Personality: Bonnie is the definition of a mom friend. She prides herself on her ability to carry a lot of responsibility, usually at once. Because of her propensity to take on too much at once, she always seems to be operating at least a 4/10 stress level, but she wouldn't change it for anything. She likes being someone that people know they could rely on, and she hates having to 'burden' other people by asking for help. While she is always ready to help, she definitely loves to take charge of projects and gets frustrated when people can't seem to stay on task. Creative: Out-of-the-box thinking is the only way to solve a lot of puzzles. Bonnie loves when a good plan comes together, but it's nothing quite like trying to formulate and develop the plan. The ultimate serotonin kick is when someone tells her "oh, I never thought about it like this/ seen it this way before." Undescribable. Bonnie takes pleasure in other creative activities such as music performance and painting.

Bonnie would stay up all hours of the night to study for an exam, just to prove that she could get the highest marks. She'd put in all this effort behind the scenes and then play it off as if she had "barely studied", or "only practice for a few minutes." She needed others to be impressed by her.
Over-cautious: Bonnie is the opposite of a risk-taker, she always says that taking risks gives her hives. She's always going to go with the safe bet. Unplanned outcomes are not welcomed in her life. Her friends make her feel like she's aged 30 years since meeting them since it seems like no one else has a bone of self-preservation in their body. Maybe it's just the mom-friend instinct, she wants to keep her more adventurous friends safe, so she feels like she has to overcompensate by being completely risk-averse.

History: Bonnie grew up the oldest child among 5 siblings. Her home was always loud and chaotic but her parents did their best to give them all the attention they needed. Both of her parents were elementary school teachers, and while they were great at it and they were passionate, it didn't exactly pay enough to support their family. Both of Bonnie's parents took on second jobs when she was young so they could make ends meet. Due to this, a lot of responsibility fell on Bonnie pretty early in life. She had to learn to manage her own life, along with with the rest of her siblings. She had very little in the way of social life for the majority of her upbringing, always trying to put her siblings first. As she got a little older, and her siblings got a bit more independent, Bonnie found herself with a bit more time on her hands and no idea how to spend it. She never had time for friends before, so she never really went out of her way to make any. With this newfound free time, Bonnie decided to join an after-school club. The only one really recruiting was the drama club, so that's where she went. Never the extrovert and unable to carry a tune in a bucket, she was relegated to the technical side, and Bonnie absolutely thrived there. There was an order and there were a hundred ways to optimize everything. She found comfort in the stage management position, eventually trying her hand at directing, set, sound, and light design. She wanted to try everything. When she went off to college, she got her undergraduate BA in theater design and production. Afterward, she transitioned immediately into her graduate program and she just finished her MFA in production management.

Maisha, upon first meeting, is incredibly hard to get close to. Cold, professional, and sharp as a blade, they maintain an air of superiority over those whom they interact with, no matter the relationship- be it a boss or a coworker, Maisha somehow manages to intimidate anyone they come in contact to. They are a very unapproachable person, exuding an aura of pure ice. Mysterious and quiet, it does not seem like Maisha's too quick to make friends- they're just there to do their job, get their money, and scram once work is over.
Maisha has an eye for spotting mistakes, and, if dissatisfied with their rectification, will personally fix it themselves. Organized and scrupulous, Maisha leaves no stone unturned in their pursuit for perfection. They have a quick mind and can remember most things they see or are told, and they will call a person out if their interpretation of events doesn't match up with theirs. Stubborn and bossy, Maisha takes no shit, unafraid to dish out verbal beatdowns if it suits them. Regardless of these facts though, they are a pleasant enough person to work with- as long as you don't get on their bad side.
Underneath that first impression though, people are surprised to find a goofy, vibrant personality beneath the trappings of a distant, aloof manager. Maisha is a combination of a music and tech nerd, and it shows. If you've ever had the pleasure- or, alternatively, the horror- of looking through their daily notes, you'll find little personal anecdotes scribbled in the margins, from ramblings about various types of technical equipment to goofy little drawings of their favorite musicians. They love making terrible dad jokes- just wait until you hear their joke about snails- and dispenses them out to their friends, much to their chagrin. Surprisingly, Maisha has not yet caught on to the fact that their jokes are, in fact, terrible.
Maisha's coldness is a result of the fact that They Do Not Know How To Socialize, a combination of years of failed conversations and unintentional oversharing. Due to this, Maisha reverts to projecting an unbothered personality in public, hiding the fact that she is (very) bothered.

After The Incident which resulted in Maisha dropping out of law school, Maisha decided to take an impromptu move to Las Angeles to get away from their mistake for a bit- at least, that was the plan before they encountered the band. The music struck a chord with them and they soon became a fan. After searching (read: stalking) the members' social media pages, they heard about the opening for a crew manager and decided to apply. They had been planning to go into music law, and they had a bachelor's degree, as well as former experience helping set up live concerts for bands in their hometown. Why not give it a shot and see what happened? Still, they never expected to actually be hired, which is why it was quite a shock when they were notified to have gotten the role.
Other:
Maisha's biggest fear? People seeing them for who they truly are: a self-destructive, selfish, manipulative liar, out to destroy the lives of everyone they care about.

History:
Maisha was born as the only child of two office workers, Lily Faruz and Mahdi Khanom. The couple had been desperately trying for a child for years, but after failure after failure had long since given up on having children. Lily's pregnancy was a surprise, and one the couple rejoiced over. However, as the pregnancy went on, Lily's health began to fail, sending her frequently to the emergency room. As the due date approached, Lily's already fragile physical and mental health began to unravel, falling into depressed spirals and becoming unable to hold in food for long periods of time.
Maisha was born premature, and as a result was incredibly tiny, even by baby standards. Maisha and their mother was kept by the hospital during the duration of a week to check for any health deficiencies, with Lily dying during this period. As a result of her mother's death and having few relatives that lived near them, Maisha was raised primarily by her father- well, "raised" in air quotes, seeing as how he mostly ignored them. Whether he regretted having a child or he blamed them for Lily's death Maisha was never certain of- perhaps a combination of the two.
Maisha's childhood, while relatively comfortable, could only have been described as scarce and cold. Maisha's father rarely ever expressed affection towards his only child, instead preferring to keep his interactions with them a simple "how was your day going?" and "dinner's on the table." No matter what Maisha did- dying their hair, staying out late, flunking their tests- their father didn't give them a lick of attention, ignoring them as though they were a fly on the wall. As a result, Maisha grew to view affection with a mixture of wild awe and suspicion, the act still unfamiliar to them.
Maisha was awkward at school, shy and slow to talk for fear of sounding stupid. Becoming the unofficial school loner caused them to withdraw further into their shell while maintaining an aura of cold. They went from 'that loser kid with no friends' to 'that cool, mysterious kid with no friends', which, while they were still lonely and touch-starved, was better than being regarded as an anti-social loser.
During this time period, Maisha became acquainted with the school's bands, as well as raves they would go to. This inspired a life-long love for music, leading them to write a few (terrible) songs and perform them with dreams of becoming a hit rock star. For some reason, however, this dream never came to fruition; however, Maisha got experience in arranging concerts and helping set up the stage for bands, which would prove crucial to her job as a crew manager later in life.
Maisha, in a desperate bid to finally get their father's approval after years of being ignored, got into Columbia and planned to pursue a degree in law, wanting to go into music law. Upon reaching law school, they fell in love and eventually started an affair with a professor of the university, John Crock. The affair lasted for two years before John broke it off, fearful the university board was onto him and wanting to convince his wife of him being faithful to their marriage. He ignored all of Maisha's attempts to talk it out with him, and after a final confrontation during one of his lectures, humiliated them in front of the class. This caused Maisha to spiral, running away from campus, drinking to excess, and committing a string of small, relatively harmless felonies before crashing a friend's car into the side of a light post.
While no one was hurt, Maisha's reputation was destroyed, and their scholarship was revoked, causing them to drop out of law school. Refusing to go back home with their tail between their legs as well as needing some space to think about what to do next, they decided to move to Los Angeles. Upon the way, they crossed paths with the band, and the rest was history.
Familial Relations (Past & Present):
Father- Estranged. Ever since dropping out, Maisha hasn't seen hide nor hair of their father, and they prefer to keep it that way.
Mother- Despite being deceased, Maisha holds a fond attitude towards her mother, imagining her as a gracious, caring women who would love her no matter what. As a child, she would oftentimes pretend her mother was alive and with her, taking care of her and saying that she was proud of Maisha.
Romantic Relations (Past & Present):
Prof. John Crock- John was Maisha's first serious romantic relationship, and as a result he was her everything. He promised that he would separate from his wife and marry them - the same old schtick- but as history showed, that was not to be. Crock would later lose his job because of his dalliance with Maisha, and as a result holds nothing but hatred towards Maisha.
Mary Khang- On the way to LA, Maisha had an affair with photographer Molly Khang. It lasted for three months at most, and was a period of her life where Maisha partied on the daily. It was a wild, fun time that Maisha very much needed after The Incident, and Maisha looks back on those memories fondly.
