"Growf!"
This is a romance between a country girl living on a family ranch and a man who bought a ranch “next door.” (Bear in mind that next door is describing ranches with acreage in the thousands of acres. He bought the place for peace and quiet.
Enter our rancher. Well, he just bought the ranch recently, though technically it is just hunting / fishing / camping land. He plans to buy a few cattle, some goats, and chickens. He was pulling a horse trailer. (He has a rescue horse that only he can ride. It bites anyone else who gets close.) He is young and handsome - and extremely tall (6’7”). Rumor has it he was sporting a lot of injuries when he arrived a month ago. But he will hire help to build pens, henhouses, mend fences, etc. His ranch is certainly not making any money.
Your character? I leave the details up to you. But the idea is that the ranch that she lives on is “next door to him. Age should be mid 20s - old enough to have gone off to college and returned. If you go that route, I leave it up to you as to her college major. If you can, come up with a backstory to explain why she came back, etc.
So how do the two meet? Well if you had meant for it to happen it would have been the oldest ploy in the world. Your car/pickup broke down a couple miles out of town. At least it was the beginning of summer.
Alternatively, he might try to rent a stall for his horse at your ranch and pay for help in taking care of the horse. As large as he is, he is having trouble picking up a bale of hay. As his own facilities need some renovation, this would be a good option for him.
Well in a town like Anaconda, MT population 9131, almost 9136, people are just a tad bit friendlier to a single woman stranded on the side of the road. He pulled his SUV over just ahead of her. Then he got out and walked back holding up his cell phone. (Coverage can be a bit spotty in the area.)
Possible Antagonists
Perhaps some former BFs who think they have a claim on your character. (A local deputy might be interesting if you want to make it a little tougher.)

I typically manage about a page per post.
I can generally manage at least 3-4 posts per week. I tend to get bored if the posting frequency drops.
