Ulfric Ellrulfsson
Earl of Gothland
Greetings from across the High Seas,
I am Úlfric Jarl, son of King Ellrúlf, prince of the vikingr leidang Úlfhéðnar, heir of Göthland's medieval throne, a clan leader of Norsemen and their kin. You may address me as Ulf, Ulfy, or Prince Ulfric, but my birth-name is Üngrúlf Ellrúlfssön, and it is my pleasure to meet and greet you. It is luck or fate that brings me here to this fine display, though I was also impressed by your coat-of-arms and its blue and white symbolisms. Perhaps the gods have brought me to your doorstep for a purpose. Or perhaps it's just a coincidence. I shall have to wait to find out. In any case, I recently just left another community because I didn't like the members or the staff. I felt they were just using me for my talents and taking advantage of me without being very friendly or fair to me as a fellow kinsman. So I left their stinking heap after a great battle in which 42 of my best men were slaughtered by 500 legionaires. I and six of my closest clansmen are all that remain. Now I am here to reform my leidang, rebuild my longship, and continue on with my Viking conquest, as my story has not yet finished. So what say you? Are you willing to welcome a Norseman into your circle? I am a pagan, yes, with many gods. But I see all of them amongst you, and they are welcoming you all to drink with me and feast at my table, for I am Úlfric the Brave, son of Ellrúlf the Great, and I bid you all greetings from Göthland.
