Former UNSC Covert Ops Space Station: Homebase.

Homebase resides in the dark space just beyond the Cygnus Arm of the Milkyway. It is a military installation equipped with seven point-defense guns, and a contingent of YSS-1000 Sabre Space Superiority Starfighters. It also has a non-functioning Stalwart-Class Frigate docked at one of its upper docking ports. It's home to approximately 1,500 souls, mostly men and women, but in the last year a number of crew families have relocated to the station.


It is also home and workplace to Admiral Jeremiah Kaine. Leader of the AegisGuard corporation.

"Admiral, incoming distress signal. Origin looks to be Covenant..." The communications officer spoke, routing it to the bridge speakers "That's odd... it's pre-war Covenant...".


"This The Covenant Regret-Class Assault Carrier Hammer of Retribution, we are stranded at a Forerunner Shield World! We've lost contact with High Charity and the planetary defenses have blown our engines, life support failing. Need urgent assistance! Coordina-"


"The transmission cuts off there, sir, and seems to be automated, what should we do? A Covenant Assault Carrier could be a valuable asset in any condition. I can trace it to a system in the next cluster."

Admiral Jeremiah Kaine

Kaine was sitting at his Command station in the Homebase CIC, upon hearing the transmission he stood and walked over to the comm station, leaning over the officer, from what it displayed it was an authenticate transmission. "High Charity... Looks like they've been out of contact for awhile... if they're still alive." Admiral Kaine stood, walking to the main console at the CIC's center, "Wake up the good Captain, tell him to report to my ready room, mobilize all military personnel and make the Achilles' Wrath ready for departure. Looks like it's going to be an interesting day."


The Admiral made made for the exit, intent on getting to his ready room before Nolan did, "And send any and all information we have on this class of covenant ship to the console in my ready room, specs, military contingents, all of it." He then exited the CIC.
