Good morning, Atlantic Coalition, associated territories and colonies!

In the news, yesterday the Pact of Smolensk and the Arab Union issued a statement of mutual assistance and announced the oil embargo will stand if the Atlantic Coalition forces don't withdraw from the Ademar Kingdom Civil War.

The protests against drafting escalated after the death of sixteen students last Tuesday, this week the Atlantic Coalition suspended the talks with colony representatives and will vote if resorting to martial law. Terrorists groups announced reprisals and their goal is not self determination anymore, but full independence.

Ashtorn Corporation expressed its intention to look for a peaceful agreement with workers and unions who are on strike against the scheduled closing of the Mobile Suit factory of Detroit, though its plans to move the factory to Galileo space colony continue.

The cold-related deaths increased this month in Virginia and California as poor families couldn't afford callefaction with the prices of fuel and coal still elevating even with the Government subsidies.

Morning of December 30th, PU 457.

Half of the Goodwill Colony, a joint project between the PS and AC, fell from orbit crashing on South Africa, causing around half a million victims between the South African victims, and the PS and the AC workers in the colony.

Both sides blame the other while the debris thrown to the atmosphere contributes to decrease the temperature of the entire Earth, leading to deteriorate the weather and living conditions on the Earth, after a few days of political struggle both sides attacked.

Korea DMZ

00.12 hours of December 30th, PU 457.

The forces of the PS stationed in North Korea launched a massive assault to the South and with most of AC forces in Asia still tied in the Ademar Kingdom Civil War, the only reinforcements available are in Okinawa and Singapur, very far for an immediate answer.

The PS forces have a clear numerical advantage over the AC forces and they push their way through the demilitarized zone, sending massive forces to strain the defensive lines of the AC forces while commando squads attempt to penetrate deeper and break their defensive lines.

Although heavily surpassed in numbers, the AC forces are well entrenched and can count with elite units and aerial support from Okinawa Base to hold their line until reinforcements arrive.

If the PS forces can’t take the strongholds of the AC forces in the Korean DMZ the reinforcements might arrive in time to stop them from any further gain.

"Help! I need backup, stat!"

"Push forward! This is nothing-"

"Sarge!"

The assault on the DMZ was starting to take its toll. While the PS forces had strength in numbers, the AC forces, while small were slowly turning the tides. MS after MS for the PS forces were getting destroyed, beyond repair, and it's only a matter of time before enemy Reinforcements arrive....

Dropship, 200 meters above the DMZ

Tetsu rested in the cockpit of his MS, arms crossed as he was awaiting for his deployment into the battlefield.

"Ryukami, we reached the drop point!"

He opened his eyes before putting his hands on the controls.

The hangar opened as his Mobile Suit, a crimson colored Cossack with a black cloak around its body would drop down to the ground below, as Tetsu could see beam shots scattered about below. He could tell that the PS Forces were struggling.

"Tetsu Ryukami, "Warrior", beginning assault!"

An aerial type Lion was attacking from above at enemy Cossack units below. It was about to rack up its 10nth MS Destruction in this battle when a heat sword would Pierce through its back, and through the cockpit from above, as the "Warrior" would land on the Lion's back, before firing it's beam shotgun several times into the head of the already unmoving MS. Riding it down into an enemy trench like a surfboard, it would withdraw it's sword from the downed MS, as it glared at the enemy AC units which had their attention on it.

"What the hell?!"

"One got in! Shoot it!"

The enemy would fire their beam weaponry, but they bounced harmlessly off of Tetsu's Cossack.

An AC Warrior drew it's beam saber before dashing forward, but the Cossack "Warrior" would duck under and slice the opposing MS in half from the ground up with its heat sword.

The opposing MS that witnessed the destruction would fly back in order to regroup, but they would get shot down by PS forces while they were distracted.

The Cossack "Warrior" then turned around before charging forward, getting further into the DMZ while taking down any opposing MS that stood in its way, without any hindrance to the pilot's mission.

Clear the DMZ of AC forces. Allied MS would follow behind moping up any resistance, as Tetsu's arrival had boosted the PS forces Morale, and no one gave a second thought about moving forward. In a matter of minutes, the situation for the AC forces became alot more dire than prior to Tetsu's arrival.

The traces of the bullets passed by the sides of the PS dropship, half of the dropship squad had been lost to AA fire before getting even closer to the drop point.

Although the tension and danger around, a pink haired girl in the cockpit played carelessly a videogame between the shakes in her MS cockpit, however, between shake and shake she noticed the dropship was turning, returning to the depart point.

"What's going on? Why are we returning?" asked through the comms.
"The AA fire is too heavy, we have orders to retreat and regroup" replied the dropship pilot.

"No way!" replied the girl, this was her first combat on Earth surface and she wasn't running away just because some shots, she demmanded to be send down even if it wasn't the drop point.

The pilots and transport officer refused, but then the entire dropship shook and started to incline to one side.

"We are losing altitude, left rotor hit", claimed the pilot after the fire engulfed one of the giant rotors of the dropship. They had to lose weight if they wanted to avoid crashing down and to cover their retreat from the incoming AC MS. Without other options the girl's custom cossack was launched from the dropship along with a few others.

The girl's camouflage green colored MS survived the AA fire and landed near to a stronghold with the AA batteries that shot her dropship, it was located in a heavy forest area, meaning it was hard to locate from the air, and probably had been skipped by the reconnoisance flights.

However, the green MS covered as well as it could during a brief bombardment, when it stopped she knew a search and destroy squad would be coming to eliminate the threat to the stronghold.

She awaited patiently until she noticed the ground under her MS was shaking, her MS took a rock with its hand and threw it away in the direction of a bushy spot, and it was followed by the shooting of the enemy MS.

With their position exposed, the PS MS charged at them with its machine gun shooting at the AC MS which were far, and its shoulder hit the chest of the closest MS before its beam axe cut its mid section in two.

While the AC MS reported they have lost a Lion and tried to counter attack, but the PS MS had dissapeared in the forest again. The AC MS advanced cautiously into the forest to avenge their comrade.

"DIEEEEE!" the girl yelled inside her cockpit while her MS jumped from the back of an enemy MS smashing her beam axe on its exposed head, this time the AC MS reacted quickly and shot furiously, but when the dust settled they realised they only saw the rest of the attacked AC MS.

The last 2 AC MS approached each other, back against back, to protect each other, until one of them received a precise shot in its visual sensor which left him blind for a few seconds. When a support system was activated the pilot only saw the camouflage green Cossack smashing its axe on him.

The attack came with such a strength that it pushed back not only the AC MS attacked, but also the one which was behind it, with both MS falling, the last standing AC MS -a Douglas- was left defenceless and finished off with the weapon of one of its fallen comrade to trick the AC forces in the stronghold making them believe they had the last shot.

The whole scene didn't last more than 5 minutes, but she was delighted with her success, gasping and giggling after her combat experience on Earth. After she calmed a little, she took an AC weapon and judged a single MS might not be enough to get rid off the AC stronghold. She didn't like working with others, but she wasn't stupid either.

"Magenta 62, near Zebra point, requesting available forces to take tactical objective", she said through a frequence used by the PS forces, identifying herself -with the code of an elite unit- and the approximate position of the stronghold.

04.35 hours, December 30th, PU 457.

The day started to clarify with the first sun lights, the PS forces had made some advances through the Korean DMZ but the AC line was still holding.

Although heavy casualties and rough combat, the morale on both sides is high, the PS soldiers know that elite squads had breached the enemy line in different points and, on the other hand, the AC forces had been told of incoming reinforcements from Okinawa base.

After four hours of fierce combat, the gamble is still the same of the first minute, would the PS sword be able to break through the AC shield?

“We have reports of PS squad attempting to advance in coordinates 89-05, they are led by a … scarlet MS?”

Said a young femenine voice in the AC underground base while a large screen pinpointed the main engagements through the Korean DMZ, while the neatly dressed AC officers raised an eyebrow.

Although their forces were resisting they were running out of reserves under the continuous push of the PS forces, if the line fell before the Okinawan reinforcements arrived, Korean peninsula’s fate would be dubious.

“Where is the closest stronghold to that breach and how many reserve squads we have there?”

“The closest base is Zeyon stronghold, there are 4 MS squads there, one of them is already engaged in combat with scattered PS units”.

“Tell the troops in those coordinates to resist and send 2 reserve squads to contain the scarlet MS, I mean to contain breach”.

A few minutes after sending the orders, 2 squads left the Zeyon stronghold, one composed by 3 hunters and 1 lion, but the other one was composed by a 3 Douglas and 1 Douglas B -which had a red boar stamped on their MS shoulders- was an elite squad with selected pilots teamed up together precisely to eliminate any threat of penetration through the frontline.

“Here, Lt. Kwojang, Wildboar squad departing, we expect to establish visual contact with the enemy in 5 minutes”.

Said a the elite squad leader through the comms while the MS squads marched on a route through the forest followed by a few self propelled guns to support them from the rearguard.

The sensors went off thirty seconds after the squad leader said that.

The Cossack Warrior would be seen a mile away, approaching at high velocity with no other MS following it.

04.55 hours, December 30th, PU 457.

The advancing force of the AC advanced when an intel patrol informed that Tetsu's MS was moving to their position.

"Sir..."

Asked the squad leader of the Squad N° 2 (composed of hunters and a lion MS), the danger he represented was well known and having some fear was justified.

"We cannot allow the PS forces to gather, I'll face that one, you'll have to contain the other until I finish him".

Replied the leader of the Squad N° 1 (an elite squad composed of Douglas and a Douglas-B).

"Ro-roger", said the other, still worried of losing their number advantage.

With those words the elite squad moved forward to engage with Tetsu, spreading in a half moon formation with the Douglas-B of the squad leader in the extreme right, as they approached to Tetsu's MS the two mechas in the left extreme started shooting, hoping that Tetsu would have to face to them exposing a flank and rearguard to the others.

Meanwhile, the other squad set positions in a forest awaiting to ambush Nina's MS if it advanced to them. They weren't an elite squad and their mission was merely contain the opposing force after all.

"Be ready, guys, shoot only if the enemy approaches. Park, are the claymore mines, ready?"
"I only could set 2 of them"
"It will have to be enough"

When the enemy started shooting, Tetsu didn't flinch. The beam shots bounced off of the Anti-Beam Cloak as the Cossack Warrior brought up its left arm and fired the magnetic cable at the Douglas B. When the cable connected, the Cossack Warrior would stop moving and yank the cable, pulling the Douglas B forward before spinning it around like a make shift morning star at the other Douglas in a clockwise direction.

04.57 hours, December 30th, PU 457.

"This guy has an anti-beam!"

Yelled one of the Douglas pilot to the others through the comms after he saw how his shots seemed useless. But while they processed the surprising result of their attack, the PS opponent didn't waste time and counter attacked the squad, the Communist pilot went straight for the leader mecha and with a move disable it and also another Douglas. Although it wasn't clear if he had destroyed the enemy units, judging by the confusion, those two would be unable to fight or even stand up for some minutes.

"Garreth!, Lee!" yelled the other pilots, worried by their partner and leader, without him they have lost part of their initiative and would have to depend more on their reactions and training, their anger increased when they didn't receive any response but only the repetitive ping sound inside their cockpits alerting them that the enemy mecha was in front of them.

However, the rest of the squad, 2 Douglas, were still capable to fight, decided to live to their brand of elite squad, one shot at the feet of the Cossack, trying to disbalance the mecha by blowing up the gound under him, while the other charged with a heat knife trying to avoid the anti-beam technology by taking the fight to close quarters.

The cockpit shook as the Cossack was knocked off balance. Tetsu's eyes flashed yellow as the Cossack brought its heat sword up. It connected with the Douglas's Heat Knife, as the Cossack brought up its beam shotgun, firing several shots at the enemy mech's chest area.
