both of them simultaneously.

As a general rule of thumb, William Flores was not the type to leave home early. Not for meetings, not for friends — it would've just been un-William like. But today was different, a bit of an unusual circumstance. It involved Allen. Allen, his old buddy! He wouldn't miss the chance to meet him for anything. It'd only been a few months since their last night out at the bar, but the gap in time felt like an eternity to him. Correspondence over e-mail was better than nothing, he guessed, but it was ultimately unsatisfying. He needed to see him again. Him and the rest of the loosely formed group who ran into each other at the bar, that was.

The thought of his old friends drove him on, hurrying him down the path in his car, one hand on the wheel and the other lazily hanging out the window. He looked from side to side as the brush cleared to make way for shorter grass, the hints of a parking lot emerging. A childish feeling of glee erupted inside him as he caught the hint of more cars in the distance, and a small group of people.

"Hey, Allen!" he shouted with unnecessary volume over the crowd, letting go of the wheel and waving both his arms in an attempt to catch his attention. "Did you miss me?" William pulled the car up sharply, trying to spot the familiar faces amongst them. More of them were unfamiliar than familiar — not exactly what he was hoping for, but the group still seemed small. Some of them must've still been on the way. He gave the group one more look through before he keyed off the ignition and hopped out of the car, casually making a beeline for Allen and the center of the group.

He flashed a smile at Juno, stopping as he noticed what he was doing. (The hotshot athlete — he remembered him.) The last time he'd seen him face to face must've actually been when they were all still in high school. "And I guess you'd be acquainting yourself with the ladies, Juno? Sounds like you haven't changed a bit," he teased.

David
Current thoughts: Why am I here among these individuals instead of reading about cells and molecules?

Current condition: Uninterested
David sighed, taking a deep breath as he leaned back against the chair of the car that had driven here. It wasn't a very fancy car - white/silver with a scratch in the headlights and a bump in the back where he had been hit by a drunk idiot. David didn't even bother getting his car fixed after that, and his dad had to sort out the whole thing with payment and stuff. David had no space in his time for all that stuff, instead, he would rather stay by himself with the light shining down upon his book of molecules or black holes. Maybe even some newly discovered mathematic law could satisfy himself more than arguing with a joke of a human who definitely had an IQ that were more than one-hundred below his, and that was giving the man some credit. David sighed, pulling out the car keys and opening the door of his car, which greeted him the same way it always did - an undelightful sound of old iron scratching against some material that weren't there originally. This is what happened to old cars which were used far after its expiration date.

He stepped onto the dirt, immediately noticing that there were some wetness that made the dirt sink in some areas. He immediately deduced that there had probably been rain these couple of days, not that he would've noticed in that dark room of his. David slumped over, and saw that Allen was already there, along with a few more other people that he didn't know. He checked his watch, "10:10. That's pretty on time for me," He exclaimed, nodding at Allen, who is probably the only person he would even consider showing respect to out of all these other people. All these other people are probably equivalent to the same guy who had managed to crash his car into his. How idiotic.

"Traditional, right, right." She laughed, mumbling softly under her breath. Allen and her were close, sure, she had a lot to owe him. But, it was her nature to tease. That's why she felt like Allen really did her a favor by picking 'the comedian' role. It was for the better, because Finley would just have to be her, with more crude, vulgar, and judgmental jokes. She could do that, it wouldn't hurt her morals.

Finley glanced over, seeing a car approach. Suddenly, the person yelled for Allen, waving his arms frantically. He then pulled the car closer to the group and exited. She smirked at him as he hopped over to them, loosely examining them one by one, then halting his gaze on Juno. He teased Juno, asking about his flirting tendencies. Finley rolled her eyes, held her hand out in front of her and glanced over her nails. None busted, surprisingly.

Another car approached, a white car of some kind. She could care less, not a car fanatic. The guy driving, though, looked like someone she'd give a wedgie and then throw into a locker somewhere. She bit her cheek as he approached, realizing he also, unfortunately, knew Allen. She rolled her eyes, huffing loudly as she glanced around. Maybe that was what he wanted, to get someone like her riled up. I mean, they were different, no doubt. Some skater chick and a guy who's obviously college graduated. She wouldn't be surprised if he were some sorta professor at a fancy rich kid college.

Finley's inner bully took over as she studied him, narrowing her eyes with disappointment. "Allen, I'm assuming you know this dork?" She glanced her eyes over to Allen, then back to David. She put her skateboard down on the ground, putting her foot down on it. To be honest, he looks like someone she'd get tutoring from, she probably shouldn't be too harsh. "I mean, I see it, definitely. Two nerds looking for a job together, probably gonna read comic books in the cabins, under the covers, then have an 'intelligent, intellectual'," she made air quotes with her fingers, "conversation that only nerds can have, about the bust and thigh width of the characters. You'll both proceed to come out of the cabins, with a nosebleed and a boner," she smirked at David, then turned her head and looked at Allen. "Tell me I'm wrong, go on." She insisted, looked back at David, and nodded. To be fair, she was definitely being unnecessary here, but to get into character, and for fun. It wasn't David's fault he looked like someone who'd have a 5.0 GPA and applying for six different colleges at once.

Zeke adjusted his denim jacket as he stood, in near silence, watching all of Allen’s friends roll up one by one. He didn’t know that Allen knew such an eclectic mix of people.

He studied every one of them closely in his own Zeke-y way. Some he could totally imagine being friends with away from here. That skateboard chick was pretty cool, for starters. Other people, here, he didn’t really warm to. In fact, they got his back up already. However, he knew this was a camp and they all had to just get on, so any negative feelings were successfully repressed... for now.

“Hey Al” he shook himself out of his judgey thoughts. “We waiting for anyone else, or what?”

Allen laughed nervously as Finely mentioned David and their experience in camp. David was someone who wouldn't tolerate this language very well, so h tried to cut it off immediately by cutting the conversation off and moving on. "Anyway," he said gesturing to everyone who had arrive, "Your probably wondering where this impossible time-traveling camp is. Well," Allen bgan to walk backwards with his hands in his pockets, "Its right here." Allen arrived at one of the biggest stumps on the desolate property, and jumped on it. Then he was gone, sweater and all, leaving most of the crowd in awe.

Caelyn sighed softly as she hefted her bag back over her shoulder, looking around as she soon arrived at the camp, a soft sigh escaping her as she looked around a bit slowly. She smiled a bit softly as she slowly moved to head towards the camp, not expecting much due to how long it took her to get there by bus, as she had no car at the time. She shook her head slowly as she mumbled a bit to herself, half wondering why she was called up to help run the camp, and half wondering why she accepted. She shrugged a bit to herself, before slowly looking around to see if she could recognize anyone there as she wondered where she would have to leave her stuff.

It looked cool, alright, Zeke thought as he first clapped eyes in the camp. It wasn’t really his kinda theme, or anything like that, though, he just came to support Allen. It was still pretty well done, however. It did look kinda fun.

“Credit where credit is due” Zeke piped up, getting a little bit excited but trying so hard not to show it “credit where credit’s due... you’ve done a pretty good job, here, dude”

He adjusted his baggy backpack back over his shoulders and looked around a bit more. For a moment, he forgot he was in the company of strangers.
