Biography: Maxine Lauber or Max-501 was born on Earth to wealthy family living in New Hamburg, her father was one in a long line of German Generals in her family, tracing all the way back to some 20th Century war called WWI. She grew up as almost the bastards child, her mother died when she was five due to a car accident and his father was left just her, however he had wanted a son to carry the military tradition of the family. Due to his anger and disappoint Max was abused on multiple occasions, mainly physically until she finally was able to move away at 16. From there she did a serious of low paying jobs around New Hamburg, however she casually heard about the encroaching Covenant threat. She did this until she came upon a recruitment rally for a newly founded PMC group, they name was the Diamond Dogs. They were hired to help protect private business interests that were being threatened by the Covenant remnants on the outer colonies. Max jumped at the job, hoping to prove her worth once more to her father. She underwent rigorous training which at some points led to some physical trauma but she was able to push through it to the end unscathed. She scored a very high score and was prepared for ready assignment, that was until the Prometheans attacked New Phoenix. After that the UNSC knew it need to set up a greater outreach and research to the forerunner tech and so they bought out the Diamond Dogs to assist. Max then served a few tours securing forerunner artifacts, which nurtured her proficiency with a sniper rifle and allowed her to show off exceptional combat skill. This caught the eye of the UNSC Spartan Program who were looking for members to fill up the newly commissioned Fireteam Nephilim. The prospect of glory and recognition from her family was too much for Max to turn down and she eagerly agreed, though she still keeps her Diamond Dogs patch on her armor for old times sake.

Nice character I like it, however please lower the amount of things your character is good at. I should have mentioned I want for strengths and two flaws.

Sidearm:

Melee Weapon:

She always keeps two knives on her. Their metal sheaths are attached to the outer side of her calves, flush and parallel with the sides of her legs. The knives themselves are rather long and large, with the blades being almost 9 inches long and the handles being almost six inches long. Due to the larger size, the sheaths aren't as large or heavy duty as most standard sheaths are. The knives are built and shaped like strong, pretty standard combat knives, except for the fact that they are really long. The edge on the tips are deadly sharp, while the edge after the curve of the tip blends to a slightly serrated edge to make then better at digging in. They are the standard color and everything, they are just really long. She always makes sure those knives are in tip-top shape, and she only uses them if she has to. That is because she really likes them for some reason, and she has always liked knives. They also look cool as hell to her, so she can't help but love 'em. Along with those two knives, she also has two standard combat knives with the sheath in the standard spots for Spartan armor. She tends to use those two knives more often than her longer ones.

Theme songs:

(I find a lot of good songs through watching RvB AMVs. I'm also a sucker for 'em, since they make songs that I already knew about seem even better, such as with this one. Don't judge.)

Biography:

(Not very long or detailed, but..oh vell.)

Olivia Montage (Mon-tang), more commonly called Liv, grew up in an American family of strong French decent. Her family lived on a ranch, with their main sources of income being her parents' good jobs and the selling of sheep, pigs, and mainly calves every year. Olivia had aspersions to go to college to be in the medical field once she graduated from high school, hoping to become a field medic of some sort. But she soon realized that being in the middle of a war zone made it pretty difficult for her to treat patients properly due to the stress level. So she ditched that thought and decided to maim and kill enemies rather than treat and heal friendlies. Liv trained to be a regular soldier, first a generic Marine, then graduating up to an ODST. That position fit her well, and she successfully completed many a mission as that level of soldier. She was nowhere near the highest ranking, but she was certainly a useful soldier during her time as an ODST.

Soon after becoming an ODST, Olivia's superiors became aware that the woman was talented when it came to stealth, sneaking up to the enemies and killing them usually before they even knew she was there. She was also good at killing the enemy outright with firearms like most other soldiers due to her precision, especially with her Battle Rifle, but she was best with her use of knives. Standard knives, larger knives, daggers, etc. Knives work well for her. The melee weapon fascinated her as well, and she grew to using knives a lot to kill her enemies rather than using a traditional gun. Because of this, Liv was well known among her fellow ODSTs as a silent killer, and many both feared and admired her for it.

The people that admired her the most were the members of Fireteam Flashbang, a group of soldiers primarily skilled with special operations. Obviously the missions weren't to the caliber of a Spartan's due to ODSTs being weaker soldiers, but the Helljumpers still did special ops missions that, mainly, the UNSC didn't have the super soldier resources for. And that was actually a lot of missions. So, since the team became down a man after a particularly risky missions, the leader contacted Olivia and presented her with the option of joining their squad. After some thought, she accepted.

Olivia worked wonders for Flashbang. She helped to increase the success rate of the now four-person team, and they all generally worked well together. Despite the fact that Liv refused to go on any missions involving the killing of civilians - whether they were Outer Colony rebels or not - since she hated the outright killing those that didn't truly deserve it (and still does to this day), she enjoyed working with her team and they reciprocated the feeling.

After a year or so of being a part of Fireteam Flashbang, Olivia and her comrades were given the opportunity to become Spartans. Spartan-IV super soldiers, obviously. They had all heard talk of this being a possibility and thought it was too good to be true, so this was a surprise to them. A happy surprise, but a surprise nonetheless. They had the chance to become Spartans, the top soldiers the UNSC could throw, gods and goddesses of war disguised as tanks! They couldn't believe it. Eagerly, they took the offer, and began their rigorous and painful training to become one of the mythical super soldiers.

In the end, all but one of the four in the group survived the augmentation process, including Olivia. The three mourned the loss of their one friend that didn't make it through, but they were still happy to have made it themselves and were determined to strive for greatness in memory of their fallen comrade. The problem, though, was that the team was soon separated. The UNSC and ONI felt that their respective skills could be used elsewhere, in other teams, separated from one another. This did not make the friends happy at all, but they still obliged out of respect for their superiors and went their separate ways. But, even though they are now split, the three of them still excel in their skills they had back when they were ODST, and use those skills whenever they can to relive their time on Fireteam Flashbang.

And now we're to the present, with Liv just recently learning about the death of the legendary Master Chief. She is both devastated and skeptical of the news. Liv never personally knew the man, obviously, only admired his might and excellence in war. Especially since she is now a Spartan herself. She is still shook by the news, though. Especially since she can't help but have this itching feeling in the back of her skull that something doesn't feel right about the news. She doesn't outright question it, though. Instead, Liv is determined to continue fighting for good and the protection of those that deserve it, while carrying on in the Chief's footsteps to the best of her ability. Especially with her new team, which she is meeting soon. She doubts she will become as close to them as she did with her old team, but she still hopes to create a lasting bond with them.

The one I was talking to in the interest thread? If so, I don't know. I have some other friends on here that I could mention it to, though.
