  Alex is rebellious, manipulative, alluring and highly cunning. She knows what she wants and goes after it regardless of the consequences. Alex has no issue with using tactics to bend a person to her will using both her words and her body to get what she wants. She is brave and doesnt back down from a fight. She's spontaneous and tends to act on a whim leaving the consequences of her actions to be thought about/dealt with at a later stage. She can come off as quite cold but thats due to the walls she has built up from previous trauma.
  
  Alex is a partier and chooses to live life to the fullest, the way she see's it is that her time to have fun is now before shes older and has responsibilities. Alex's motto is "Live Fast, Die Pretty" and the proof is in the way she lives her life. Many people have commented on the fact that Alex acts as though she has a death wish, but Alex has never looked that far into her decisions.
  
  However, if you are lucky enough to gain Alex's trust she is a great friend to have. She is a great listener and can be just as good at giving advice. She's caring, passionate and would do anything for her friends, even if it meant putting herself in danger. Trust and loyalty are very important to Alex and if you break them, you may never get it back. She can go from your best friend to your worst nightmare in seconds if you cross her. Alex is quite shielded off and only those closest to her really know the sweet, caring and somewhat broken girl under her facade of the mean girl.

  Alex was born in Ireland to Robert and Julia Smyth. Alex’s mother suffered from postnatal depression and never took any interest in her daughter, rather she just saw her as a thing which “ruined her body, took all her money and ruined her fun”. Alex’s father on the other hand was devoted to Alex and made up for where her mother failed her, that was until the incident.
  
  Robert Smyth was arrested when Alex was 5 years old for beating their male friend, who had a thing for little kids, to death. He received life without the possibility of parole. Alex’s mother, distraught about everything that happened, more so the attention they were no receiving not what happened to her little girl, uprooted their entire life and fled to America with Alex. Julia went into a dark hole and began to cope with her depression using drugs, alcohol and men and their house became a revolving door of drunks and idiots who tended to beat both Alex and her mother. Alex does not have a great relationship with her mother and tends to stay out of her house as much as possible. It is due to watching her mother’s actions along with her own experiences that Alex has never had much regard for herself. No-one knows about Alex’s history and she prefers it this way due to her embarrassment of the situation.
  
  Alex dated Luke in the 8th grade, their relationship was turbulent at best and while it only lasted a short period of time the ups and downs of it made it seem century’s long, between Luke’s cheating and flirtatious nature and Alex’s disregard for her body and tendency to sleep with people to get booze, they quickly fell apart. Alex went on a downward spiral after her and Luke split as her mother got a new boyfriend at the time, a violent drunk who Alex believes is worse than any of her mother’s previous ones, Alex found drugs to escape and became addicted to the help that they gave her. She began to crash at parties and was always looking for her next fix. She doesn’t believe that she has an addiction problem and puts it down to just “living her best teenage life”. Alex od’d during the summer but thankfully survived with no lasting effects, this should have been her point to be scared off them but she still parties just as hard and with just as little disregard.
