BakaTheIdiot
Viscount of Spaghetti Code
Name: Ashitaka Jintonei
Aliases: "Child of Loyalty" (Mokushujin translation)
Age: Won't specify, but "nearing 40."
Gender: Male
Character Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Race: Mokushujin (Human)
Organizations\Affiliations: Mokushu Trade Fleet
Guild Rank: Apprentice
Class: Samurai (Rōnin)
Appearance:
He stands at 1.82 Meters, and weighs 77 Kilograms.
Personality: Ashitaka is a generally reserved person, opting to be more polite and formal rather than friendly. He is very cynical, and tends to have a hard time making friends. That being said, he is a kind soul, and travels the lands in the hopes that he might be able to improve life for those less fortunate that most.
Backstory: Ashitaka is the first of five children. He was born without his right eye. He has three sisters and a brother, all of which were initially too young to work. In order to make ends meet, he began working with his father at age 19, as a hired blade. His grandfather, a few years before his passing, taught him everything he now knows about swordplay. Unfortunately, at age 22, a seemingly easy job went very badly, and Ashitaka's father was ultimately killed. He carries his father's ring as a memento.
After the incident, Ashitaka found work as a security firm for a trading fleet, and for a while, that was all he did. He would see the world on a weekly basis. However, after an incident in his home village, appropriately named "The Burning," Ashitaka, as well as his siblings and mother, were forced to flee Mokushu. He called this period of his life "the time of troubles."
Ever since then, he has worked as a traveling mercenary, sending his earnings to his siblings.
Weapons & Armor:
Katana(s), a chain whip, and a pocket of throwing knives. He wears traditional Mokushujin garb, which is light and comfortable, but offers little in the way of defense. He has two gauntlets: one made of steel on his left arm, which he uses to parry attacks, and one made of leather, allowing the user to take minor blows, without compromising his attack pattern. He wears either sandals or leather greaves depending on the weather.
This is one of his Katanas. He carries two.
Items & Personal Belongings: Ring (Father's)
Skills & Abilities:
-Mortal Draw;
a Self perfected technique. It allows one to quickly defeat the enemy by cutting off their head.
There is no defense. The mortal draw deals death.
That being said, the user must have a sheathed blade, and must be extremely close to the enemy for the attack to work without flaw.
-Firm Stance;
A stance assumed to be defensive, allowing the user to focus and and execute attacks with precision.
-Sharp Stance;
A stance with the tip of the blade facing the enemy. Excellent for thrusting attacks.
-Drawing stance;
Necessary for the Mortal Draw. A stance in which the user stands at the ready, with one hand resting on the hilt of the undrawn Katana.
Spells & Magic:
In his travels, Ashitaka has learned a few basic healing spells, but has no original magic of his own. That being said, he will partake in several traditional Mokushujin rituals, including rituals of protection and good fortune.
