“What the hell are you doing up on that roof boy? Wait no time for that something important happened I am coming up and you better come down so we can talk more quietly.” After Morgan was let into the house by the younger of Miss Maxwell’s daughters and greeted her appropriately he rushed up to Jonsi’s sleeping quarters. Axeykins Axeykins

Jonsi held his tongue till Morgan was up there with him before answering. He didn't feel much like shouting down at the man. "Got to feelin real bad again. Needed some fresh morning air before the heat set in again." He sighed. Wrapping his scarred and skeletal frame with the scarf he'd brought up with him. "What's with the face? Somethin urgent come up?"

Seeing him begin to move more the group sped up their pace. The rag tag leader of the bunch giving a whistle to them to let em know to close in the gaps. "Ya got nowhere to go ya bastard an we got far more men than you can handle so may as well give up Now!" He called out confidently. Acting as some big hero as he took initiative to kick his horse and trott faster towards the man.

Well, maybe they were stupid. Connor turned around in the saddle to face the group of men, and pulled out his lever action rifle. "Good! That means I'm not going to waste anything!" He shouted back as he chambered a round in and took aim at the leader. Hell, he didn't really aim it, he just pointed the barrel in their general direction. The bouncing caused by Stepper was to much to get a clean shot, even when standing so his legs could absorb some of the shock it was far to shaky. But as the man had said, there were far more people in that group, and there was only one of him. Which meant those were some good odds on hitting something. A horse, it's rider, didn't matter.

A deafening shot rang out. Not from the barrel of the Devils Man's gun though. From a frightened youth witnessing the charge being led. The man headed straight towards Conner gripped his chest, blood pouring from his mouth. He couldn't even speak, only gasp desperately for air in the confusion.
"I....I ain't goin out like this. I don't care if you're blood no more. This ain't nothing but a suicide mission an you knew it. Nobody goes after im and lives to tell the tale." The young lad who fired the shot spoke out as he moved closer to Conner. Keeping his gun trained on the group he had been riding with. "Nobody! Now. Call me young and dumb as Hell but people that follow him, I heard a whole nother story bout that." Turmoil erupted amongst the group immediately as some began to agree while others blood boiled from what act was being committed right before their eyes.

Connor pulled quickly pulled Stepper in as he saw the shot go off, a bit awkward considering he was sitting backwards on the horse. A slow smile crept across his face as the boy walked over. "Now that's a good choice you made there, son," he told the scared boy. He saw the turmoil that had caused the group as clearly as anyone else, and he got an idea. "I'm gonna give you one chance at this. Either you come with me, and do as I say like the boy. Or I kill you right here and leave your corpse to be picked over by the buzzards. The choice is yours. Live or die, don't matter to me." As he spoke, he turned Stepper around and leaned forward in the saddle, acting as if they hadn't just been following him and about to start shooting. However, if one was observant, they would notice his muscles tensed and ready to raise his rifle at a moments notice.

“The world gone insane and painted an even larger target on your head. New bounty policy higher amounts and supposedly pardons for those criminals playing bounty hunter themselves. Sounds somewhat suspicious if you ask me and you can bet there are enough greedy bastards after your ass out there right now.” Axeykins Axeykins

Murmurs rippled through the crowd. Some stood undecided while others took a far more defensive stance.
"I know what I'm choosin." The boy declared in a far more confident tone this time. Backing himself up closer to Conner. Though not too close, the pressure of his intimidation was too strong for him to stomach yet. "Don't know bout all you but....bein round him has gotta be the safest. Seein with his reputation and skills. And I ain't planned on dying out here over some foolish attempt at the rewards!"
"Boy just what you thinkin! get back over h-" As one of the elder members stepped forward he shot again. Barely grazing the man's shoulder.
"NO. I know what i'm doin and it's choosin the side that has the best insurance! Ya can't tell me all of ya don't see it?"

There was another intense moment of silence. More raised their guns but a good number began to break away and move towards Conner's side. Scared as Hell but they knew for damn sure they wanted to live more than chase a fever dream.

"Gone insane or finally come to their senses and grown a pair big enough to deal with us big headhunts?" He responded in a rather distasteful tone. Shuffling himself to the side of the roof. "I got no doubts the fat cats are up to somethin in whatever this 'new policy' thang is. It'd be strange if it wasnt!....it's gonna make life even harder than need be for sure for me now though. And...your family here if I don't get to leavin soon." With the grace of a lame duck he hopped off of the lowest place on the roof. Pitifully remaining on all fours on the ground till his ankles and back stopped screaming at him as Morgan approached. "Don't know if I can leave though is the problem. With the hotter months approaching I won't make it far. or least safely far enough away and not wind up ravenger food out in the wastes before I can hit the nearest town or worse."

Before long, everyone can hear something. The sounds of hooves. Lots of hooves. Coming from behind them. As they allturn to look, the sand obscures their vision. Seconds later, they can see silhouettes, all bunched together side-by-side and all of them riding on something. Horses no doubt. Whoever these riders are, are still coming their way to the crowd.

Two eyes glinted evilly at Jonsi making him feel even more uncomfortable and miserable than he already felt, Morgan at least managed to hold a poker face, but
Ines mouth was stretched into an entirely too enthusiastic grin for Jonsi’s liking.
“I must say Misses Maxwell I had my reservations considering the material we were working with, however your expertise has truly delivered a stunning result.”
“Ah you're flattering me Mister Grou, though I must admit I was artistically inspired with this particular project.” “Sigh, could we please get over with this already”, jonsi spoke with resigned suffering in his tone. “Of course how could I refuse the request of such a fine young lady?” Jonsi muttered curses toward Morgan while Ines was giggling mirthfully. Jonsi turned back to the mirror taking a final look at “herself”.

"I'd appreciate not bein referred to as the material you had ta work with...this is embarassin enough Mr. Morgan." The young man let loose an exasperated sigh. Staring back at him through the mirror's reflection was a lovely young woman. Although, it wasn't Ines or any of Miss Maxwell's other daughters. No, the young maiden was in fact him. His long light blond hair trimmed up and brushed nicely into fine curls. Light pink dusting of blush on his cheeks and a slew of powder in an attempt to make his face look fuller. Rounded off by a nice lining around his eyes, rosy lipstick and a slight bit of mascara to lengthen his eyela, shes. It was all meant to compliment a fine silken dress complete with petticoat to extenuate his hips further. It was far easier in giving him curves than stuffing the corset even further. The man was thin as a board. Not giving them much to work with while trying to give him a noticeable bosom without fabric popping out the top amusingly. As well as ensuring that he wouldn't get overheated in this attire.
Must have been in one Hell of a fevered state when Morgan suggested this as a means to hide, unable to comprehend exactly what he meant. Though had to smack himself for not taking heed to the devilish smile on the man's face. It was dumb of him to not notice shenanigans afoot. "So now what? You gonna get me out a town like this? Or am I s'posed to pose as one a Miss Maxwell's daughters or what Morgan?"

"Good choice." Connor said with a wicked grin spreading across his face. He turned towards those that remained, that same smile still on his face, his teeth showing. Raising his rifle, he continues. "Now let's see how loyal you boys can be." Firing off a shot, he hit one of the few that refused to join him in the stomach. Then he pointed the barrel at the sky, and motioned for his newly acquired lackies to finish it. If they were willing to kill their own out of fear of him, then he could keep them under control. That being said, he laid a calloused hand on the boy that had started it all. "Not you, I know you'd do it."

Riley had just gotten into town, adjusting the wide-brimmed hat resting upon her head and shifting her bag of medical tools from one hand to the other. Apprehensively she approached the saloon, pushing her way inside. Careful not to look anyone in the eye, or stare too long, the woman pushed her way to the bar. Wordlessly she took a seat at one of the stools and placed her bag neatly in her lap. A moment passed before she waved to the bartender, grinning sheepishly. "Evenin'! Got any whiskey? I'd take a glass, neat. I'm also looking for a place to stay if that information's not too much trouble." Riley swallowed hard, suddenly acutely aware of how strange she was to this town. A drink would help soothe her nerves, hopefully. Surely, though, someone would have need of a doctor. There'd yet to be a place she'd come across yet to be lacking in people shooting and stabbing one another.

Hannison tiredly sit down in a barstool, his clothes were covered in dust from a long day of work loading wagons at the storehouse and he just wanted to get some drinks to wet his throat and afterwards hit the bed at home.
Suddenly he however felt revitalized again as his eyes spied a rare sight, short blonde hair framed a stern expression, that nevertheless exuded a hint of shyness as the eyes were diverted downward, while not plentiful hints of femininity hidden under layers of cloth teased Hannison fantasy. He had often been the butt of friendly jokes from his coworkers for his taste of strict woman, but that did not deter Hannison from liking what he liked. All to soon this particular sunshine passed by renting a room upstairs for the coming week ad Hannison could hear, put in a good mood he decided to visit the saloon more often these coming days maybe he would get lucky chance to talk with the lady.

Hushed murmurs echoed through the crowd as yet another group rode into town. Though, these caused quite a bit more of a stir. They looked a might bit harsher than the typical groups coming through of late...least most of em. People attempted to go about their own business as best as possible to avoid causing any offense. Greeting these strange newcomers with uneasy smiles as they rushed along. Ducking away wearily into their businesses and the saloons and brothels quickly as they could

"Morgan...how long do I gotta keep this charade up?" Jonsi flounced his way over to the piano. Leaning over it with a sigh as he spoke to the man. It was all he could think of doing to alleviate a bout of dizziness hitting as usual. "It's working but....I'm gettin some weird looks around here. I thought this was suppose to draw attention away from me. Make me less noticed." He grumbled, looking pallid and frail as ever. Rubbing his stomach mindlessly as his deep scars ached him once again. "Been thinkin bout how to get out of here and had an idea that maybe we could find the caravan my mom's in. Shouldn't be too hard...n' I heard word a someone coming into town that may be able to help! If you don't mind talkin to a conman that is. Though it'll cost ya, I've only got so much gold to spare."

The boy stiffened up as he felt the outlaw's hand on his shoulder. But he nodded in understanding none the less.
As the shot was fired off, several of those who stated they'd join him backed off. A few even running for the hills along with some who refused to join him. Too cowardly to even look back. There were however, several who took on his challenge and fired at anyone refusing to join. Any too cowardly or stubbornly resisting. The one Conner had shot being their first target in it all. From there it spread through the group till none but the most promising to be loyal remained.

Riley aimed to retire to her newly rented room when she passed by the piano, what caught her attention was hearing a deeper voice than you'd expect coming from a woman by the piano. Upon hearing it RIley stopped, turning to the pair and looking over Jonsi before strolling over. It was the voice that caught her attention but now it was the pallor on his face and flawed disguise bringing her over.
“Hon, you’re looking awful sick.” Riley said, having followed Jonsi to the piano. “Pardon the intrusion, but I couldn’t help to have overheard you.” She eyed him up and down for a moment, an eyebrow raised at his disguise. His disguise would have worked from a distance but up close Riley could see the roguish features in his face and hear his deep voice rather clearly. Silently the woman decided to help him with it, there were a few things here and there that they would have to work on.
“Miss, I’m a doctor. Perhaps you’d allow me to help you out, I might could also help with this caravan you were discussing.” Riley had always had a bit of a soft spot, and right now it seemed Jonsi could use a helping hand. Who didn’t love an underdog? Besides, if he was dressed as woman there had to be a good story behind that. “Please, I just rented a room if you and your friend would come with me. I’ll look you over and we can discuss things more privately and, uh, not in the open air of a crowd.”

That smile stayed on Connor's lips as the slaughter began. Those that ran he didn't bother with, they wouldn't be able to do anything, and the story they'd tell would be worth far more than their death. And as the last shot was fired, and the last body dropped, Connor turned to his newly acquired posse. "Let's get to work." With that, he spurred Stepper into motion, and took off back the way he had just come. Famine had most likely dipped after what had happened at the saloon, but that piano man had no where to go.

Jonsi quickly adjusted his dress as the stranger approached them. Though too little too late seeing as she gave him the strangest look. He didn't quite look the most convincing up close...and definitely didn't sound the part. Clearing his throat he threw his voice into a higher register. Not like it would matter talking to this woman now but it would keep others from catching on. "Morgan, swweeet...hhheart. I'll be just a moment." He struggled to get out such a ludicrous name to call the piano man as he turned to face her. "Do you know somethin' bout the gypsy caravan's round here of late?" Jonsi cocked his head to the side curiously. Placing one hand on his hip while the other remained wrapped around his stomach. Contemplating what to do.

It was a brash decision to listen to a stranger who happened in on their conversation out of the blue, but it was finally a stroke of luck in their favor for once. Least that's what the hope was. Certainly the first friendly face other than Morgan and Miss Maxwell n' her daughters he'd seen in the town. Shifting uncomfortably from one fot to the next he answered hesitantly. "Now I'm no fan of any doctors, but I supposed this time couldn't hurt. I've just rented a room as well upstairs too if you wanna go there as well. If that'd be alright with you that is. N' you as well Morgan? Hate to drag you into this as well but...you've been such a help in this situation. Mind helping a lady out just a bit more, hm? I promise there'll be a reward of sorts." Jonsi leaned over and looped his arm around the piano man's. No was in Hell he was goin alone or without a little insurance in this one.

"C'mon boys!! You heard the boss man! Let's ride!" The young and now most loyal follower to Conner fired of shot of his own into the air. Giving his horse a stern kick in the sides to get it going. Catching up with Connor and keeping pace with him as the others soon fell in behind him on their crusade back towards Fort Drake. They had no idea where he was leading them or to what he was leading them to but they were damned determined to follow it out.

"Well, I came into town with one. I suppose I might have a friend there depending on your reasons, but I wouldn't call them gypsy to their faces. Friendly warning, that's how you get yourself stabbed or your wallet lifted. Not all of them care that much though, just be careful." Riley placed a hand on her chin with an amused smile playing on her lips, offering a small but clear laugh. Jonsi seemed a bit boyishly naive to her, though she was certainly naive herself. She knew it was naive to go helping any old stranger in whatever town she happened upon, and it'd bitten her in the rear before, but still, Riley was a helper. "Your room, of course. Best you're comfortable. Name's Riley Scott. You can call me Miss Riley or Doctor, one's as good as the other." She stuck a hand out to Jonsi aiming to shake his hand, then extended it to Morgan as well. "You must be Mister Morgan, pleasure to meet you." Morgan was offered a warm smile as her eyes studied the man. It was a new town and a new start, she'd better start making friends fast. She needed supplies, and they'd said something about a conman. Risky, but there were some things she couldn't get her hands on so easily.
Speaking of it being a new town, Riley felt the other patrons watching them. Whether it was for Jonsi's disguise or Riley's accent and being new to town drawing the attention was certainly up for debate, but not good for any of them. "Yes, you room works just fine. I can see what I can do for you and you can answer some simple questions for me." Jonsi wasn't comfortable going alone, didn't trust her. That much was clear. She wasn't surprised, just hoped she could earn some trust. That didn't make her less nervous either, taking a moment to remind herself of the pistol and knife she had hidden on her. Not much, but it would be some comfort at least. "Lead the way."

The dust clears and several rowdy-looking men riding on horse back, but the one leading them is a man wearing a long beige coat with a flat-hat. And is riding on top of a large almost man-sized lizard. They make their way further into town as almost all the towns folk look at these many horsemen with caution. A few steps more and the man with the beige long coat, raises his hand in which all the men behind him pull their horses to stop. The many horsemen stand in the middle of the entrance of town for awhile. The towns folk stand their aswell, looking at these strangers, ever more cautiously. A few moments pass until the man in the beige long coat averts his attention to the ground. In front of him is a young boy no more than six, petting the snout of the lizard. Everyone looks at this kid in surprise, shock, and fear. Even the horsemen gibe each other strange looks. The man with the beige coat however seems rather impressed.

"Yu lik' it?" The man asks the kid

"Yes sir! I never seen a lizard this big! Where you find it?" The boy asks elatedly

"Boy, get back over here!" Yells a slightly overweight woman. Possibly kids mom or guardian. She doesnt come any further in fear of her own life.

"Aye's fownd it owt ner' Lucy's Pike. Foht dis thang wit' ma' bear hands fer a gewd 'our." Replies the man with a hint of pride in his tone.

"Boy, get over here now..." the woman says with urgency

"Dontcha wurry ma'am, Aye wont hert ya' boy" the man assures with a crooked smile and a sinister glint in his eye. "Aye reelly ohtta thank ya' boy."

"Whatever for, sir?" The boy asks curiously

"Fur feedin' it" The man says with a sinister tone

The men behind him begins to smirk and chuckle with evil intent

Once the man says that the woman begins to sob quietly

"Feeding it, sir?" The boy asks even more curiously

"Aye ain't gave it a speck to eet since aye fount'it. An' dat was well over tuw weeks ago." says the man

"But I haven't anything to feed it, sir" the boy says

"Oh yu'll do jus' fine." The man says flashing the young boy a crooked look

And before anyone can react the lizard opens its maw and the boy disappears. The townsfolk are in an utter state of shock and horror. A mass can be seen going down the lizards throat.

"That ohtta do'ya sum gewd" Says the man as he pats the lizard

"NOOOOOOOOOOO-" The woman tearfully screams out before her head is quickly blown off by the man in beige who's holding a handcannon.

"Well boys..." The man looks back at all the horsemen behind him. All of them are filled with excitement and anticipation as they are waiting to get set loose. "It's lewtin' time." The man finishes. And with that the horsemen ride pass the man in beige jeering as they pull out their firearms and shoot up whatever stands. The townsfolk try to escape and hide from these mad riders, but to know avail. Some of the riders dismount and chase after whoever thinks they have a chance at making it out of town. The riders kill the weak and brave. And take whatever spoils they want. And burn the scraps. Nothing but the screams of terror, the laughter of maniacs, sound of guns, and the crackling of fire filled the air. But no one heard them.
