Operation First Strike
Briefing: A major offensive is being planned in the Black Iron sector of the Asteroid belt. A collection of 13 mining colonies this sector of the ring is one of the most stable in the quadrant, and with Jupiter approaching soon in it's orbit, make it an excellent staging point. The 7th Fleet has been assembled and is en route. They are tasked with neutralizing the three space defense platforms and any Federation space and ground forces in the sector.
Halberd's official task is to disable one of the platforms as much as possible before the Fleet's arrival. However, this is a secondary objective. Your primary objective is to rescue a high value prisoner being kept on the station. If you are unable to secure the prisoner, lethal action is authorized. Any damage done to the station for diversionary purposes is authorized.
We have requisitioned a proto type MX-5 stealth shuttle that will be launched by a fleet Destroyer. It has no engines so you'll be riding on momentum, you'll need to find your own way home. You will have full access to the armory before you go so take what you need now. One last thing, the fleet will engage any hostile force once they arrive, regardless of whether or not you're aboard. So get out quick.
