Soon they were riding back into town, past the group that had just arrived. Connor took note of the man riding the over sized iguana, thing probably couldn't run fast for to long, lizards just weren't built for it. But the way he was in front of the group he was with made him noteworthy. But he wasn't here to start anything, not with that guy anyways. No, there was a piano man that he needed to repay.

Pulling Stepper up in front of the saloon, he waves for his boys to dismount and follow him inside. Connor didn't even bother tying up Stepper and just let his reigns drop, knowing he wouldn't move and if anyone tried to make off with him, they'd get a bite and a kick for their troubles. Entering the saloon, he quickly sweep his eyes across until he finds who he was looking for.

"Piano man!" he shouted, making sure to draw everyone's attention. "You and me got some unfinished business."

"I think I'll be fine on that front seein' as my mom is one of em. I'm lookin' to find the caravan she travels with." He smirked. Jonsi was highly hesitant to shake her hand when it was offered, he wasn't too fond of doctors. Bout hated them and for no particular reason, but to keep up with appearances he played along.

His eyes went wide when the saloon doors swung wide open and an ugly mug made it's presence all too well known again. "Yes! My room, just fine let's not wait a minute longer I need ya to check somethin for me, K?" The young man spoke quickly as he tightened his grip on Morgan and now the young Doctor and dragged them upstairs as fast as his frail body would allow. Which wasn't much as he was coughing up a bit of blood afterwards but it was enough to get them out of site again.
Soon as they were in the room he slammed the door shut and locked it. Sliding a chair in front for a bit of extra security.
"Think we'll be...safe...for a while at least." He panted. Undoing the corset and letting all manners of cloth stuffed underneath it to fall freely onto the floor. "Don't know if he saw us but even if he did it'll still take him some sleuthing before he figures out where ta check. And least he's only after you Mr. Morgan."

"EY!! Whoa! Just what do ya think yer doin?" A young pastor bravely approached the gang. Well, out of a mix of bravery, stupidity and his own gain. For this fellow was none other than the infamous conman himself, Sisceal Alexander. Or better known as Father Alexander.
He'd been in town trying to gain followers for his 'Cause'. Following the big dogs of the law as they handed out the new initiative in place. Hoping to attract some suckers into his, end of the world so repent any way you shtick when this commotion started up. They were gonna screw it all up for him!

"Excuuuuuuse me. What makes think you can just waltz into a place like this and start makin a mess? Where's your leader! I wanna talk to em!" Hopefully this went off with out a hitch. Or as he prayed as little blood shed as possible. If lucky he could get this to stop and it would boost his chances even further of making a solid profit in this town. But if even luckier than that, he could get himself an in with these odd folks. He weren't no fool. His smarts and their power coupled with that new policy enacted he could both get people to buy into his message even more AND gain a portion of the profit for helping turn in some bigger wanted figures. Not to mention gain a little protection for his own ass from the law.

“That he is only after me does not make it better, enrico and his family are down there and some of the folks frequenting that bar I know since I was a kid.” “Sigh, I have to lure him away and the best we could do for a trap is me curving back and you Jonsi lying in wait, if I even make it that far.” Miste Morgan worriedly glanced at the door trough which connors shouting could still be heard. “Miss Riley I apologize for us dragging you into a situation like that, fortunately he has not seen you with us so you will be able to extract yourself from this business."

Axeykins Axeykins DanniGage DanniGage

"Extract myself? I don't necessarily plan on doing that, nor do I care that I'm now associated with this. I'm a doctor, people usually don't hold it against one for doing their job." Riley would have laughed, but she didn't feel so amused at the moment. Instead she was more insistent on doing her job as a doctor, which she couldn't do in the middle of a bunch of chaos. "I think anyone who saw me with you will be happy to forgive me next time they're bleeding out from a bullet wound. Now, what can I do to help here?"

The ruffians stop and look at the man in confusion for a moment. They look at each other for a moment and one of the miscirants begin to chuckle. TOne by one they begin to chuckle and snicker before they begin breaking out into hysterical laughter.

"Dis man asks what and why."

One of the men grabs him by the collar of his shirt "Yet dis man hur' jus' don't understadn dat we jus' can! Like so." And with that the man pushes him out of his long shirt and puts it on. "How I look, boys?"

The other men jeer as the man shows off the shirt. Meanwhile another ruffian comes behind the father and pants him. The other ruffians laugh hysterically at the father, until suddenly he's tripped right over and dragged across the ground; then swung in across the ground until the father comes face to face with the giant lizard.

"Hew is dis'?" The man in beige asks

"Sum man wants ta' speak with ya', Lead." Says another horseman wearing black pulling on a rope that the father can feel a tug at his ankles

The man in beige looks down at the father, "Well. Hur' aye am, Father. Aye hope we ain't disturb ya' from yur' private "session""

The other men laugh at the vulgar joke

Looking into Rileys eyes Morgan sees determination or maybe stubbornness, whatever it is he knows the young woman
won’t back down on this, he closes his eyes a moment and sighs trying to think what to do now. “Jonsi how much weight does your name hold among your mother's family?”
Axeykins Axeykins DanniGage DanniGage

"Huh? Well that's an odd one to ask. Some in the caravan are weary of me but most are always happy to see my face again. She's got good standing with em, even the leaders so there's no problems there far as I know." His body was tense as he listened to the chaos below them. "Think if we least get out of here and a good distance across town that could buy us some time? Or even try n' make it to the next town over or natives settlement?" He sat down on the bed as a wave of nausea from the pain and dizziness reared it's ugly head.

Sisceal quickly slipped his foot away from the ropes and got back up onto his feet. Picking up his pants as he tried covering embarassment with an air of confidence. "You're quite a funny man aren't ya?" He chuckled as he dusted himself off. With his shirt now a plaything for whoever had ripped it right off of him he had to tuck the gun holstered around his belt farther down onto his hips to make it more accessible to a quick draw. Rather than the stealthy manner he could have while it was hidden.

"All I need is to talk to ya, alright? Can't have you tearing up the place like this! Not with certain policies just passed. Wouldn't you like to hear about them? I'm sure you'll find them leaning towards your benefit?" He crossed his arms across his muscled chest littered with scars. "Humor a poor Priest for only a moment and I swear it will be worth your while Sir."

"You won't travel well in your condition. You know that." Riley reminded him, seeing his face had grown pale once again. "Your stomach, it's full of bullets isn't it? You're being poisoned by them. There's no time to do anything about it here, not with that commotion going on downstairs. If it dies down soon maybe, but I don't like the odds of that happening." Riley thought for a moment, looking Jonsi up and down, then looking over to Morgan. "What are the chances there's somewhere we can hide out for a few days? Not good, I'll wager."
She let out a heavy sigh, rubbing at her temples with one hand as she now stared at the floor. It wasn't the trouble that bothered the woman, it was the risk that they would run trying to travel now. There weren't exactly prime conditions to operate, if the injured man would even allow her to do an operation like that. Some men just wouldn't let a doctor, let alone a woman, root around in their bodies like that, even if it meant saving them. Superstitions and stigma were to blame, too many inexperienced workers claiming to do the job of a doctor and too many doctor's charging more than a few pretty pennies, and, of course, too many old wives tales. "Mr. Morgan, did you have an idea in mind?"

Ok here is the plan. I sneak out the window and come to the front luring Connor and anyone he might have brought with him away, you two use the chance to get out of the saloon. Jonsi sets up two streets east from here, while Miss Riley visit Jonsi’s folks and gets as much backup as she can get on short notice. I make a u-turn somewhere and head back to Jonsi’s location. We ambush Connor and hope he was stupid enough to come alone otherwise if he has to much support we stall until Miss Riley arrives with the cavalry.
You guys are ok with that plan?

Oh my apologize. I didnt mean to complicate anything. If you need me to fix anything let me know. Also, the current situation and what it comes with it does intrigue me quiet abit

Dizziness was starting to settle in. It was faint and barely noticeable, but by God it was there. The outline of a town sat not too many miles away, taunting Fran through the haze of the heat. Unlike the haze, however, the town was inching closer and closer with every step the nomad took. But still, the dizziness that came with dehydration sat on the edge of Fran's brain, quietly threatening to take away the hope of reaching the town at a moment's notice.

For now, Fran just had to take it slow. No bursts of energy, no stopping, just slow movements.

The poncho that the amnesiac donned was stiff from grime and evaporated sweat. It added two hundred degrees to the already hot atmosphere, but Fran couldn't take it off unless they wanted to lose their skin to the sun. Rocks somehow kept finding themselves inside of Fran's boots; no doubt through some holes that they had yet to find. The raven's lips were painfully chapped, and their mouth felt like it was stuffed with steel wool. Not to mention the fact that sweat had long ago glued Fran's mask to their skin. It didn't seem like a bad thing, since it never came off, not even when Fran slept. But there was something grossly painful about leather and hot metal that clung to sticky and moist skin.

Eventually, Fran managed to make it to the edge of town. And while civilization was a Godsend due to its chances of having water and food, it was also an anxiety-inducing curse. Biting the inside of their cheek, the nomad adjusted their hood so that it completely covered their metallic face.

"Oh where, oh where, could my piano man be?" Connor sang/shouted in the main area of the bar, scanning the faces that were turned towards him. Not seeing his man, he strolls over to the bar keep. "Now, will you tell me where yer piano man went? I want him to play a little tune for me." As he spoke, he casually pulled out one of his revolvers and studied it. "I will find him, mark my words I will. He's got nowhere to go. Now, I'm gonna make this real easy on you. You either tell me where that injun went, or a mess is gonna be the least of yer problems. I hear blood and brains leave a terrible stain." As he finished making his threat, he looks the bar keep dead in the eyes. There was no fear in those eyes, no fear of a patron pulling a gun on him, or of the barkeep reaching for that shotgun he had. They were the eyes of a man that believed he was untouchable. No, they were the eyes of someone who knew he was untouchable.

"I'll be fine...I'll make it far as we need to. Haven't keeled over yet." He grumbled. Further undoing his corset to allow himself to breath more easily and let pressure off of his stomach. "An my mother isn't in town but no worries, I know many a caravan quite well. Around this side a the spine they're more friendly towards each other and know each other well, just tell em your a friend of the Raven's son. Someone among them will understand."
He rifled through the pockets of his trousers hidden under the many layers of petticoat. Pulling out a strange pair of thick goggles with multiple lenses. "I'm up for any plan ya got at this point. Jus set me up somehow with a more long distance weapon and we got a chance to drive him off. Or at the very least dissuade him from following us out of town for a while, enough to make a trail harder to follow. We may both know the wastes well but I still got tricks up my sleeve he ain't seen yet."

Riley nodded, silently listening to the two of them come up with some sort of plan. She was in it for the long haul now, it seemed. "When I go to talk to this caravan who do I ask for? I'll help you get where you need to go before I head over there. Need to make sure you get there safe." Riley pulled one of Jonsi's arms over his shoulder, helping him to stand. She shot a long look at Morgan before he left, wanting to say something more but all the words that left her lips were "Don't get yourself killed. I'll be sure to patch you up if you get hurt in all this though." She looked at him for a moment longer, frowning, but then turned back to Jonsi.
"We should get going. One more question though, how much should I say about this to the people at the caravan?"

The man in beige strokes his chin for a moment in thought. Looking up towards the skies for a few seconds.
"Aye cud spair a few sec'ns uv ma' time. Fur' a man of God shurly. No mo' jokes on da' man, ya' here?"
The rest of his posse agree reluctantly as they stand and look at the priest to see what all he has to say
"U hav' da' flore, Fawder. Whut iss da' Lowrds messij fur' us wanderin' kin?"
The beige man asks giving the priest a look of suspicion and humor. He admitted it was very unusal for anyone to try to appease their agressors when they're in the middle of a raid and pratically ignore it just to say a few words. Holy men were odd like that. The gutsiest people he ever knew on the planet. He had mad respect for them, for their lives were no doubt the hardest in his eyes.
"Aye's swear on ma' life, I ain't gunna sick'em on ya' neider. I wudn't dair hurt a man of God, less I be greatly reprimanded fur' it."

"Good. Good. Just what I was hopin ta hear." He breathed a sigh of relief as the man said he'd at least hear him out. "Alright, now listen here." He steepled his fingers and leaned in closer to the man. Making sure his tone was low and quiet to keep any prying ears outside of rowdy group from eavesdropping.

"There's a new incentive goin round these parts. Round the whole Waste eventually once they've made their rounds. Bounties have doubled for all criminals. An for the biggest wanted heads? Even tripled or more, plus." He paused for a moment to move in even closer. "If you're a criminal yerself? Not only do ya get that money but they wipe ye of all past crimes. No more lawmen breathin down your neck or nothin. Least till you get caught again." Sisceal cleared his throat and straightened up his stance.
"Now, bein a man a God and all. I've been goin round trying to help people toooo...repent. Join and donate to my cause to turn these criminals around. Offer some solace in a few kind words and lines a scripture. Before all this new incentives of course, but since it's gone into effect business has been boomin'. Yet, I feel like it's not quite as good an doin much as I could make it." His voice began to take on a more shady, pitching a deal sort of tone. Try and drop the hints of his true meanings to these people. Let it be out there that he wasn't exactly the holy man they may be thinking he was. Normally he'd try to keep it more a secret but after witnessing what they could do and weren't afraid to do iiiit was probably in his best interests to be a bit more open and truthful.

"What I'm offerin is a chance at makin some grand 'changes' round here. To benefit everyone, if ya know what I mean? But I can't help but feelin that...I could use a lil help from some men like you? Get the word across better, show an example a change, keep a poor 'ol priest safer out in the wastes? Maybe even...persuade a few a them bigger criminals to 'change their ways. Course with some benefits to yerselves as well. Some real good benefits."

"Anyone. The caravans are often very tight knit groups. As long as the word gets out they'll know. As for how much to tell them? ....I don't want any to get anymore involved than necessary. So only tell them we need some help and what to do." Jonsi reeled away from her help. Peeling his arm away from her as quickly as he could. Trying to distract from the motion by pulling his disguise back together. Wasn't like it would do much good with Conner in his usual face to face confrontation sort of mood but it may provide some chance at not being caught immediately. Enough of one to make it worth it. "Just give us the signal when everything is set up Mr. Morgan. And if you're in trouble."

The man in beige widens one eye at the priest is supspicion, but a smile curls on his face and begins to laugh aloud. His crew are confused but as their leader continues laughing they nervously begin laughing with him. This goes on for a moment before the man in beige stops and sees the rest of his crew are laughing.

"Wut cha'll laffin' at?"

The crew begin to falls silent

"Dis ain't no joke. Dis is da reales' deal any wun uv us is gonna git! I'ms not shur if ya'll 'ere thinkin' whut im's thinkin', but I'm thinkin' we's 'bout to head on the crazies' ride dis side uv da' Waste has ever seen."

The man in beige walks up to the father puts a hand on his shoulder, takes his hand, and proceeds to shake it.

"An' it's all thanks ta' dis man! Heheheheh! Give da' man his coat!"

The ruffian wearing it seems upset for a moment before taking off the priest's coat and hands it back over to him

"An' give dis man a steed!"

"We don't have enough of those, Lead." says one of the ruffians

"Then eider fin' 'em wun 'er let 'em hitch a ride wunna ya'll. Either way, dis man is gunna be riden in styyyyle Hahahahahaha!"

"I'm glad we came to an understandin so quickly good sir." His smile grew bright and wide as he slipped his robes back on. Giving a slight smile and wave to the few groups of onlookers watching. Pretending as if he had miraculously soothed these hooligans. Made them see differently. See the light! Wasn't too hard with the newfound glimmer in their eyes, glimmer a gold that is.

"Thank you for the offer of a steed but I've already got my own. So I gotta politely decline." He looked to the large lizard beasts with a hard gulp. "Not meanin' to insult either but think I just prefer horses instead." He ran a hand through his shaggy locks to slick them back proper again. Bringin' back the fine outter polish of an innocent man he'd so perfected.

"Now, why don't we go find some place to talk further. For a more...private spiritual 'healing' place. If you're understanding my meanin' eh? I can discuss matters of the sort far better that way and we can come up with a plan for us?" Sisceal was hamming it up big time in front of the crowds. And they were eating up every single word of it. Hot damn had he scored massively in this pathetic backwater swamp.
