  Osian was raised to look like perfection, and as much as he wanted to fully rebel against his father. He decided that was still an important thing to hold onto, so he very much cares about how he looks. He likes to make sure his outfits look crisp and all put together and not a hair on his head is out of place. He also enjoys the flashier outfits, often wearing lots of jewelry-not to show off, he just likes how it looks.

  Positve:
  -Respectful: To those older and that he deems fit of it, he's incredibly respectful towards. He's actually respectful to everyone at first until he thinks they don't deserve it, like if they're an asshole or something.
  -Incredibly Intelligent: While he doesn't have photographic memory, it's almost like he does given how easily he's able to retain the information. He finds school easy and wishes that it would challenge him more.
  -Reliable: If he thinks you're worth his time, he'll always keep his word and defend you. You want him to show up to a dumb tournament? He'll be there, even if he thinks he could be doing much better things with his time.
  Neutral:
  -Protective: He cares about those close to him greatly. He'll do whatever to make sure that his friends are alright and won't hesitate to step in front of them.
  -Silver Tongued: Osian finds it so easy to talk with people. He's learned how to sweet talk and get someone to love him, even if they do hate him, because...he is an asshole. He knows exactly how to twist words to make it sound like something the other wants to hear, when in reality, it probably benefits him more than the other.
  -Stubborn: He is the definition of stubborn. He believes he's right and will argue with anyone and die on that hill. Lets be honest, he's rarely wrong anyway.
  Negative:
  -Asshole: He'll come off as nice at first, but that's really just to see if you can help him at all. He doesn't see the point in having super close friends, that's not the political game anyway. If he doesn't think you can somehow help him in the future, he's most likely not giving you the time of day. He's only ever had his father as a ruler to take 'inspiration' from, he really doesn't know how other rulers act. He thinks that if you're too kind, you'll be walked all over and taken advantage of, as so many people tried when he was younger. So to prevent that, he's an asshole.
  -Arrogant: He knows he's smart and he is not afraid to flaunt that. He doesn't mind being the only one to answer questions in class and often rolls his eyes if the teacher calls on someone else. He knows that people find him goodlooking, and he's greatful his kingdom is warmer than most, meaning he can point out that 'weakness' while sweet talking people.
  -Hopeless Romantic: Now this isn't normally a negative trait, but it's viewed as such by Osian. He 100% believes that when he finds someone, it'll be like love at first sight, or almost anyway. Whenever he's alone, he'll sometimes try to think of what being with his significant other would be like, and often blushes while in his own little daydreams.

  backstory

  Osian's background is kinda, unique. His mother and father never got along, and his father sent Osian and his mother to live in a completely different home. It was there that her mother told him all about her true love, as she had been put into an arranged marriage and had never felt true love for his father. It was then that his ideas of romance had started to blossom. He loved his mother very much, but unfortunately for him, she'd pass away by the time he was 12. He would then be sent back to his father, who would either ignore him or berate him for not being good enough, smart enough, fast enough, anything he could berate his son for he did. Osian eventually grew tired of his father and ignored him in return. He acted like anything he said didn't bother him, and slowly turned just like him-although Osian would never view it that way. Eventually his father got sick, and Osian was only 15 when he took on a majority of the duties as a Lord, with trusted advisors as the 'king' but soon became the sole heir of the Aestra home. A lot of the advisors and even other lords and ladys tried to take advantage of him, but he quickly showed them that he was a force to be reckoned with. He quickly became one of the richest, smartest, and kind of feard kings in Kilan, and is only going to college to further how smart he is.

  Maria Aestra: His mother. Osian was incredibly close with his mother. He misses her dearly and constantly wonders if he's making her proud or disappointed. He has made a national holiday for his mother, as she had always done well for the people of their kingdom, and he wants to make sure he honors her as well as he's able to.

  The kingdom of Kilan is well known for their rulers, and not always in the best way. The past 8 generations have all had fairly harsh rulers and at first people hoped that Osian would change that, but with the rumors, a lot of people think he poisoned his father, the people aren't sure he will be. Other than that, Kilan is very large in the fishing market. Living off the edge of an ocean makes that fairly easy. But they're also big in trading. They have a great navy...as well as you can in medieval times, and some of the most rare fish around. People come from all over for the trades and fish.

  Theodluin always dresses professionally. He makes sure that everything is set before going out in public. Windy day? His hair is like rock hard set with hair spray. He's not that flashy, but does enjoy some basic jewelry every once and a while. The fanciest things he owns is most likley his pens. He has fancy pens that fit with each outfit, and doesn't let anybody else use them.

  Positive:
  -Leader: Theodluin can instantly gain attention and command a room when he needs to. He knows when he's with someone of a higher stature than him, and is careful to not disrespect them.
  -Excellent Professor: As great of a leader he is, he's an even better professor. While he's been the type to be a little scary to most students, those who took the chance to get to know him and ask for help will know that he'd do anything to make sure his students pass, as long as they're actually trying. He's more than willing to stay in his office later to help teach you one on one for whatever class you're in with him.
  -Caring: While it takes him a bit to get here, he very much cares for those he's close with. For those incredibly important to him, he'd drop anything to be able to help them.
  Neutral:
  -Strict: He is incredibly strict. He doesn't agree with his wife for constantly spoiling Kimo, and did his best to make sure he was still discipline. He brings that over with his students as well. He doesn't really extend deadlines except for extreme circumstances.
  -Proud: He prides himself in having the highest scores in the mathematics program at Grand Ridge. He's not a bragger, but also won't hesitate to accept compliments on how great his teaching is.
  -Reserved: He tends to be mostly on his own. More so to keep up with him and his wife not truly being together. He's rarely seen being all romantic with his wife, except for events where he'd need to be, so he tends to kind of stick to himself.
  Negative:
  -Apathetic: He really doesn't care about your sob stories or how you miss your family so you need an extra day for an assignment. Students quickly learn that guilt tripping does not work on him, in fact he almost seems to enjoy when people come crying to him....
  -A Little Sadistic: He's not extreme with it in the slightest. But he often makes mental notes and bets about when certain students will come crying to him about needing an extension and when they'll drop their class for an 'easier professor'. He finds joys when he gets class transfer letters. Very rarely, typically to students who have always been able to worm their way into getting what they want, he is incredibly strict with them. He'll make some slight snide comments indirectly saying that they possibly need a tutor to get extra help if they're having such a hard time comprehending one of the easier subjects in his class. He loves pissing those students off and making them drop out.

  backstory

  The Qinrel family has been a councilman for a very long time. While some weren't in treasury, their family has always had a knack for mathematics. Theo was just very young when he started doing math with his father, and only slightly older when he'd join in on a few meetings with him. He absolutely loved math, a total nerd, and has even created some new formulas used in the modern teachings (something I as a writer will not be going into because....fuck math) It was here that he was offered a change to go to Grand Ridge, and here where he met his future wife, Meria. At first, Theo was deeply in love with her. They quickly got married, and had Kimo. But as the years went on, he just...wasn't interested. They started fighting, never around anyone, and constantly bickering. After a few more years, Theo was given the chance to become a professor at Grand Ridge, Meria was already quite good at mathematics, and could easily take over during the school year-with a few meetings needing Theo present as well. The separation gave both of them time to think. They'd stay married just in name, but really only show themselves together for events and things like that. Once Kimo was living on his own, they'd fully separate. Luckily, no body suspects anything, as Theo is typically quiet and not incredibly showy with emotions in the first place. He hops to keep it that way.

  Kimo Qinrel: His son. Kimo and Theo get along, but do also often butt heads. Kimo is a non-stop talker, and likes to push his fathers buttons. He enjoys the talks with his son where Kimo just rants about the newest thing he's learned, and is looking forward to Kimo's first year at Grand Ridge.
  
  Meira Qinrel: His wife. They got along amazingly at first, but definitely got married and had a child much too soon-the only reason they only ever had Kimo. He thinks that she spoils Kimo far too much, giving the child almost everything he could want. They both still care for each other deeply, infact they both rarely argue and fight at all anymore. They've just grown more and fallen out of love.

  Haven’s royalty consists of a standard monarchy: there's a King and a Queen, Dukes and duchesses. Those sort of positions. But they also have a council of six leading figures. Each the head of a different government. They are called the councilmen. And their power is second to the King himself. Other than that, the ruling style is relatively normal. The current King is a relatively fair and unbiased man. He is not very direct however, which leads to many injustices getting past his gaze. The queen is a finicky sort, her worries for the countries have mostly been brushed off. Haven‘s commoners are usually kept separate from the high class people. Living in or even near the high class areas of Haven is extremely expensive. Too expensive for commoners. And most non noble families who try to move there are hazed by their neighbors until they move. All except a few houses were able to withstand this treatment and actually make a name for themselves. It’s not all bad for Haven's commoners, they are an accepting and culture rich community. Haven has a very large territory full of bountiful plant life. However, about half of it is uninhabited. With its large array of available herbs, there are also a multitude of poisonous plants. Haven dominates the medicinal industry and the poisons industry.

  Kimo loves dressing proper but...improperly at the same time. He'll be wearing his formal outfits, but he'll put his coat around his shoulders, maybe wear a loose tie, or even roll up the sleeves of his easily wrinkled shirt-something that bothers his father endlessly. Same goes for his hair. He loves to style it, and then just shake his head to mess it all up.

  Positive:
  -Brilliant: Kimo is incredibly talented, in a multitude of things. He can speak 8 different languages fluently, plays too many instruments to count. He has photographic memory, so it definitely makes things easier, but his proudest talent is his ability to do practically any math in his head, no matter how complicated it is. He is very rarely wrong, and if he is, someone else messed up a number.
  -Earnest: Kimo means everything he says. He's naturally kind, but he's also not afraid to call somebody out if they're being rude-or his favorite-are wrong. It's sometimes to hard to tell if he's joking or not, but one can usually tell by his mouth-if he has a smirk or not.
  -Sociable: He'll pull anybody into a conversation-even those that don't like it. He's one of the few people that can get the always angry Osian to let out a small smile-and he LOVES telling him that. He enjoys chatting, especially if gossip is involved.
  Neutral:
  -Adventurous: Kimo is not afraid to take risks. Whether that be speaking up during his fathers meetings, or exploring places he probably shouldn't be exploring. He rarely passes on an opportunity to voice his ideas, learn something new, or even see something new. He almost always get a certain look in his eyes that always makes his mother go "No."
  -Curious: As stated above also, he'll always look for something new to learn. If he doesn't know the answer to something, he'll ask or study until he does. Teachers honestly love him-sometimes-because he'll immediately raise his hand if he wants clarification on something.
  -Forthright: Sometimes a little more blunt than meaning to, Kimo tells what's on his mind. Sure, it's gotten him in trouble before-but only a light scolding, nothing actually serious. He likes getting straight to the point as sometimes that's what's needed to get your point across, and that's exactly what he wants to do.
  Negative:
  -Facetious: Another reason it's hard to tell if he's joking or not, is because he's almost always joking around. He rarely takes things seriously-except his words-as he enjoys messing around. He doesn't think you need to be 'proper' and 'quiet' all the time, in fact, he challenges that rule quite often.
  -Spoiled: Growing up in a place with just him and surrounded by loads of wealth, he often doesn't realize that he is spoiled. He's almost always gotten what he's wanted, he's not a brat about it, but he does get a little frustrated when he doesn't get his way-especially if he believes he needs it for one reason or another.

  backstory

  Kimo was born and raised in the lands of Haven. His father has been on the council for as long as he can remember. He's even joined in since he was fairly young-or hid if he wasn't supposed to be there. At first, his parents were worried about him. He didn't speak until he was almost 6 years old-a lot longer than it usually takes. But the reason they waited so long was because he was practically reading before he could fully walk. They were never sure, but they'd see his eyes moving across the pages or would flip them himself if he was being read to, at the exact right time. They knew he was special, but it didn't fully hit until he finally did speak. A full sentence. He was doing a large puzzle with his mother, when she was struggling to put in a piece-as the colors did match where she was trying to put it. He just grabbed it from her, said "That's wrong, it goes over here," and put it in the right spot. Soon after he wouldn't stop speaking. They joke that he just didn't have anything important to say until then. It wasn't long after they found out about his photographic memory, as he was able to remember things quite easily even if they were said once. He's learned to love math, and plans to take his fathers place one day as councilman.

  Theodluin Qinrel: His father. Him and his father get along and also butt heads. Kimo loves bothering him and correcting his mistakes, but also loves talking with him about the new things he's learned and his father loves listening to him talk.

  He likes to go on adventure by himself, as his photographic memory is a lot. Sometimes a lot of things appear at once, and it's not always good things or things that are helpful. There have been many times where he's has so many 'photos' appear at once that he's unable to do anything. So he just sits in a quiet spot until his mind clears.

  He used to slightly change his fathers equations the first time he goes through them. Of course, he'd always change it back before he double-checked, but it always made him chuckle seeing his father confused how he made such a small mistake.

  Positive:
  -Kind: Ezran is the first to offer help when asked. If he happens to notice somebody struggling, he'll more often than not stop what he's doing to try and help. He even tries to help in class but...well, he tries.
  -Genuine: Ezran is incredibly genuine. He just says what he's thinking and means it. He likes to be him and doesn't really care to be anybody else.
  -Simple: He's just, very easy to please and make happy. If he's upset, it's not for long, especially if he's given food or reminded of food he's going to be having later.
  Neutral:
  -Quiet: He tends to just not talk. He likes to enjoy his surroundings and wander and listen more than talk. He only gets slightly annoyed when people are obnoxious, but even then just tends to go somewhere else if he wants quiet.
  -Daydreamer: He's often lost in his own thoughts. He could be thinking about a friend, his family, food, some book he's read. Doesn't really matter, but he does often have an rbf as he's daydreaming.
  Negative:
  -Kinda dumb: He just...doesn't quite grasp everything that's being said. He's also very bad at realizing when somebody is sarcastic and doesn't get a lot of sayings. When someone first said "You've burnded all your bridges" he thought they were saying someone lit a bridge on fire and was incredibly concerned about it.
  -Standoffish: It's mostly because of him daydreaming and thinking of many other things. He often doesn't even realize that somebody is there and that he's walking past them.
  -Forgetful: He's 100% the person to be like "Wait, we had a test today???" Thank goodness for the people around him to remind him about tests and homeworks, but he's always incredibly thankful.

  Ezran is the second child of Katolis. His sister is a bit older than him and was the one that always had an interest in ruling, where Ezran really didn't. He mostly just kept to himself and did whatever as he got older. He has a good relation with people he's met, but prefers the quite of the garden or people watching while undercover.   Dorothy Akuji: His mother. He's very close with his mom. She spoils him quite a bit, but he obviously doesn't really mind.
  
  Elijah Akuji: His father. He loves his father, but just spends more time with his mom. He often worries that Ezran isn't going to...amount to anything, but still loves his son regardless.
  
  Evelyn Akuji: His sister. She's 10 years older than Ezran, and has always been much more mature and involved than Ezran. They get along well, but just have different lives and interests.

  Katolis is known for their arcitecture. They have weird buildings and things all over the kingdom. They're one of the oldest kingdoms, having been around for 1000s of years, and are incredibly wealthy. Their societal views are kind of 'opposite' of most, with many more women in positions of power than men. There's many beautiful rivers and lakes surrounding Katolis, and they do their best to take very good care of them and the surrounding land. While there's quite a gap between the lower class and the upper class, the lower class still make more than enough to live comfortably and poverty is hardly known of here. They have many different systems and organizations to help out with anythiing you'd need. Including; mental health, single parenthood, and some of the best orphanages around.

  Atlas always has his armor on. Even if he looks like he doesn't have it on, he most likley has some sort of armor on underneath his clothes. He always has a weapon on him, and definitely one of those people that takes out a ton of weapons when he needs to remove them.

  Positive:
  -Hardworking: Atlas will practice something until he perfects it, no less. And as soon as he doesn't do something perfect, he's back to practicing.
  -Helpfu;: He won't hesitate to do something for others. While his princess is his first priority, when not around her for some reason, he's more than willing to help out.
  -Obedient: He's not going to hesitate to do something for the royal family, even if he doesn't exactly agree with it. He'll see that the task is done with for them.
  -Loyal: He will constantly defend those he's close with, but espexcially the royal family. Lord help those that say something bad about the royal family around him.

  -Protective: Sometimes overly protective, he doesn't want a single scratch on the royal family and those he cares about. He'll do anything to make sure that they're safe and that nobody is going to hurt them.
  -Aggresive: If he has reasons to believe that somebody is going to try to hurt the royal family, he won't hesitate to stare them down and not let them close to the royal family, even a friend.

  Atlas grew up in poverty. He hardly remembers his parents and chooses to believe that they died as he's not sure what happened to them. He had to quickly learn how to defend himself and steal to make sure he stayed alive, which also quickly hardened him. He's watched many people die and also killed some himself. He would help those who were unable to defend themselves, and would've much rather gone hungry than to watch a young child go hungry. When he was 13 he saw a little girl being gripped on the arm by a man running a food cart. He was quick to just immediately go up and punch the guy so he dropped the girl. Unfortunately for him, guards had just appeared because of the crying and saw him. He was quick to run, but didn't know that he was followed. A head guard found him in his little 'home' and made a show of putting down his weapons. Atlas, still suspicious, stayed far away and ready to bolt, but the man explained that he's seen him running through the city quite a few times, and wanted to give him a chance. If he could cleanup his act and prove himself, he'd be able to join the guards. So he did. He started training, and found a lot of joy in it. He liked having a purpose in life and was quick to go up the ranks with all of the guards, and soon became a personal guard to the princess.

  He barely remembers his sisters being born, but he remembers having a feeling of instant love and a want to protect them. They rarely hide anything from each other and he often goes to them when he feels he won't be a good ruler. The older he got, the more he'd actually listen in on meetings he was invited to. It was through those he realized all the wrong things his parents and government had been doing. He'd hear the pleas of the people and they wouldn't do anything that would actually help them. Or they'd do something that seemed like they were helping, but in the long run, it would only hurt them more. After that he started to do different things behind their backs and come up with a plan to fix that once he's older. He's worked hard and used people to his advantage, as much as he doesn't fully like that, but he knows that it needs to be done, otherwise his parents could find out and ruin all that he's worked for. He'd going to do what it takes to be the best king he can be for his people and for others as well. He's done everything he can to form small alliances that'll hopefully turn bigger the more he ages, and he won't let anyone get in his way.   -Studious: Laila has always enjoyed learning. It was part of why she became Natalia's handmaiden, as she helped her study a lot more. She's always made sure to make time for her studies and isn't stressed about that for school.

  backstory

  Laila was born in the castle. Her mother was the head maid, in charge of all the others, and her father was one of the knights. She was born only a few months after the the youngest of the Alden royals, Natalia. Now Laila's mother, being the head maid, had helped the queen with all of her children and it wasn't any different with the youngest. There were definite similarities in the two, but it wasn't obvious until they were both toddlers and Laila had been scooped up by the king-who thought she was Natalia-and started playing with her, which caused Laila to burst into tears and run for her mother. She's still teased to this day, and Natalia would often try to convince Laila to switch places for a few hours, just to see how long it'd take. Of course there were key differences, minus personality, that showed the difference between the two girls. Natalia looked confident. Always holding her hear high and standing tall, where Laila had a hard time doing so. The biggest difference were their eyes, Laila's were much darker, but contacts could easily fix that. And Laila's ears were a bit longer, but you'd have to know both of them to truly see that difference.
  
  Laila had quickly became the handmaid to the princess, they had been close since birth and she was easily trusted by the royal family. They had always been there for her mom, when her husband died on a scouting trip. And later for Laila, when her mother had gotten ill and wasn't able to get better. The same illness fell on Natalia. The kingdom grew worried for their princess, as they knew how hard it was to actually get better. Not wanting to worry them too much, the king and queen asked Laila to make a few appearances here and there. Nothing too big, she'd never have to speak in front of everyone, and it'd never be too long, as they'd be able to use the illness for when Laila couldn't handle anymore. It was very stressful at first, but Natalia assured her she'd do just fine. Laila never could've imagined being sent to Grand Ridge, and it was one of the few times she openly spoke out against it to the royals. If she's caught what would happen to them? The scandal would alone would cause a ton of problems! And what would happen to Laila?? She's just a simple maid, surley other kingdoms wouldn't like being lied to. It took much convincing, but with Natalia slowly getting better, Laila assumed she'd only be at Grand Ridge for a year, worst case two. They knew that she was 'different' from her sickness, unable to speak as much as before. Laila planned to just lay low, close herself off from others, and just be with herself. Would she be lonely? Maybe. But it was the safest way.
  
  Of course, Laila was a little excited for school. As she had another secret that only Natalia knew about. Lady Ashdown. A gossip column of the royal newspaper. Filled to the brim with gossip scandals and information, all written by Laila herself. As a maid, it's fairly easy to get gossip. Everyone suspects it's one of the nobles or royals anyway. And the fact that they were still being written when the princess was sick leads everyone to believe that it's not her, which hopefully leaves Laila out of it also. Of course, this is also a huge gamble, as sometimes gossip causes a little more drama than she means for it to, and people get upset. She's even written about other kingdoms, as it's gotten a lot more popular than she meant to. But everyone knows it orignated in the Kingdom of Vois, and a lot are looking forward for it coming to Grand Ridge, as that was in the latest column.

  Maria Anwir: Her mother. Laila had been incredibly close with her. And it absolutely destroyed her when she passed. She was incredibly quiet for a long time, only kind of speaking to Natalia and threw herself into her duties. She had eventually gotten better, but she still wonders if she's making her mother proud.
  
  Philip Anwir: Her father. He had passed when she was very young, so she didn't have any vivid memories of him. But he lived through the stories that her mom would tell. Secretly, Laila hopes to one day find the love that her parents had. Even at a young age, she could see how deeply her mother still cared for her father. And from the stories of others, her father cared just as deeply for her mother.
  
  Natalia Alden: The princess, her best friend. Close since birth, Natalia is one of the few people that Laila trusts with her entire being. Seeing her as sick as her mother breaks her heart, and she hopes every day that she'll get better. She's not sure she can stand loosing her too.

  The kingdom of Satia has always looked up to their Goddess Selmora, Maiden of Twilight. They've always taken her prophecy seriously and it's really the only reason the Rossi family is so popular, because it's believed they are descendants of the goddess. In fact, her prophecy finally came true 22 years ago, when Celestia Rossi was born on the first night of spring. It's said the stars were burning exceptionally bright that night, causing more people to believe that she was who the prophecy was about. Of course, they've had this happen before, and they weren't truly the prophecy, but Celestia was born almost 2 months early. Of course, this was rather dangerous and she was incredibly small and fragile, but as spring came, she grew stronger. As Celes grew older, Satia's harvest has been stronger and better each year. Everyone believes it's because of the yearly sacrifice that the prophecy explained.

  As the prophecy goes "When the blood of the goddess is left within none. When the night comes and the stars are not hung. When all stories are sung. When Spring comes without bloom. This will be when the mortals have spelled their own doom. So long as her blood flows within one, her powers remain for the work yet to be done." So each year, since she was born, Celes has had to go to a blood altar and cut the palm of her hands with a dagger to make sure that spring will still bloom.

  The Kingdom of Satia is fairly cold. They live up in the mountains to be closer to the skies, believing that further helps them be close to their Goddess. The rulers have always been incredibly religious and close with the descendants of the Rossi family. Their kingdom is rather large, and they do the best to keep on good terms with their neighboring kingdoms as they don't believe in war and things of the like. They use some of the best technology for astrology and the skies in general. The part of their kingdom around the bottom of the mountain is all plains, and that's where a majority of the farmers live. The kingdom is heavily appreciative of their farmers, and don't have much poverty, in fact, most of the typical 'higher' and 'lower' class live all the same because of how much Satia gives back to the farmlands. Of course, there is a difference between that and the nobles/royals, but they're still a lot closer than a lot of other kingdoms.

  When Celestia was 14 years old, she was studying the Goddess Selmora when she happened to come across documents. While a majority of the documents were too old, some even crumbled in her hands, they were all documents that had been rewritten after decades and decades. She couldn't read the date, as it was in a very old language and the translations weren't always the best. But after reading the documents she found the true meaning of the prophecy, keeping the Goddesses stories alive-which is also what her and Satia did. She immediately had taken the documents to her parents and handed them over to prove that she didn't need to do the yearly ritual and that what they thought was all wrong. To her surprise, her parents took the documents and lit them on fire. Saying that there's no way the documents were true and that if anyone were to find out she'd ruin the image of the family. Celestia desperately tried to look for more documents, but anything relating to the prophecy was only within the last 100 years. She was devestated and it destroyed any chance for Celestia to trust her parents again.

  The year after her parents burned the letter, Celestia tried her own experiment. She went to do the ritual on her birthday and faked what she had to do. She wanted to prove to her parents that they were wrong about the prophecy. Unfortunately, that year was the worst for Satia. They barely had enough food to last through that years winter because of the poor spring and harvest. Of course, this just happened, it wasn't actually Celestia's fault. But she was terrified of the thought of putting the people through that again, even if she's still sure they're wrong, so she keeps up with the ritual.

  Lilly had been one of the cooks daughters at the kingdom of Kules. She grew up cooking, but also cleaning for the royal family, which included Ronan once he had arrived over as well. She's always been close with a lot of people, finding it easy to get along and get to know them, and quickly became close with the two as well. When Ronan found out about his uncle, and when his uncle sent people to kill Ronan, Lilly immediately decided she was going to help. She went with him when they snuck back into the city, but Lilly wanted to be able to help Ronan and the people more. She had met some of her greatest friends and didn't want them to suffer any longer. After much arguing with Lilly and Ronan, Lilly went to the castle of Halona as a maid. She quickly got close with all of the important people and did her best to send letters to Ronan about his next moves, where he would be sending people, and even where he was keeping his gold. Once Ronan dethroned his uncle and took his rightful place as king, she became advisor of the people to him. Of course, he didn't always need her, as he was close with his people all on his own, but she still wanted to help besides just being a maid.

  Ophelia's parents both passed when she was fairly young, which left Moira, her older sister, and her to take care of one another. They were both given an opportunity to be maids in the palace, which is something they both took to have a home and food. It was here that she met __ and Morpheus and they all became quick friends. When Ophelia was a teen, an attempt was made on a royals life and her sister had tried to stop the assassin, getting herself killed in the process. Luckily, Morpheus was there to make sure the same didn't happen to Ophelia, but that was...a bit much for her. Seeing Morpheus so violent wasn't something she had seen before, and it took her a bit of time to be able to cope with the loss of her sister and seeing her friend like that. She misses her sister greatly, and will always be thankful for her and Moira that she's still around and alive.

  As long as her freedom isn’t being restricted, Linnaea is a lovely young woman who loves to smile and laugh. She prefers to be outside either drawing, riding or exploring the endless gardens, and avoids the finer aspects of life as a royal when possible. However, while she’s always been a restless soul, she’s been particularly ornery this last year after becoming Princess due to the death of her uncle. She loves her parents deeply, so she has been trying to take her lessons seriously- dancing, piano playing, government courses, etc.- but her lack of freedom has been suffocating her.   In short, Linnaea enjoyed the life of a royal without the pressure of being a Princess while her Uncle was King of Ambrielle. However, after her uncle died, her father took the throne and life changed dramatically. She is now third in line for the throne behind her two older brothers. She has two younger sisters who are considerably younger, at the ages of 10 and 6.
  
  Linnaea didn’t intend to attend Grand Ridge Academy, but after becoming Princess, her parents felt it in her best interest to attend the renowned school to help her transition into her new role.

  Born the niece of the King of Ambrielle, Linnaea was fortunate to enjoy the comforts of being a royal without being in the public eye. Everyone expected King Earnest to live a long life and for the throne to pass onto his heirs. Linnaea’s father, Prince Leopold, was never supposed to be King and so he was able to live in the countryside in a small palace with his family. There a young Linnaea was able to grow up playing outside, enjoying her own interests, with minimal restraint. Only when visiting her Uncle at the castle was Linnaea expected to be proper.
  
  Unfortunately, King Earnest didn’t marry or have any heirs, and he died before his time. This turned Linnaea’s world upside down. Suddenly her father was king and she was third in line for the throne. Princess lessons began immediately and her independence was restricted. For the past two years Linnaea has wanted to rebel, but she sees the pressure her father is under and doesn’t want to make things harder on him.   Her parents are keen on finding a suitor for Linnaea to marry that will strengthen their new rule over a kingdom that still mourns the loss of their late king. Her eldest brother has already been betrothed to a second born princess from a neighboring kingdom and they are due to be married by the end of the year. Her second oldest brother is in his last year at Grand Ridge and he is supposed to propose any day now. So that leaves Linnaea to carry the weight of her parent’s attention and expectations to do her duty. While she wasn’t originally going to attend Grand Ridge, Linnaea has been sent there for two reasons: to tame her wild side and refine her manners & to find her a husband.   The Kingdom of Ambrielle is largely comprised of humans, but all races are welcomed if peaceful. Ambrielle is a smaller kingdom and only a few centuries old, so there is still a lot of growth and change to be had in the future. The kingdom’s prosperity over the years is due to mining in their mountains for gold and jewels and their fertile land. Of course their mining is nowhere near as impressive as those of the dwarves, but progress is continuing to be made.
  
  Due to being smaller, having ample crops and an endless supply of gold and jewels (so far), Ambrielle is a very wealthy kingdom. Even the commoners live comfortable lives if willing to work a reasonable amount. Though there is still a large disparity between the townspeople and the royals/nobles of Ambrielle, who live lavishly and throw excessive parties. These parties though serve as their diplomacy in a way since they invite other rulers from neighboring kingdoms to be their guests of honor to upkeep relations. Gifts of gold and jewels are given to the other kings and queens to keep them from covering the rich mines of Ambrielle. And trade of crops is maintained cordially.
  
  Though a small kingdom with envied resources, Ambrielle hasn’t been threatened by war or siege due to its mountainous borders making it difficult to invade. Plus the good relations it keeps with neighbors. The kingdom doesn’t look to expand either, which makes it nonthreatening to others. Now, the only threat Ambrielle faces is from within its borders after King Earnest’s death. The people loved King Earnest, despite his flaws of over indulgence, and aren’t as familiar with his brother, Leopold who spent the last few decades in the privacy of the country side. It doesn’t help that the new “Stranger King”, as the people refer to him, is married to an elf foreigner and that the next in line to the throne is half elf. Ambrielle has always been ruled by humans. Though until now, that seemed to be more accident than necessity.
