Welcome to Project Perseus
We used to be a respected organization. Flashing your badge used to make jaws drop in awe. But now our name is tarnished. Those that use the Powered for injustice and selfish gains have dragged our name through the mud, leaving us beaten and broken. We had to retreat underground and reorganize. We lost thousands of good agents. Now, we need your help. We know what you're capable of and we need you.

Overview

This roleplay is loosely based off the Marvel universe. Characters are intended to be original but can be based off of canon characters in Marvel. Any characters with powers must be given weaknesses of an equal caliber (i.e. characters with a particularly strong set of abilities must have a particularly easy and/or simple weakness) and must have a threshold of power. Characters can die, but only with permission of the creator. As always, no god modding and/or Mary Sues. Characters are permitted (and encouraged) to have past relations with other characters.

Replies should be 2-3+ paragraphs in length and should add to character and/or plot development. Don't be afraid to fluff up your posts. That often livens them up! You should be able to post at least one reply every 2-3 days at a minimum. If you can reply more often, then that's great!
Character sheets must be approved before you hop into the roleplay. CS must include name, abilities, weaknesses, personality, background, and age at a minimum. Format is up to you. As always, more than that is welcome (and encouraged!). Characters can also be regular individuals. You're permitted to play more than one character as long as a CS is submitted and approved for each. A CS is not required for minor filler characters when they are necessary. About H.E.R.O.E.S.

The organization H.E.R.O.E.S. is very S.H.I.E.L.D.-esque in nature. It used to operate above ground and was wildly supported as a method to register and maintain Powered individuals. After a series of incidents and a power struggle with another organization, H.E.R.O.E.S was forced to retreat into the shadows. They now operate entirely undercover from hidden bases and their forces are much smaller they than had previously been. Current agents are generally very suspicious of newcomers and Powered agents rarely use their abilities unless absolutely necessary.Anti-Powered sentiment is at an all-time high across the nation.

About the Location

H.E.R.O.E.S. mainly operates from a hidden bunker deep in the woods of Pennsylvania. Recruitment commonly takes root in New York City, considering it has a high concentration of Powered individuals. However, skilled agents of H.E.R.O.E.S. may travel to more distant locations in pursuit of a particularly strong or interesting Powered individual.
