Grand Fleet

Satisfied with the damage he had dealt, Fellos turns and plants his sword into the hull of the ship so that it sinks down to chest height and the near demon rests his chin on it. Despite all the goading there was one thing this William didn't know, "Wiilliam you seem to be misunderstanding something. I could have transformed into a demon by now already. At least....it feels that way. I've seen other mortals ascend and become demons with far less in both quantity and quality of souls. It seems like my own soul has just been biding it's time. Absorbing more and more energy so that when I do consume a soul that was worth killing for....hhahaha! My transformation will practically make me a god. But that means I have to wait until I meet an opponent worth pushing me to that limit." The back and forth between the two was entertaining to watch and Fellos chuckled everyone Gabriel called him Billy. "You fight the pretty lady William. But just know that you can only get killed by her or run away because no one is going to end her life except me. We already came to that agreement. So if you beat her you can rest assured that you aren't killing her. Figured it was fair to let you know you are going to die one way or another." Crimson turned his attention to the soldier now and he called up mockingly to her, "Hearr that Officer? Your soul is mine to eat so prove me right!"

@Destructus Kloud @Gabriel Forfax

Gabriel raised an eyebrow, glancing at the warrior while smirking. "Whatever you say, Crimsy, but I won't be serving myself on a plate!", she retorted , lightness of her war scythe allowing her to easily change its trajectory and move to slice the demon once again. Unlike the large in size mortal, the demon Forfax fought was quite close to her own body type, meaning that she couldn't count on simply dogging his attacks until he forfeit the fight.  As Officer swung her scythe she decided to waste far more energy than she did in the fight with the warrior, part of her wanting to prove Crimson that she wasn't as weak as he thought. Few weaker demons and puppets certainly won't be giving me a promotion, she thought as  her scythe cut trough air on its way towards mister Rundell. Suddenly four more serpents additionally enforced with aether ruptured from the floor, two of them moving to suffocate William while other two attacked him from opposite sides along with their master.

@shadowz1995 @Destructus Kloud

William laughed aloud at the two of them, almost hysterically, "Ohh, oh that's great..." He wiped a tear that had formed from his eye with a large talon, "You two seem to believe I'm actually able to be killed." He allowed the snakes to suffocate him and the other two to strike as the scythe arced over and lodged itself in his face, "Please, Immortal. Allow me to show you the true meaning of immortality." His arm seemed to balloon to twice it's size and the talons grew into the size of small swords. He slashed at everything before him, laughing again. The snakes were smashed to pieces and the claws collided with the scythe, sending it and it's wielder flying back. The flesh demon flexed it's claws, grinning slyly at Fellos, "Unfortunately for you, we don't have that kind of time to wait around." He seemed to blur for a moment and then appeared before him, his speed definitely back at it's full potential. William slammed Fellos into the metal wall, denting it, the claws digging into the steel around his body as he was held down. William then called behind himself over his shoulder, "Nanautzin! It's time for you to unlock this man's inner demons." He grinned and stared into Fellos' eyes enthusiastically, "Bring me the soul virus." He finally told the virus demon, his free hand extended outwards. The virus would be injected into the soul and Nanautzin would do whatever it was that he did to mess around with it until the demon within was released. It reminded him of his own experiences and William smiled fondly at them; he had killed many people and taken many souls that day. As he was occupied, he was sure that the virus demon's puppets were dealing with the immortal. He wondered if she had realised that it was humans she was killing, supposedly the people she was meant to be protecting.

Alvis Bo

The Air Immortal sighed, once more her gaze drinking in their surroundings. "That does seem to be the concern. I myself do not hold the knowledge of their exact location, but if I had to guess, I would say fighting. Around the Grand Fleet. For it would be too ludicrous to retreat back." Observing her seemed ally, Alvis concluded to confide a little information with him. "I am Alvis." She added simply, hoping it would secure his assist. The clash of Immortals and Demons resounded in the distance, and it did not ring well to Alvis's ears. She had agreed to this war for her planet and peace. And the sooner the war was disposed with, the better in her eyes. @Shnuydude

Malesh Nytarr

The Virus Immortal

"Whether an ability is made for support or direct combat depends on the user. Where I came from, the only limitation is oneself." Malesh kept following Theon in a similar speed, "Truly, it would be terrible if they did. Don't worry, they also worry about mortals and their souls. If they haven't moved in to stop the demons themselves it is likely that they are fighting your allies or have retreated." Or maybe not, MAYBE there were other immortals out there working towards doing something. If there is a next mission, they should make sure they have better synergy and communication. Or at least, some sort of real planning.

@Petroshka @Rurnur

It's not that the mortal didn't see his opponent approach nor that he couldn't react to it. Fellos simply chose not to. This fight was Gabriel's and he intended to keep it that way. Fellos reinforced his body the moment the demon flashed before him and the knock back blow he took did pitiful damage. The man slammed against the metal walls and he was quickly pinned beneath great claws made of the demon's bones. Interesting to say the very least but far from impressive. Physical damage was a quick way to not get what you wanted from Fellos, as the man was a literal monster in terms of defense and strength. As he called out to the demon that Fellos had met when he arrived, the mortal man arched an eyebrow. Maybe this flesh controller wouldn't be able to do a whole bunch but things like virus energy would definitely punch a whole in his defenses. Though he didn't let that show in anyway, "You find hilarious to think we can kill you? I think it's funny how you think you can't be slain. The girl is more than capable of killing you. I really don't need to do anything. The other demon can come fight me. He will prove a far greater challenge then your weak flesh ever could." He then turned his attention to Gabriel, "You mind taking care of this or am I going to have to step in Officer?"

@Destructus Kloud @Gabriel Forfax

"one wonders if this immortal force is organized at all..." Acantha said passive aggressively, and unlike the two taking this quite well, after all promotions come from surviving brutal attacks. Not that this is brutal just yet. "say.. it is taking a awefully long time to reach these demons no? you think we might've lost their scent?"

@Rurnur @Archene

"Oh no, I've got them. Gabriel's up ahead, way outnumbered, let's speed up!" Theon motioned to Acantha and quickened his pace, pushing himself off the ground with each step, he bounded towards the dark energy readings, while attempting to communicate with Gabriel. "It's Theon, Acantha and I are heading to your location, do you have things sorted? I can't sense the captain, she must be protecting the fleet from outside, or at least I would hope so." Theon spoke to Gabriel, growing closer to several energy readings, including one demon he didn't recognize.

@Gabriel Forfax@Archene@Petroshka@SleepyBuddha@shadowz1995

Gruul was indeed cut into various pieces thanks to the soon to be demon as it made the wrong assumption that because it's energy was similar to its master that the fledgling would attack it. However much like it's master physical attacks weren't going to be doing much as Gruul began putting himself back together at the cellular level. As he did his very DNA changed to learn from the experience, making Gruul's skin much harder than the first time, almost comparable to stone. After a good few minutes of Gruul's first 'death' Nanautzin himself opened up up the viral wall and walked out.

The battle was going in a very different directions than he would have hoped. On a resource level he was losing far too many viral puppets to this. This war of attrition would have to be won in the late game. Sending his viral puppets deeper into Fleet through the route blocked by Nanautzin's wall of viral membrane Nanautzin made sure that the puppets would search for humans, not artificial, not demons, not immortals. Humans.

Nanautzin jerked his head over to his fellow demon William and the Fellos, summoning his soul weapon before jumping forward with a powerful flap of his wings and practically appeared beside William already moving to place his hand on Fellos' head. His massive weapon, almost as large as the 7ft tall demon himself,  laid in his other and ready for an attack.

"Officer Gabriel here, I've got it under control", Gabriel shortly answered in midair and easily landed on her feet as she was thrown away, glancing over at the two demons by Crimson's side. Officer won't let herself be so easily ignored, and she will make them remember that. Metal tiles crumbled under the Reaper's boots when she propelled herself in the air, each additional step of hers causing the floor to quake as she approached the until now unaware enemies. Metal lockers and everything lighter fell down  and tumbled around under the force of the repetitive earthquakes, the loud sound of it  deafening and easy to hear from larger distances. In the midst of the mess and clatter Officer summoned three snakes made out of stone and enforced by various ores, swinging her scythe at the demons with serpents clashing down on them.

William glanced at Nanautzin, "Make him a proper demon, even if it kills him. Alter his D a or something whatever it is you do. These people don't ally with demons." He grinned for a moment before turning to the captain. The smile faded, "You don't entertain me. Either fight with better tactics or get stronger. I prefer the latter." He nonchalantly raked his massive claw in the air, ripping the snakes apart and sending the immortal back again. He continued to stroll over to her, bored, "We could always just have an intellectual chat than fight; this is rather pointless. Your friend over there doesn't seem to believe me but I am basically immortal. I do not age, I do not sustain damage, I do not die." He stated these things with a simple shrug, claws making large cuts into the steel floor as he approached her, "You are supposedly more than able to kill me? Then please try!" The claw shrunk to the size of a normal hand and he stood there, allowing her to attack. Of course he had moved his soul around his body, it wasn't impossible that she could pierce the orb that contained the white energy. And even he didn't know what would happen to an immortal body with no soul.

@shadowz1995 @SleepyBuddha @Gabriel Forfax

Nanautzin simply nodded and grabbed Fellos by his head hoisting him into the air and keeping him at his full arm length away so that if Fellos wanted to deal damage it would more likely be his arm.

" Now I understand the process will be painful, but I understand how you feel mortal. It took me several centuries of feasting on humans before I finally changed into a demon. For a mortal like you I'm curious why you are taking so long. Could it be your body? Is there something special about your DNA? I can't wait to find out." As Nanautzin said this his grip tightened on Fellos' head and he injected his viral energy into Fellos' body and soul by digging his claws into his head. As the viral energy propagated through the body Nanautzin got a read out of Fellos' DNA sequence, body, and soul. The soul was about at the level one would expect of a mortal almost becoming a demon.

"Now let's look at the DNA...." The viral demon muttered as the viral began rooting around in Fellos' soul looking for the darkness within him. Much like Theon did to Nanautzin the viral demon planned to draw out the darkness by force using his energy.

@Destructus Kloud @Rurnur @Gabriel Forfax @shadowz1995

Gabriel chuckled, straightening up and throwing her scythe away , looking at him. "I'd love to solve this with a nice game of chess, but I could use a promotion more", Officer confessed, focusing her aether into her hands as she calmly approached him. No matter how much tissue created, no one but an earth controller like herself could heal petrification, and no matter that fact, the young soldier was terrified. Terrified of knowing that she would resort to the syringe without a second thought, Gabriel unzipped her jacket just in case the situation called for it. Officer stopped only few steps away from William, looking at him. "I'm all yours, mister Rundell".

@Destructus Kloud

Acantha quickened her pace but still not worrying her strings are already hundreds of feet in front of them detecting any would be ambushers. "im sure she'll hold out theon" she attempted to ensure him. Acantha herself didn't really think Gabriel could hold out for long but keeping morale up was necessary. she wondered how to deal with William, Nanutzin shouldn't be too much of a problem if she could mimic the effect of vibrating the virus dead. But then again she shouldn't count on that trick. She looked back at the virus immortal wondering how useful he will be.

@Rurnur @Gabriel Forfax @SleepyBuddha @Destructus Kloud @Archene @shadowz1995

William grinned, fighting was all well and fun, but there perhaps a less violent way of antagonising his enemies, "What do we have here?" His hand snaked out to pluck the small vial from her breast pocket, holding it away from the immortal, "Hmm? Don't tell me you're a drugs consumer? You know that's basically you committing suicide very slowly right?" He grinned, popping the whole vial into his mouth and swallowing, but not breaking the vial open, "I'll hold onto this. I'm doing you a favour " He winked, "Now, about that battle?"

(He's only taken it from you and stored it in his body, the soul stuff inside is still intact and not being absorbed.)

@Gabriel Forfax

Gabriel didn't stop William, and she looked at him straight in the eyes as he pulled out the syringe from her pocket. His action elicited a  surprised chuckle from the Officer, young soldier being enough entertained by this demon to tell him about her so well thought out attack plan. "Pretty simple, mister, I will punch you and then we just have to wait until you die." her plan was so elaborate and complex that... even a toddler could understand it. Forfax, yet, still said it with such conviction that it was hard to not at least partially believe in her silly plan.

Serpents only proved to be a short distraction to the strong demon, and  Officer thought about turning the entire place into a pit full of vipers at one point, though she gave up after remembering that she wasn't fighting alone. Forfax could have got herself away from the situation by simply using stone in various, effective ways. Earthquakes, sandstorms, stone walls, rock shards, armor, limitless weapon supply, brute strength...

But, with her stubborn attitude and pride she got from the deceased Captain, Gabriel refused to use any other than serpent-oriented attacks, along with pure luck. "Sounds good to you? We can also exchange few hits without that syringe, but that's about it ", she slightly smiled.

@Destructus Kloud

William shook his head, chuckling, "Whatever you say, miss. Let's try the one punch thing. We'll see if there's any merit to it." There was no way a simple punch could kill him, least of all anything concerning stone powers. What, she'd throw rocks at him? He suppressed a smile at that, but awaited her so highly thought of punch.

@Gabriel Forfax

The male mortal breathed a little easier after Randell released him buy that feeling was quickly changed by the vital demon placing a hand on his head with surprising strength. Fellos was certain that he did not have this strength in the beginning....that Fellos was much stronger, at least physically than the demon. Was the demon transformation that much different? The thought was exciting. How much more powerful would he become? With it he could surely..... "Nanautzin, out of respect for when we met before." He said barely above a whisper. The warrior's entire body started to shake and tremble from the depths of power that he was feeling rising up from within himself. "As soon as I ascend....run."

Oh he could feel it. The power! The delicious power that he had been craving all along just locked away! The viral energy moved through his body with free reign because Fellos didn't fight it. He allowed it to do its job and he didn't regret doing so. Every individual soul's energy was surging within him and making Fellos feel like he was about to explode. Something felt wrong. Too much it was too much power all at once. Crimson's self preservation kicked in and he gripped the viral demon's arm with unrestrained force and that was enough to crush any immortal, demon, or artificial's arm to bits. But of course that didn't stop the virus from doing its job and furthering the surge that threatened to spill over. At some point the trembling turned to convulsions and Crimson was starting to lose his grip on his control over his power. It was too great, too many souls, too much raw energy! It was starting to leak and Fellos did everything humanely possible to contain it.....but that was just it

Everything HUMANLY possible. "RRRRRRRAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!"

The mortals soul exploded and overflowed from its human cage and destroyed itself and everything that it was. From the ashes and ruin rose not Fellos the mortal....but Fellos the Demon. The whites of his eyes had become black as night and the iris had a permanent scarlet glow to them now. His hair had grown. It used to be shoulder length but it grew into a spiky mess about to his lower back. He looked like a wildling from the fairy tales except this was real and outright terrifying. He grew two more feet in height and put on 150 more pounds of rippling muscle and the fur like hair added 20 more. Even though it looked like hair, a more careful look revealed that it was actually steel. His power became his new permanent armor and it was stronger than Crimson could have ever imagined his metal could be and ten times more malleable.

He stood now at 7'1 and over 400 lbs of terror and might. Claws were nails once were. Fangs where there were teeth. And power. So Much RAW POWER! He never knew this was even possible to have this much. In terms of how much he changed it wasn't so much outward but internally his power shifted to something he never thought possible. A quick glance to his weapon showed that it was no longer there. His body had been reset after all so it must have joined back into his body.

His senses were dialed up to 11 and he felt as if he could move faster than sound. But above all the HUNGER.....it was absolutely mortifying. He needed to eat, his entire tank was just used up after all and it felt exponentially bigger than before. It would take awhile to fill it back up. But he could start with....

Fellos bashed the virus demon's arm to the side with a flick of his wrist and surged forward with speed comparable to an organic bullet. Eyes full of hunger and bloodlust reflected beautifully in those glowing crimson eyes, framed by the black of the void. He fires a clawed arm at the flesh demon's center and is fully intending on running him through. If he doesn't manage to avoid it then he would take his other arm and start to pull him apart from the wound, like tearing cloth at seams. Just before his eyes would flick to Gabriel's and if she wasn't watching him closely she would have missed it because it was only for an instant but....he gave her a wink.

@Destructus Kloud @Gabriel Forfax @SleepyBuddha

William turned in surprise to see a new demon barrelling towards him. He had time for a faint smile before the claw pierced into him, quickly followed by another that made the new hole bigger and proceeded to rip him in half. The two pieces were thrown aside. William knew that this new demon form of his required sustenance, and he would have obliged to part with a few souls in feed the monster, but it had offended him slightly, so he decided against it. Instead, each side of his body melted through two sets of metal grates in the floor, seeping into some lower part of the ship. He would let Nanautzin play with them, he had a new possession to inspect. Reforming a few floors below, William held the syringe aloft, looking at it through the light. It appeared to be some kind of misty white liquid, although there wasn't much. He stroked his chin thoughtfully, it looked an awful lot like pure souls, but an incomplete combination of them. Like, there weren't actually any souls in it, instead just the energy from them. It was truly an odd sight and idea indeed. Perhaps this was what that infernal chemical immortal had been referring to when he said they gained their soul power through other means? William was intrigued to say the least, making his way down the hallway. He would see if it was possible to extract this soul energy whilst leaving the souls intact.

@shadowz1995 @Gabriel Forfax @SleepyBuddha (Aaaaaand I'm gone. :P )

Fellos' transformation was certainly different when compared to his own. Then again that may just be because their natures were different. Fellos seemed more of the brutish melee fighter while Nanautzin, in his own humble opinion, was more of a midrange fighter. His viral energy allowed him to control the battlefield from a distance while Ferros was a front line siege engine, and this newly awakened siege engine was ready to do his job. " Fest well my companion, for there are still more morsels to taste." Nanautzin said as his arm covered itself in a thick membrane cast of sorts to protect the arm while the regeneration took place. It seemed to Nanautzin that while Fellos got a major boost to his physical power Nanautzin got a major boost to his energy power. He felt like he could make 4 or 5 more of creatures like Gruul before he needed to rest.

Taking Fellos' word Nanautzin stood right where he was while he sent Gruul to lead the viral puppets. The barricade he had made was pretty pointless at this point to he reassigned the biomass of the barricade to the floor, a slow process to be sure but one once complete would stretch through a large portion of the ship they were in. The path now clear of obstruction the artificals no longer had their backs against the wall.

Nanautzin heaved his weapon onto his shoulders and simply watched as Ferros attacked. He knew the hunger of just awakening and after what happened to William he wasn't going to push his luck.

Gabriel clutched her hand into a fist, raising and swinging it in the direction of William's face swiftly, only to abruptly stop in midair. What got more of Officer's attention was Crimson starting to change under the effect of  whatever that virus monster was. Warrior seemed to reassemble right before their eyes into something greater, something more sinister, but what younger soldier felt at that moment wasn't terror, in fact, it was awe. She had the first seat of something more extraordinary than a birth of a star, and Forfax felt grateful to Crimson for letting her witness it, lowering her fist and abandoning her attack for now to fully focus on it.

The way he reassembled... will her becoming a Sentinel, or even gaining a Soul Armor be anything like that? How does it feel, does it hurt? Will he become an entirely different person? Officer had so many questions, and in the middle of her pondering a large and masculine figure rose up from the ashes. Before she even managed to process what was going on Forfax jumped back on a hunch, only to see a brisk flash of Crimson's armor as he crossed the distance so quickly, almost impossible for a naked eye to notice. In the next moment the newborn demon stood in front of William, tearing the Flesh lord into two with ease, making Officer's shoulders tense up as she landed.

It was only when the warrior winked at her that Gabriel finally relaxed, chuckling at the demon's goofiness. As William disappeared bellow their feet, Officer turned towards the other demon present, narrowing her eyes slightly. It was obvious that Crimson ran right past him, but if not warrior's the winged demon was still Forfax' enemy. Should she chase after William, or the virus puppet master? She turned towards the warrior. "Crimsy, that flesh demon stole something from me, I'll be going after him with or without you.", she stated, knowing that she couldn't force him into anything, especially since they weren't actual allies. Without the syringe Officer will only present a punching bag to the demons  she just encountered, so retrieving the item presented a top priority. Gabriel dialed up Theon.

"Officer Gabriel here, I managed to separate the demons and will proceed to eliminate the flesh demon."

@Destructus Kloud @SleepyBuddha @shadowz1995 @Rurnur

Theon nodded to himself and unholstered his pistol, running up the hall, preparing to encounter the demons. "Very well, Acantha and I will be targeting Nanautzin, and.. a new demon? Where did he come from?" Theon frowned, glancing back at Acantha. "Gabriel, did you truly finish off that demon? I don't believe that such a powerful enemy could enter the fleet, unknown to any of us. He must have escaped from you, after I asked you to finish him off." Theon was growing more stressed by the minute, with the death of the captain, and the failings of his team, he was quickly forced into the captain's position.

He then removed his hand from the earpiece and spoke to Acantha. "There's two demons we need to eliminate, one is a virus user, Nanautzin, and the other has just recently entered it's true form. Do you have a preference, which one you'll take on? And Immortal, if you truly wish to kill these creatures, feel free to support the both of us in our battles. Make sure that we are not interrupted by more intruders." He gave orders harshly, but not truly expecting them to be followed.

@Petroshka@Gabriel Forfax@Archene

"i'll have a dance with the old man!" Acantha said running, if the vibration effect happened on Archene's virus then it should definitely happen to Nanautzin. If it didnt or Nana somehow found a way around it she would have a backup plan, keep disabling Nana until Theon and the others are done with the other demon. If worst came to worst Theon and herself still had the syringes as a last resort, and she was sure Gabe still hasn't used hers. Perhaps a sentinel or a mech-level Artificial would come in to intervene? She had her doubts but it was a low possibility, perhaps she can use it as a sort of buffing piece?

@Rurnur @Gabriel Forfax @Archene

Malesh Nytarr

The Virus Immortal

Malesh kept following Theon as if pondering something in silence. After all, what he was currently doing could count as leading them to a trap. If various Immortals came in, haven't died and he was alone. He was certainly being a good... distraction. "I will do what I can," The Virus Immortal smiled, "After all, I'm just a support right?" He was ready to fight though, if those two wanted the fights of their lives, they'd get them. He'd just be sure to damage an enemy here or there to be sure that they wouldn't lose their fights. If they got too weak after winning, all he had to do was to not let them keep going after him.

@Rurnur @Petroshka

Nanautzin could sense a strike team making its way over to them and began walking away from the fight between his new brother and the officer. The fact that he was a demon didn't really factor into Nanautzin's confidence. It was a simple matter of it would be just him verses the group and he wasn't going to put himself in the hands of a freshly born demon who already killed one of his own.  He would mood to set up a battlefield that gave him an advantage rather than fighting the enemy on their terms. " I would wrap up that fight of yours William before her reinforcements get here. We don't need to be dragged into a battle where they hold all the cards." Nanautzin warned as he ran past.

Meanwhile Gruul was leading the horde of viral puppets deeper into the fleet. There were plenty of humans for them all to snack on as they went, but the problem was in the soldiers that they found. The soldiers didn't run and hide like humans, they fought and killed the puppets. Gruul was being forced to think tactically in order to overcome the basic soldiers of the Fleet so that the numbers of the horde didn't disappear. Unfortunately Nanautzin didn't really craft Gruul with the intention of leading so it was a slow process for the viral monster to figure it all out. Over 60% of the horde had been lost in one skirmish with a squadron and he knew that his master Nanautzin wouldn't be happy about that.
