Name:

Valerie Johnson

Nickname:

Val

Age:

17

How I survived:

Her father was a firefighter. He'd naturally been prepared for a natural, or man made, disaster. She'd been lucky enough to live on the coastline. Her father hid her in their food stocked basement with his only gas mask and went out to help, as duty called. After two days of explosions, gunfire, and stomach twisting screams, she loaded a bookbag full of supplies, grabbed her skateboard, and went out looking for her father. She never found him.

Personality:

Reserved. She's not one to start a conversation with someone she doesn't know. But when you get through her prideful shell, she's the most loyal, caring person you'll meet during the apocalypse.

Where I'm from:

California, La

Where I'm going:

Drifting place to place, just trying to avoid being ripped to shreds.

Fighting style:

Pretty good with a pistol.

Weapon of choice:

Her dads old Winchester

This is all I've got with me:

Week or so worth of food and water, flashlight, batteries, small first aid kit, and her favorite longboard.

Anything extra:

Even in the apocalypse, Valerie finds joy in the little things. Like longboarding down the debris filled streets of California

How I survived:

She hid out in her basement and took all the food down with her. Her mother was at work and her dad was picking her little sister up from school. She waited for three days but neither returned. She knew a few skills because her mother taught her how to open canned foods and cook. Her father was a hunter and they went on trips sometimes so she knew how to fend them off if needed. Her fathers gun was upstairs. She took it downstairs just in case.

Personality:

Confident and keeps her cool. She's laid back and likes to go with the flow, a trait that is needed in these times. She's very brave and isn't afraid of anything. (Except dying)

Where I'm from:

Los Angeles, California

Where I'm going:

Looking for a group.

Fighting style:

Good with a gun and knives.

Weapon of choice:

Prefers a gun of some type but will use knives if necessary.

This is all I've got with me:

Some food, a knife, a pistol, box of bandaids ( a lot of good that'll do you), and a water bottle.

Name:

Jeffrey Eckerstorm

Nickname:

Jeff or Echo

Age:

18

How I survived:

After his uncle had allowed him to take over the local business of being an automotive and electrical mechanic within the city of Long Beach California. Jeff had flown in to California from Mississippi a week prior to the outbreak, with only the clothes on his back and his duffle bag. The day the infection began, his uncle David had gone out to the local bar as he normally did. When the explosive's went off and the outbreak began, Jeff was awaken with the shaking of his building which contained the mechanic's garage below his apartment. Going with his first reactions he quickly ran down to the mechanic's garage and began to barricade the doors and seal the windows. When day break began to become evident through the glass of the windows which weren't completely covered Jeff began to move necessary supplies to the basement below the garage in order to wait out what was going on, wether is be military invasion nor an earthquake.

Personality:

Keeping to himself through-out most of his life Jeff still dabbled with being outgoing when their was no work to be done. Keeping a thick wall between him and most people during his usual working hours was the main method Jeff used to keep himself focused on the task at hand. When he had time to be leisurely and enjoy the moment with not only himself, but his friends.

Where I'm from:

Gulfport, Mississippi

Where I'm going:

With the open knowledge that his family was most likely dead, Jeff slowly came to the conclusion he just needed to openly survive. Things were not going to get much better than they already were, so finding a group or simply staying solo wouldn't bother him.

Fighting style:

As most people quickly realized that ammunition was not a very plentiful, having a gun along with compatible ammunition was a rarity within the current state. Thus Jeff took up using two framing hammers to deal with any situation which deemed that he had to use force.

Weapon of choice:

Two Framing hammers located at both of his hips, along with an M1911 which is located in the exterior pocket of his duffle bag.

This is all I've got with me:

A duffle bag containing: a small mechanic's toolbag, A spare pair of clothes, a flashlight, a handheld Dc/Ac power convertor, a carton of cigarettes, An M1911 pistol with a spare magazine, a few days worth of food and water. At his hips are two twenty-four ounce framing hammers held at his waist by a leather waist strap.

Anything extra:

Jeff is an open atheist, and will only revoke/renounce the fact that good is to be thanked/blamed. Also tends to enjoy looking down at cities and area's from high elevations while enjoy a cigarette to calm him down.
