...And hello from Germany!
I've been RPing on and off since I was 17, putting me at about 14 years' worth of experience. It's a fun mental exercise for me when I've got the time (which can be rare, as my job often takes up a lot). I like to flex my imagination and create new worlds and scenarios from nothing. I used to be pretty good at it, but it's been a minute so I guess we'll have to see at this point. I most enjoy the science-fiction and horror genres though I'm not averse to a more gritty fantasy setting. I should note that I really dislike RP's that are based on existing franchises. Making the setting is, in my mind, the best part of the game. The characters are almost secondary as to me they are almost always a product of the environment that they're in.
Like most of you, I like to read. My favorite topics are history, horror, fantasy, humor, and science fiction (although the first half of "The Count of Monte Cristo" is still one of my favorite examples of storytelling). I've tried tabletop RP's like Pathfinder from time to time but I rarely stay in one place for long so that tends to be problematic. Writing is more fun, anyway. I'm married with a dog and no kids. I like to go camping and hiking as well as paint, whittle, and make things in my spare time. I like silence, nature, and thinking about the stories of things that I encounter in my everyday life. I dislike bureaucracy, traffic, and what passes for "news" in my country.
That should be enough for now. Again, I can't wait to create stories with all of you!
